A new, beautifully-presented 3 bedroom villa in the lower Kiziltas area of Kalkan, with great views, own pool and table tennis - the centre of Kalkan town lies just a 10 minute walk away.

Beautiful Kalkan Villa stay.

We have just returned from a weeks stay in Kalkan, in the beautiful Villa Sunshine. I don't write a lot of reviews but we loved our stay so much I felt I should give our thoughts for anyone planning to stay there in the future. I did a lot of research before booking Villa Sunshine as we prefer not to hire a car on holiday and we wanted to stay somewhere that would be a short walk into town. It took us around 10 mins to walk into town ( I did actually time it!!) but as it was quite hilly we tended to get a taxi back to the villa which only cost the equivalent of £2-3 per time which is very cheap. Taxis were widely available and we were given a private number for a lovely guy called Yusef by Zal the Olive Tree Travel rep, who we could just text and he would pick us up. The decor in the villa was beautiful. Very well thought out and lots of seating areas in the shade for when the sun became too hot! As it turned out I don't think we even used all of the terraces available as we mostly stayed by the pool. We ate out every night so we didn't really use the kitchen much but there was everything you needed if you did want to stay in and cook. Some of the restaurants even offered home delivery if you wanted that option. All of the bedrooms had air conditioning which was a godsend, although the very top bedroom did get very hot so we tended to sleep with the door open which was fine as the terrace was very safe and totally enclosed. The villa was very clean and tidy when we arrived and there was a welcome pack with some fruit, bread, crisps, juice and wine which was very welcome. A few tea bags and some milk would have been a welcome addition but maybe that's us Brits wanting tea at all opportunities! The restaurants were lovely. Over 200 of them in this small town. So there is definitely something for everyone. The overwhelming feeling was one of friendliness and we would definitely go back another year. So if you want a lovely spacious villa close to town Villa Sunshine is definitely one to consider.
