This was my second stay at Wamsas with my dog, we loved it so much last year we had to stay again. I love the studio, and the location and that view! Seahouses is the perfect base to explore beautiful Northumberland! Thank you!
What a fantastic holiday home in a wonderful location. The house is beautiful with everything you need. Nothing has been missed. The children loved all the games etc and the garden was brilliant. Thank you!
A stunning barn conversion in a stunning location. Everything was perfect and Caroline was both really pleasant and very helpful. We will definitely re-visit.
Our stay as a family of 4,at the Hemmel was fantastic. Not 1 complaint, everything was catered for and the house was spotless with the quality of interior being really very good. Super location beach is 2 mins in the car and easy to walk to. Seahouses is 5 mins in the car and has everything needed without being too tacky. We would. Not hesitate to recommend this holiday cottage to family and friends we have done just that already. Stay Northumbria were a really good booking company too very professional and knowledgeable. Brilliant all round. Thank you.
Perfect place to spend the week. Very clean, comfortable and spacious. Location is stunning and peaceful. Would highly recommend. Very much hoping to return.
The Causeway Barn is a well planned and equipped holiday home with many thoughtful touches from the owner (easter eggs!). I'd certainly consider bookign again.
I couldn't fault Clam Shell Cottage. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. A home from home with every gadget you'd need. The garden and facilities for children are particularly good. Pat and Geoff are perfect hosts. Would definitely recommend for a perfect holiday.
Really enjoyed our short stay at Powder House, Pat and Geoff; the owners were very welcoming, the house was perfect in terms of location and cleanliness. Couldn't ask for anything more. Would definitely come back again.
Loved the cottage and the surrounding countryside No hesitation in recommending as we received such a warm welcome
Everything was perfect from start to finish! Sparkling clean, stylish and a perfect home from home. Highly recommended! Julie's cake was a perfect welcome and Julie was a perfect host. Thank you so much! We enjoyed every second of our holiday.
Five star accomodation with excellent facilities. Loads of room just home from home. Highly recommended.
We loved the cottage! Lovely spacious kitchen and great rooms and bathrooms! The owner had baked a cake for our arrival and gave us a tour of the farm during lambing time. Priceless! The location is great and it’s only a short way to the coast and Bamburgh as it is to Alnwick and other major attractions. We will be back, even if the weather wasn’t great! Thank you for a lovely stay!
We had a great week. The accommodation was perfect for us all...six adults two toddlers and a crawling baby. It was very comfortable, spacious and everything good quality. The children loved having horses and sheep at the bottom of the garden. The views were amazing. We will definately return
An excellent house within a beautiful location, great facilities for all our family. We had a fantastic holiday.
We stayed here last year and thoroughly enjoyed it, so we booked again. We were surprised to see that the apartment had been refurbished very tastefully and it looked great! We were very kindly received with a home-made cake, tea, coffee etc. Just like last year, we had a lovely few days. Thank you very much!
We loved our stay at the cottage, it was bliss to sit and enjoy our coffee in the morning in the sunshine with the glorious view and our daily walks on the beach sad to leave .
Our stay at 3 Dunes Court was unfortunately our last, as we have more than one dog. We send our best wishes to the staff who sorted out our holiday, and to the owner's for allowing us to stay there.
Lovely house in brilliant location. Easy to book and pay for. Local shops and restaurants within very short walking distance and plenty of things to do in the area. Very pleased with the whole experience.
The quality of this apartment was simply outstanding. As the name suggests it is a top floor apartment and I remember it as being a hotel in a former incarnation. The standard of the conversion is excellent. The kitchen is spacious and very well fitted out with a comprehensive range of equipment, crockery and cutlery. On the same floor the first dining area will comfortably accommodate 8. The lounge area is spacious with a good TV and entertainment system. There is a second dining area on a mezzanine landing above which opens out onto a large balcony with views of the Cheviots and the se...more
Most enjoyable relaxing few days - Elizabeth is very informative and the bread and cake very much appreciated
Homildon Cottage is in a beautiful location and is extremely well equipped. The cottage is quietly situated next to the gate leading onto the Cheviot hills where there are miles of footpaths to follow. The welcome packs for ourselves and our dogs were much appreciated. There is plenty to do in the area and the coast at Bamburgh is an easy drive. We hope to return !
Spotlessly clean, homely and a bit quirky. Everything we needed and more - perfect location! Owner very attentive. Hope to return.
This is the best self catering accommodation we've stayed in. Clean and well equipped and in the perfect place to explore the area.
Carrtshed was a very comfortable/clean and well stocked holiday stay. The area was quiet yet easily accessible to all the main local places of interest - would recommend and would certainly consider staying in the future
The cottage was perfectly located within yards of the harbour at Craster, which is a lovely place just to sit and take in the views. The cottage is very well furnished with separate lounge and dining room. The garden is separate from the cottage just 30 yards or so back down the lane next to the allocated car parking spaces. From the cottage you can walk to Dunstanburgh Castle and beyond to the lovely beach near Embleton. The location is excellent for touring Nortumbria and we went as far north as Berwick and down to Morpeth. Highly recommended.
We have just returned from a lovely holiday at Seahouses, Aloha cottage has everything you need, it is extremely clean and spacious, plus it is dog friendly which is a must for us, lovely enclosed garden, we had a wonderful time away, thank you for our yummy cake etc, would highly recommend staynorthumbria.co.uk so helpful, if ever we had to call them, Seahouses is very friendly, beautiful beaches, and most shops etc are also dog friendly, huge bonus for us!
We stayed for a full week in The Old Post Office Cottage at Powburn and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We had never stayed in (or heard of!) the village before going there this summer but would have no qualms about returning. It is a great base to explore both the coastal and inland areas of Northumberland. The welcome package that the owners left for us included a personal message on a box of farm eggs for our young 2 1/2 year old daughter which was a great touch. There was a smell of damp/mustiness in the entrance vestibule and the cupboard where the immersion heater is situated b...more
My sister booked the Garden Room for a weekend break for me and my wife plus our dog Izzy, to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The afternoon tea and prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch and the owners could not have been more welcoming in person the following day. We absolutely loved the peace and quiet of the location alongside its nearness to the coast and city. The Garden Room itself was beautiful and the great weather meant that we could make full use of the outdoor facilities there. We didn't want to return home and plan to go back as so...more
We had a great 2 week stay at Topcliffe, The house is in a great location with wonderful views of the North Sea. A short walk to shop, beach and the Craster Arms. A 2 minute drive to Seahouses for shopping or a day out. The weather was very kind to us,a glorious 2 weeks of sunshine we even went swimming in the sea at Beadnell Bay.
Lovely apartment fantastic location close to all amenities. Kitchen and bathroom's were well equipped settee in the lounge is well past it's sell by date totally uncomfortable. TV in bedroom had very limited channels.
There were 10 of us spending the weekend in this lovely place. The vale view is a large comfortable well equipped place to stay . The owner was very helpful and friendly and the locals in the Queens Head were welcoming . It's a lovely place to stay
Clean, spacious and bright apartment. Plenty room for the entire family. Parking not an issue. Well placed for local cafe and hotel for food.
We have stayed at Fisherman's Cottage twice, now and I suspect we will be back again. The cottage is homely and well maintained. It is in a spectacular location with inspiring views.
If I could award this house 6 stars I would. Everything from the position to the comfort, amenities, decor was wonderful. We had a large family party and everyone thought the same. The bedrooms were large and beds comfortable. Very sad to leave but have all said we will definitely come back.
A marvellous holiday in an extremely well equipped, spacious & comfortable house. The children had a great time & especially enjoyed the chess set & hot tub The location was just right, an easy walk into Seahouses where it can be impossible to park at busy holiday times. It is within easy distance to Holy Island & the many castles which Northumberland is noted for. Also, a Farne Island visit to the Farnes is a must(Billy Sheil the best) We enjoyed every minute. Finally the staff were very helpful - Thank You
Stayed at Coble cottage with my husband, four children and mother in law who is a wheelchair user. It was a lovely house which was our base for a week..Very comfortable.. lots of room and amienties. The only tiny less than positive comment I can make is with regard to the washer/dryer. I couldn't find a dryer only option in the instruction manual. It appeared to me and my husband too, that dryer was only available for use if selected as part of the washing cycle and this cycle appeared to take 4 hours and 25 minutes in total which seems excessive to me. I'd suggest if dryer only option is avai...more
A well appointed, comfortable property in a quiet but very convenient location. The welcome pack was appreciated and the method of accessing the property worked very well. The folder about the property and information on the locality were very useful. We had a lovely week. Thank you
Excellent enjoyed by all! Oldest visitor being my Mother 94 with mobility problems, cottage was excellent for moving about with her rollator. Location very good for walking into the hub of Seahouses enjoyed the local restaurants and only a short five minute walk down to the harbour. The only minor downside was having one bathroom/toilet. Everything you need is at Godetia Cottage, splendid holiday.
Lovely short break at the Shoreline apartment & perfect for the 2 of us. Great food & discounts at the pub & cafe. Just a shame not enough matches & kindling provided to get the fire going.
Great accommodation for 8 adults (could be 10) and 1 dog. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of room for cooking and eating. Very near the coast and the A1 so easy access for sightseeing. Only problem with showers, not easy to keep at the right temperature.
I booked the accommodation for my son and his family, and it was much appreciated by them on their first visit to Northumberland. The only downsides to their stay were: - neither the front or back lawns had been mowed prior to their arrival and unfortunately a dog had used the front lawn as a toilet (not appreciated when they had two young children with them)! This was reported to Stay Northumbria and, to their credit, was rectified very quickly. Overall, however, an excellent venue for a family stay.
1st time in no6, 4th time at cliff house cottages.Never had reason to complain about anything cottages have always been spotless when we've turned up.Lovely area with plenty of places to visit and things to do.
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful location, it was a part of the U.K we hadn't visited before and it didn't disappoint. The cottage was extremely well equipped, and contained everything we needed, and more besides. What would've made it perfect? Very little. The pillows on all the beds really need replacing as , although they were clean, they were well last their best, a small step in the kitchen would be useful (as I'm only 5' 3" the top shelf of the very tall fridge was a complete mystery to me as it was impossible to reach, as was the bathroom cabinet in the en-suite, though the door ...more
A lovely wee bolthole, perfect for us and 5 year old son over a week. Ideally located in lovely Alnmouth with everything you need nearby.
We stayed at The Vicarage in Beadnell. It was a comfortable traditional house and perfect for a family get together over Christmas. There was plenty of room with 2 lounges, games room and spacious bedrooms. The kitchen with the Aga was cosy and very well equipped. The formal dining room was perfect for Christmas lunch (though the candle ban was a little disappointing but understandable). The location was superb with a short walk to a pub, cafe and shop as well as the spectacular beach. We had a wonderful holiday and I would be happy to return again. Stay Northumberland were particular...more
It was our second visit with another family and we had another marvellous stay. I can't fault it at all and how to return again.
A fantastic property in a stunning setting. We loved the cottage and the village and are looking forward to coming back in the future.
As 3 friends who wanted to stay at seahouses to scuba dive. we needed to find specific accommodation- Hastings Dairy had everything we needed. 3 lovely spacious bedrooms and plenty of outdoor space to dry our kit, all topped off with stacks of hot water for either a bath or shower. The position on the outskirts of Seahouses was perfect for peace and quiet but not too far to walk into town for all you need. Hope to book again
Lynsford is ideally suitable for 2 persons. The layout within is excellent, warm and comfortable. Also the location of the bungalow is ideal for seeing the beautiful coast line.
Our second visit to Burn Bank cottage; the first five years ago. A really beautiful and peaceful location amongst stunning countryside with lovely views, wildlife, some inquisitive cattle in the field next to the back garden and during sunny weather, amazing skies and sun sets. Very comfortable and well equipped inside and the large conservatory is perfect to sit and eat and relax whilst taking in the wonderful scenery. Walks on the doorstep to keep a happy holiday dog even happier. Also a perfect base for visiting many nearby beaches and inumerable local sights.l
The cottage is a great base for exploring the local area It is well equipped and comfortable in a quiet location The village is nice with good food available at the black bull
Lovely cottage in a good location.Everything we needed there. It was lovely and quiet and having the little garden was a bonus.Close to the beach and short walk to the local pub.Would love to return soon.
We really enjoyed our stay (party of four adults and two children). The Hollies is in a great location in the centre of Bamburgh, which is a great base from which to explore Northumberland. We felt at home as soon as we arrived and it had everything we needed, including body boards and buckets and spades for the kids (the beach at Bamburgh, with its fantastic sand dunes, is second to none). We loved staying at The Hollies and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Our party consisted of ourselves (two seventy year olds) plus our 3 children and their partners so the amount of space available at Holmeside was very much appreciated. We had two small dogs with us so the enclosed, spacious garden was excellent for them and was a great place to sit and eat out as the weather was really hot. The house is in a small estate but was very quiet (apart from when the bin was emptied at 3.45am on our last night!) and Beadnell is one of our favourite places to stay on this coast. It has a great beach and the walking in the area is good. It is also very convenient ...more
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the house to be very clean and comfortable and in an excellent location.
Clean and well equipped, this cottage is convenient to shops and public transport. We enjoy ed d our stay.
We loved being so close to the Northumberland coast and walking on loads of beaches, seeing seals and dolphins. The cottage is convenient for shops and restaurants. The town of Amble isn't that picturesque but it's a great coastal location. Lovely to have a woodburner.
A lovely stay in a tastefully renovated farmhouse on Holy Island. The rooms are spacious enough to accommodate daughters, spouses and grandchildren, with good walking access to Sandham beaches or the village. Enjoyed by all .
Very central and loved being near to the beach, especially for walks and beachcombing in the evening.
We had the most amazing time at Seaton! The location is perfect... waking up each morning looking at the sea with the Farne Islands in the distance is really amazing as is watching the sunset over Banburgh Castle from the lounge! When we arrived at Seaton there were whoops of delight from the children when they saw the beautiful garden with so much space and swings rope ladder to climb! Inside the house is beautiful with everything you could think of provided! Harry the dog enjoyed his goodie bag ...thank you! Every part of the house exceptionally clean and very comfortable with a lovely ...more
We stayed at the cottage for a week and enjoyed our stay very much. Although the cottage was cosy/small it wasn’t an issue for us at all and had everything we needed. It was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and the area where the cottage is was very quiet. There was building work taking place nearby, but this didn’t cause us any issues at all. The cottage is a short walk from the harbour and the centre of Seahouses, with some lovely walks close by. The walk from Craster to Seahouses is lovely especially if the tides allow you to walk all the way on beach. W...more
We a had a fab week in Seahouses. The weather was super and we found some great walks and fabulous beaches.
Fantastic cottage which is beautifully presented and furnished and we couldn't have asked for more for our needs (1 toddler plus 2 dogs). Great location in the historic part of the village next to one of the pubs and local café and only minutes from a fabulous beach. Happy to recommend this property and will be back ourselves.
This is our 4th visit to Pebbles and we always enjoy it. The accommodation is,in the main, great. One or two tweaks could make it excellent. These are small issues and won’t deter us from coming back as we love Pebbles and Seahouses. Until next time!
We all had a pleasant stay at Cheviot cottage, and was nice to have a bit of snow in such a tranquil and remote area. The cottage was well provided for and comfy and the four of us plus dog had plenty of room. There really is no phone signal or Wifi here so it was nice being able to go dark. On the down side the cottage lacked any up to date information about places to eat or visit. We couldn't find the visitors book either. Also the garden had several dog do's from previous users that hadn't been tidied up. Other than that I would stay there again.
Great location in the village and a very quiet spot. This is a really spacious flat and very good facilities- Super spot for a family holiday. The renovations have been really well done and the bedrooms have really sweet window seats with views of the castle. It might be worth mentioning that there are quite a lot of stairs but that really wasn't a problem for us !
A great little cottage in a super location right on the harbour. Clean, well equipped and well presented; the only things that are worth mentioning are that the stairs are very steep so not ideal for any with reduced mobility, the utility could do with a few more (robust) coat hooks and the kitchen is rather small (only one person at a time really) so don't go planning on cooking any gourmet masterpieces. That said, the kitchen has everything that you need and there is the bonus of a dishwasher and a washing machine. On demand, unlimited hot water was great too. Worked really well for our ...more
This is a lovely house. Plenty of room for 6 adults a toddler and 3 dogs without feeling cramped. We particularly enjoyed the use of the pool table and the conservatory. Well situated for Bamburgh and Holy Island etc. Plenty of things to do in the surrounding area. A lovely family holiday.
A nice cosy cottage in a good location for trips around the Northumberland either by car or on foot. Could perhaps do with a bit of a spring clean, although generally clean and tidy with good facilities (although washing machine wasn't working whilst we were there). Excellent views of fields, golf course and sea, there's always something to watch and the chairs by the windows were well used. Lighting was also a little dark if you wanted to read or anything in the sitting area on an evening, although fine for watching tv etc. Great location for walks along the coast to High/Low Newton and Cra...more
Cottage was comfortable with stunning views from the lounge. Fantastic location, beautiful beach at Embleton.
Plus- very big, lots outdoor space, near to beaches. Comfy beds/good furniture Cons- no internet in annexe, advertised as having internet no cooking dishes (previous reviewer mentions this but nothing done about it poor lighting to annexe at night, again mentioned in previous review Aga, dangerous to small children Gate not working, would have been nice to close when out or at night. We had a great week despite the weather and the niggles in the house
Great location however the house needed some TLC regrading interior and could have done with a deeper clean especially given the cost of the house for October half term. Under sofas and behind furniture was thick with dust, hair etc. Being so close to the beach was a huge advantage with small children. The garden is very small so not of a size for children to play in.
With a little attention to detail and a general update and repair it would be an amazing cottage. That said, we had a great holiday.
