The Shore in Alnmouth is a gorgeous stone built property in the heart of Alnmouth Village. With 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 spacious lounge areas with log-burning stoves, and a spacious kitchen/diner leading to a wonderfully light garden room, The Shore is the perfect coastal getaway. Great location in the centre of Alnmouth, very clean, well decorated and furnished. Plenty of space. Good information and guidance. Lots of choices for food and drink, and a lovely clean beach 10 mins walk away.

However, please note that the cottage is next to an Ex-Servicemen’s Club. This wasn’t an issue much of the time, but it was quite noisy until midnight on the Saturday night of our stay.

We are aware that the property is close to the Ex-Servicemen's Club and we believe there may have been an event on the Saturday in question, as we have received no mention of noise at the property before, so thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will monitor closely. "The Shore" was fantastic for us.
The decor throughout appealed to us throughout and we found the general spaciousness calming.
Alnmouth is a great village and the location of "The Shore" within it is very convenient. Despite being on the main street it's quiet. This is helped by the wonderful kitchen/garden room being at the back - we spent most of our daytime time there - except when the sun really shone and the terrace beckoned.
During our stay we made a conscious effort to use public transport using the bus to get to Alnwick and Warkworth. Alnmouth station is walkable and for almost all of the route that lies on busier roads there is a footpath that is separate from the road - behind a hedge and/or fence. So for a day trip to Berwick we headed off to the station and caught the train. We had a lovely day out there.

The Shore is a stunning property situated in the village of Alnmouth. We stayed for a week with family and our spaniel. Everything we could possibly need had been thought of and it was the perfect base for exploring the local towns. A 5 minute walk to the golf course, beach and England Coastal Path. Had some delicious food in the Sun hotel, a few doors down from the Shore. It was just perfect!

We chose to really enjoy Alnmouth instead of driving here, there and everywhere like we usually do and it was bliss. Having such a beautiful place to stay made it easy to stay local. We would highly recommend The Shore. Absolutely nothing negative to say. Beautiful interior.

Our stay was enjoyable. We liked the patio area and garden although steps to garden were difficult to negotiate and a
Member of our party did take a fall. The tv in the back lounge didn’t work. We found the bed in the master bedroom extremely uncomfortable and had to move to the front twin bedded room which was more comfortable.

The sunroom proved very popular and most of our time was spent there.

We do have an accessibility guide for each property, and we encourage guests with specific requirements to let us know in advance so we can provide tailored advice. I apologise for the inconvenience caused by the non-functioning TV and the discomfort of the master bedroom bed. Had you reported the TV to us during your stay we would have contacted the owner so he could have arranged to get this fixed for you. We had a fantastic stay at The Shore! From the second we arrived we loved the house and felt at home immediately.
There was a wonderful hamper waiting for us and also for our dog too .
The quality generally was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay there. We would book again for sure!

This is a lovely house, good location, quick walk to the shops and 10 minutes to the beach. Very well equipped, clean, comfortable, spacious for six people and it was lovely to have so much living space - the kitchen/conservatory area worked really well for us and the two sitting rooms were great.

Stayed at the shore for a weekend break away
Location of property excellent could not have been better within the heart of Alnmouth and just a short walk from beach ,
House beautiful, modern but with a lot of original features and everything we needed was provided including a beautiful hamper on arrival.
The rooms were very spacious and decorated to a high standard throughout . The kitchen / dinner was fabulous and with the extension on it provided us with sunshine the whole day we spent a lot of our time socialising within this over food. !A lovely space.
The family bathroom is spacious and decorated to a high standard ( love the colour of the tiles!)
The kitchen had everything we needed with appliances of a high standard .
Not only is this a beautiful property but also the location is excellent with it being within walking distance of the Main Street with restaurants etc and beach .
Would definitely book this property again . We had fabulous weekend staying there .

The Shore is a lovely house in a excellent location We have stayed in many houses in Alnmouth and this is one of the best
Lots of space for family members to do their own thing
My son had to work a couple of days and internet was fine
The small back garden is lovely space with some pretty plants and flowers
Entrance to car park is tight for big cars
Well stocked kitchens and bathrooms
Lovely welcome hamper and one for the dogs so near local shops bars and restaurants and most importantly the beach and golf course
