A contemporary 3-bedroom villa in a great location with excellent views - own pool plus plunge/childrens' pool. The centre of Kalkan town lies a 10-15 minute walk away.

We have stayed in Kalkan 7 times so know the town and villas well. Villa Yhavi is only a 15 minutes walk from the main shops and in a relatively peaceful area of the town.

It’s a well set out villa with the basic equipment in the kitchen. The TV is connected to the WiFi so you can login to You Tube, Netflix, Prime etc. The bedrooms and en-suites are well appointed and in good order. Towels were in good condition and the weekly inside cleaning was reasonable.

The outside maintenance during our stay was very disappointing; whilst the pool cleaner attended every day, he rarely washed and swept the pool area and only one in twice in three weeks made a concerted effort to clean the pool. We ended up cleaning the floor and pool ourselves which wasn’t a problem but should have been undertaken by the pool cleaner.

There are four very friendly stray local dogs who often sleep in the outside area during the day. They were absolutely no problem and just wanted the shade and some company! We left them daily water which they very much appreciated! We did not feed them but they all seemed well fed and healthy.

Kalkan villas are becoming expensive, and Villa Yhavi is competitively priced. If they improved the pool cleaning and you were happy to be around dogs, I would absolutely recommend the villa!

Its a lovely villa, and just the right distance from the town so it is lovely and quiet.

What we liked!
- A fair price; Villas in Kalkan are becoming very expensive!
- Clean and tidy. Well furnished villa.
- Nice outside space
- Lounge recently refurbished and looks great!

Even better if....
- Welcome pack was a little sparse
- No pool towels
- Wifi was intermittent when only used for simple wifi access
- BBQ looks great but needs holes drilling underneath to allow air to circulate. It goes out very easily!

The villa was just ideal in terms of space. The outside area is great with lots of seating options by the pool. Bedrooms and bathrooms were nice with lovely balconies although we didn't use them. Kitchen is reasonably equipped with a nice welcome pack provided on arrival.
The view is lovely but the down side is the hill in between you and the town although it's good to get some exercise!
We would stay here again.

Villa Yahvi was nice with beautiful views and pool. However, it was at the top just off the D400, which was fine walking down to town but not up. Also, at no fault of Olive Tree, there were roadworks going on right outside our gate with a great bit trench which we had to step over, gravel everywhere and by the 4th day the trench was even bigger and we had to ask the workmen to provide some sort of platform to walk across. All this work caused lots of dust and noise. We felt sorry for the next people going in!

Thanks for taking the time to review Villa Yahvi. We are very sorry that your stay was affected by the local authority works - we have established that the works are to lay new electricity cables with a view to improving the local supply (Kalkan has suffered from frequent power cuts recently due to the current infrastructure struggling to cope with the increased demand). Unfortunately, no prior notice was given for this and as it's work undertaken by the local authority, nothing can be done to stop it. Admittedly, it would have been helpful if this work could have been carried out during the winter before the tourist season started, but it would appear that the machinery required for it was being used by private contractors building villas at that time, as they had to finish their work by mid-May in line with local authority rules relating to private construction! We understand that these works will not last much longer (and at the time of writing, will probably have moved on beyond Villa Yahvi), but once again, we are very sorry that you were inconvenienced by it. With regard to the walk to town, like most locations throughout Kalkan, the walk to town is downhill all the way, but uphill on the way back as Kalkan is very hilly by nature. A taxi back to Villa Yahvi from the town centre is probably recommended and costs around £1.50 at today's exchange rate (there's a taxi rank in the town centre from which it's very easy to get a ride home). We sincerely hope that you managed to enjoy some aspects of your stay despite the above issues.
