We enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable, well positioned and well equipped studio. The views over the harbour and the Farne Islands are superb. It was great to eat in looking at our view and enjoying excellent fresh and smoked fish from Swallow Fishery nearby.
A stunning barn conversion in a stunning location. Everything was perfect and Caroline was both really pleasant and very helpful. We will definitely re-visit.
Our stay as a family of 4,at the Hemmel was fantastic. Not 1 complaint, everything was catered for and the house was spotless with the quality of interior being really very good. Super location beach is 2 mins in the car and easy to walk to. Seahouses is 5 mins in the car and has everything needed without being too tacky. We would. Not hesitate to recommend this holiday cottage to family and friends we have done just that already. Stay Northumbria were a really good booking company too very professional and knowledgeable. Brilliant all round. Thank you.
The Causeway Barn is a well planned and equipped holiday home with many thoughtful touches from the owner (easter eggs!). I'd certainly consider bookign again.
Perfect place to spend the week. Very clean, comfortable and spacious. Location is stunning and peaceful. Would highly recommend. Very much hoping to return.
I couldn't fault Clam Shell Cottage. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. A home from home with every gadget you'd need. The garden and facilities for children are particularly good. Pat and Geoff are perfect hosts. Would definitely recommend for a perfect holiday.
Really enjoyed our short stay at Powder House, Pat and Geoff; the owners were very welcoming, the house was perfect in terms of location and cleanliness. Couldn't ask for anything more. Would definitely come back again.
Had a lovely week at Willow cottage cosy and comfy a real home from home . Had every thing you could think of to make your stay a perfect holiday . Really great place for exploring the surrounding area x
THE COTTAGE WAS JUST WHAT WE EXPECTED AND LOVED STAYING THERE. DO INTEND TO RECOMMEND TO OTHERS. INTEND RETURNING NEXT YEAR
The Byre is a lovely cosy cottage which proved ideal for our stay. Very well appointed with everything you could need. Absolutely spotless throughout. The location was great for us to visit nearby Warkworth village and to walk along the glorious beaches. Our dog enjoyed the stay and the lane provided us with a safe route to walk. Our hosts were lovely and provided a sumptuous welcome pack on our arrival. This is a cottage we would love to revisit.
We have holidayed in Northumberland on many occasions but wish we had found this bungalow before now! -A friendly welcome including delicious cake! -Spacious comfortable and spotlessly clean accommodation -Well equipped kitchen -Great location (near A1 but without noticeable noise) handy for getting to the many attractions of Northumberland -Great to see the daily routine with the farm animals -Enjoyed watching the swallows, house martins and kestrel
A week of utter bliss. Beautiful, spacious, light and comfortable cottage. Everything we needed was there. Superbly friendly and helpful owners. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Boca Chica cottage is the perfect base for exploring this interesting area of Northumberland. Not only were you only a few steps from the beach, but also near to many heritage sites. The Woodhorn Museum at Ashington is a must and only ten minutes drive away. There are many supermarkets and places to eat close at hand. It was great to know that at the end of each day there was a cosy cottage to go back to with every comfort you could possibly need. It is a credit to the owners, who were very friendly and welcoming. We are very pleased we chose to stay in Boca Chica cottage and would recommend i...more
We had a great week. The accommodation was perfect for us all...six adults two toddlers and a crawling baby. It was very comfortable, spacious and everything good quality. The children loved having horses and sheep at the bottom of the garden. The views were amazing. We will definately return
Couldn’t fault anything wrong with the cottage, everything was amazing and the beds and lining were of high quality. Would definitely recommend this to everyone. The road needs a speed restriction on it as drivers go to fast. Would love to stay there in the summer months. The young lad that stayed loved his own bedroom ensuite and the television. Bless him he left his £2.50 on the bedside table.
From opening the front door Bega’s Bede was a total delight and surprise....Fantastic facilities and so spacious. Loved all the shower/bathroom facilities.....A big plus for me, was being able to take our small 3 dogs to such a high standard level of accommodation.......I would love to return again...thankyou.
The accommodation was first class in every respect. It was not the first time we stayed here and it certainly won't be the last. Thank you for yet another fantastic holiday.
Wow! What a cottage! Blissful comfort, a kitchen with Aga to die for and every detail perfect. Breath taking walking in the Cheviots from the garden gate and the stunning coastline just a short drive away. Thank you for a memorable holiday.
The Penthouse Apartment is a great base to explore wonderful Northumberland. The apartment is spacious, well-appointed, full of light and very comfortable. It adds a touch of class and luxury to our Northumberland holiday (this was our 4th stay). No matter what sort of day you've had, you can look forward to stepping into the apartment and relaxing. Thanks to the Team at Stay Northumbria for continuing to provide such a high quality experience.
October visit and the weather was great ! Great location , main purpose of or holiday was to do lots of walking .. bamburgh beach is our favourite. Will be booking again X
Beautiful quiet and close to all the local attractions Lovely walks well equipped kitchen And well worth a visit
The holiday accommodation was excellent both my wife and myself had a lovely relaxing break, in a picturesque area.
Cottage is hidden away from the main town in on an estate near a school. You don't hear a thing. Neighbours are friendly and helpful and ready to pass on any advice. Cottage well equipped and comfy. Garden great for the dog. Only criticism was that the duvet was too warm for us, although due to the time of year can totally understand why a warmer tog for other customers
Beautiful apartment. Great location. Modern, comfortable and stylish. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
This cottage is a real home from home, and more. The attention to detail is amazing. The welcome pack on arrival with wine, strawberries and fresh bread was an added lovely touch. We felt like excited children exploring everything. All the furnishings are first class and very tasteful. It didn't feel like a holiday cottage at all, just like home. The 'only' down side was the lack of places to walk to front the cottage to eat, but if you are out all day then coming home to the cottage and making a meal in the fab kitchen is an excellent consolation. It is literally close to everything yo...more
Newish property on small tasteful estate of similar houses. Excellent accommodation had minor problems with TV and Microwave oven that were resolved the following day with no inconvenience to us. Very well positioned close to Alnwick amenities.
We stayed for a full week in The Old Post Office Cottage at Powburn and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We had never stayed in (or heard of!) the village before going there this summer but would have no qualms about returning. It is a great base to explore both the coastal and inland areas of Northumberland. The welcome package that the owners left for us included a personal message on a box of farm eggs for our young 2 1/2 year old daughter which was a great touch. There was a smell of damp/mustiness in the entrance vestibule and the cupboard where the immersion heater is situated b...more
I've lost count of the number of times we have stayed at Hideaway Cottage and every time we visit the property has been improved in some way. The cottage is excellently maintained, always spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming. The only problem we ever have is having to leave!
Thank you for allowing us to stay in the beautiful cottage. Cosy yet spacious.everything available for a perfect autumnal break.even the sun shone!. We will certainly be recommending coombs cottage to our family and friends
Topcliffe is in a great position looking out to the sea. Very warm, cosy and well equipped. Convenient local shop and great to cross the road in a morning and be down on the beach to walk my dogs.
Cranage cottage was a most comfortable and well equipped family house in the perfect location for exploring the best of the Northumberland heritage Coast. The weather wasn't great when we were there so we made good use of the extensive collection of family games and dvd available. Craig is a very kind and informative host and even gave us a pot of his delicious homemade jam! The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the whole house was well thought through even down to details such as hair straighteners and extension cables. The children (10 and 11) loved using the typewriter and playing croq...more
Second time at Lynbank and again another fab holiday! Great location for exploring and in walking distance to the beach and shops. Really comfortable house with everything you need.
What a lovely little bolt-hole where you can escape from the modern world. Swing open the stable door, settle down in a comfy chair with a cup of tea with the soothing drone of radio 4 in the background, and take in the view towards the sea - Idyllic. There is a tv - I'd recommend that you leave it off and enjoy the tranquility. Good food nearby, lovely countryside, and miles of beaches; I'll certainly be going back - as someone who takes regular short breaks, the shepherds hut, or Northumbrian Pride to give it its' proper name is one of the nicest places I've stayed in the last few years. Vale View is set in a small village with pretty views from the rear. All rooms are spacious and well appointed. An excellent venue for a family gathering or a group of friends.
Delightful stay. Great location - we had the French doors ajar in the evening listening to the sea. Lovely kitchen and so very well equipped. Well decorated. Good parking and en suite bathrooms x 2. The bed and sofa were not the most comfortable, but they is the only negative points.
We loved this apartment the first time we stayed and loved it just as much this time. All the little personal touches make it special. Keep recommendng it to others, but to be honest they have found it a bit pricey, and looked elsewhere. One small annoyance was that we were phoned to make us aware that an outside lamp had been broken and would be fixed the following day, None of the outside lights worked at all for the rest of the week.
Very quiet property despite being almost in the middle of the village. Everything as stated and pictured in the description. Welcome pack a lovely addition. Seahouses is a friendly place with choices of places to eat and drink and shops to browse, plenty of seats to occupy as you watch the busy harbour. Easy access to the local area, beaches and castles plus the National Park.
we had great family trip away and left very happy as great spacious house all ensuite bathrooms and close to seahouses front. Once left we were given multiple problems the cleaners had found, ie stains on duvets which must have been there before as white sheets and we did not see these stains on stain covers and then marks on white towels and bath mat, which sent photos without attempting to wash them. Also accusing us of pinching a bath mat. And we had moved the small snooker table into house from garage and forgot to put back. They then tried to charge us £150 from security deposit!!!!! Just a slight niggle:- We could not arrive until late Saturday but there was no price reduction even though it was mid November and then when we went into the apartment it was very cold as there was no heating on. Certainly not a warm welcome and then we found the fridge had been switched off and was swimming in water. Otherwise we loved the place and had a great holiday
The cottage provided everything we required and was a pleasure to come back to after a day out.Loved the sound of the waves coming into the harbour when bedroom window open at night.
We have stayed in quite a few cottages over the years with different companies, this was our first visit to Northumberland. Great value for money. Couldn't find anything at all to complain about. The cottage met our every need. Ideal for the dogs too. Would rate as a 10/10.
3 The Villas is a large, comfortable, very well equipped family holiday home. The kitchen is very well provided with enough crockery and appliances etc to meet every need. For a family stay fridge and freezer space is very generous. Two sitting rooms, with TVs and sound systems means everyone can indulge their own taste. Not that we spent any time watching tv. The property's fabulous location a short walk from Embleton Bay, the dunes, golf, Dunstanburgh Castle etc. etc. provide more than adequate entertainment. This is one of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed in.
We hired the entire property for the week, including the whole of Spindleford Mill and the Millkeeper's Cottage. It was wonderful! The whole property is beautiful! As each visitor arrived I loved showing them around and seeing their reactions to this excellent find. The Mill is on 4 floors, with each floor being a self-contained flat. Every flat is well-kitted out and absolutely gorgeous. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the layout of the flats to make them convenient and a pleasure to be in. The personal touches were really welcoming: milk in the fridges, tea, coffee and sugar, bread ...more
My family and I had a wonderful weeks break at the cottage. It really is home from home Thankyou We thought they ought to recycle more but would recommend to others and would love to stay again.
Thoroughly enjoyable week's stay in the Garden Room. Very well presented and comfortable property with leaflets & books about local area. Great outdoor space to property with plenty of seating areas, would love to visit in the summer. Ideal location for exploring the Northumberland coast and dales as well as visiting Tyne & Wear; rural yet everything on your doorstep including choice of two pubs serving food within easy walking distance and supermarket 5 mins drive away. Shower room a little cramped but more than adequate and additional handbasin in bedroom great. Useful combination microwave...more
Excellent location 50 yards away from a wonderful view. Comfortable cottage everything what you need .
Fully equipped cosy cottage close to all amenities and the beach. Everything you need for a long weekend or longer and a welcoming bottle of prosecco left in the fridge! We'll be back. Dawn and Martin
It was our second visit with another family and we had another marvellous stay. I can't fault it at all and how to return again.
What a beautiful home; our family were blown away by every aspect of this charming, warm property - a lovely week in a part of the world that is very special to us. Literally no complaints ... we're hoping to visit again next year and will hopefully make it a regular thing. A great place to make memories.
Lynsford is ideally suitable for 2 persons. The layout within is excellent, warm and comfortable. Also the location of the bungalow is ideal for seeing the beautiful coast line.
This is a very comfortable house situated in an ideal location. It's as close to the beach as you can get and within a short walk of the village centre. We were extremely comfortable during the week we spent here. Every body including the dogs were well looked after in this superbly equipped cottage. We had a wonderful week.
The property was alright the only down side was that the fire alarms would be set off by the steam from the bathroom.
Extremely comfortably house with everything you could wish for, it was the highlight of the holiday. Beautiful location with great views. we found the information provided about the area very helpful especially which pub would accept dogs. we have booked for next year
Burn Bank Cottage is an ideal place to stay as it is close but not too close to the Northumberland coastline and everything that has to offer the visitor. Local amenities are excellent with a nearby supermarket and a choice of good eating places and pubs.
We really enjoyed our stay (party of four adults and two children). The Hollies is in a great location in the centre of Bamburgh, which is a great base from which to explore Northumberland. We felt at home as soon as we arrived and it had everything we needed, including body boards and buckets and spades for the kids (the beach at Bamburgh, with its fantastic sand dunes, is second to none). We loved staying at The Hollies and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
As I said above we enjoyed our stay and will possibly stay in the area next year as long as am alive and well
Clean, modern and well equipped property 5 minutes walk from fantastic beach and rock pools. Our party comprised children aged 2 to 12 and there was an amazing range of games, toys, sports and beach equipment to keep all fully occupied. Evidence of dog hairs on living room carpet where our toddler was crawling...would suggest a pet vacuum cleaner is needed. Internet reception is poor so leave iPad at home! All in all a great property for large family with children and would certainly recommend.
We loved being so close to the Northumberland coast and walking on loads of beaches, seeing seals and dolphins. The cottage is convenient for shops and restaurants. The town of Amble isn't that picturesque but it's a great coastal location. Lovely to have a woodburner.
The cottage was lovely, great condition and cosy. Brilliant location so close to town and the sea. Really quiet and peaceful courtyard. Nice welcome pack and we'll equipped. Only gripe is lack of mobile signal which can't be helped. Would stay here again.
We have stayed at Sunnieside twice now and will do so again in the future. The property has everything you could need for a holiday away from home and is an excellent location. We particularly like the enclosed area at the back for our dogs, just open the door and they can go out safely - nothing worse than having to get dressed in the middle of the night if they need to go out, with them on a lead ! The bed is very comfy. The lovely welcome pack of milk tea coffee etc PLUS the doggie treats are a real bonus. The WiFi was a nice surprise as it wasn't in last time we came. We didnt fiddl...more
We booked three generations in on a friend's recommendation to help us celebrate some big birthdays! It was a great find. It's a deceptively big cottage with five good sized bedrooms as well as large communal areas. It was really well equipped and we found everything we needed (and more!) Beadnell is a lovely village with some great pubs, a nice playground and a shop. The cottage is in a fantastic location-literally a stones throw from a gorgeous sandy beach and a minute's walk to rockpooling. We had a fabulous time!
Fantastic cottage which is beautifully presented and furnished and we couldn't have asked for more for our needs (1 toddler plus 2 dogs). Great location in the historic part of the village next to one of the pubs and local café and only minutes from a fabulous beach. Happy to recommend this property and will be back ourselves.
This was our 5th stay at Seaton. And again it did not disappoint. It is a lovely house. Clean and comfortable and well equipped for couples or a family. They even leave doggy welcome packs and dog towels! It has a very large garden with summerhouse and the little patio is a lovely sun trap for alfresco dining. It is in an ideal position, the view from the front window is across to the Farne Islands, across the road and you are on the most fantastic beach, about 10 minutes walk into Seahouses and you can get all you really need food wise plus gifts etc. Possibly 10 minutes by car in the other ...more
We had a lovely stay - clean cottage with great facilities - everything we needed for a family holiday.
An excellent place to stay, albeit a little expensive, but otherwise perfect. Everything was in working order, comfortable beds [the right length - we are both tall], in the right place and we could be back soon. We would certainly recommend it to our 4 children and their families and everyone else. Many thanks - it was great!
Great location in the village and a very quiet spot. This is a really spacious flat and very good facilities- Super spot for a family holiday. The renovations have been really well done and the bedrooms have really sweet window seats with views of the castle. It might be worth mentioning that there are quite a lot of stairs but that really wasn't a problem for us !
Great location. 5 mins walk to the pub and shops but tucked away. Everything we needed and warm as toast. We ate in quite a bit and the kitchen was well equipped. Will be back. When we had packed the car and shouted at the dog to get in , he ran back into the house and refused to move!
What a brilliant view from the main bedroom! Great base for beach walks and to visit the Farne Islands. Restaurants and Pubs very Dog Friendly. Only downside was that there was a blockage of the main sewer pipe. Although this was cleared immediately by the owners, they were not particularly approachable.
Lovely house perfect for a family get together for my father's 80th birthday, however property stated on your website that it was dog friendly. It did not state until after booking that the dog had to stay in the kitchen and small tv lounge area. This meant that the family were split between 2 rooms as we did not want to leave the dog on her own as she is used ro company. another big disappointment was the hot tub was not working and looked as if It hadn't been working for a while. This was the selling point of this property for us as well as being dog friendly. Seemed a shame to come to su...more
This is a lovely house. Plenty of room for 6 adults a toddler and 3 dogs without feeling cramped. We particularly enjoyed the use of the pool table and the conservatory. Well situated for Bamburgh and Holy Island etc. Plenty of things to do in the surrounding area. A lovely family holiday.
A nice cosy cottage in a good location for trips around the Northumberland either by car or on foot. Could perhaps do with a bit of a spring clean, although generally clean and tidy with good facilities (although washing machine wasn't working whilst we were there). Excellent views of fields, golf course and sea, there's always something to watch and the chairs by the windows were well used. Lighting was also a little dark if you wanted to read or anything in the sitting area on an evening, although fine for watching tv etc. Great location for walks along the coast to High/Low Newton and Cra...more
A lovely cottage with excellent views. Wifi would have made our stay better especially on the wet days to keep the kids happy but apart from that no complaints.
A great place for a family holiday. Lots of space, both in and out of the property! Made full use of the fields and the artificial grass area. Great location for the A1, Bamburgh and Seahouses. All rooms a good size and with all have en-suite is an added bonus!! The only issue during the week was the internet access, which was very poor!
Great location however the house needed some TLC regrading interior and could have done with a deeper clean especially given the cost of the house for October half term. Under sofas and behind furniture was thick with dust, hair etc. Being so close to the beach was a huge advantage with small children. The garden is very small so not of a size for children to play in.
With a little attention to detail and a general update and repair it would be an amazing cottage. That said, we had a great holiday.
