Lovely place to stay and perfect location. Quiet, comfortable and good standard. The weather was bad and we spent more time in the cottage which we would not normally do and enjoyed our holiday home from home.

Lovely cottage in excellent location for driving to all the great places in Northumberland. No opening window in the bedroom made ventilation difficult for us. There was only a door into the garden so it was all or nothing. Thank you for a very nice welcome pack which we appreciated.

We would highly recommend Curlew Cottage - it was absolutely perfect! In a lovely quiet place, the whole cottage is luxurious, well appointed and spotlessly clean.

Although it is a short way out of Bamburgh the location is very quiet and makes the outside space really relaxing.

Our stay could not have been any better- thank you!

Lovely accommodation with private parking. Garden was nice, large rooms with plenty of space. Welcome pack was appreciated. Cosy, comfortable and quiet.

We enjoyed staying here. Very clean, spacious, light and comfortable with everything we needed. The garden was appreciated as was the parking area which was private. Ideally situated being a short drive from Bamburgh.

We had a lovely time celebrating our 5 year anniversary here. This cottage is a perfect size for a couple on a weekend away and would be great for longer aswell. The location was completely ideal for the area (including beau Monde spa being a 5 minute drive!)
Super close to shops, restaurants, takeaways and many different beaches whilst also being tucked away and on a super quiet road. The kitchen was fully equipped and everything we need to cook a dinner one night. The electric fire added to the coziness of the living room. If the weather had been a bit nicer the garden would’ve been lovely to sit outside. Great size! Overall our experience was so lovely and we will definitely be back again!!

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in February and the cottage was perfect. It’s only marked a 4 on location as no sea view but easily accessible to Bamburgh, Seahouses etc.. The cottage is tastefully decorated and well equipped with a very generous welcome hamper. Perfect for a quiet weekend.

The building and location were just excellent. A covered parking area. A very nice walled garden area (although the weather rather dampened our use of it!).
The seating appeared to be reasonable quality but was just too low for us older people - and bearing in mind this was a one bedroomed accommodation, I would have thought that it rather excluded families. The bed was also very low.
We felt that the fittings in the kitchen were adequate but not of the standard we would expect for the price paid, and the utensils and pans were as cheap as they could be.
Overall a lovely location and building let down by poorer fittings.

On arrival we found the cottage beautifully clean with lovely welcome gifts and toiletries. The enclosed courtyard was lovely: both spacious and private. The cottage was ideally placed within a 20minute walk into Bamburgh with its lovely shops, pubs and wonderful beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was a great base for exploring the Northumberland coastline.

Cottage was just perfect for 2 people, it had everything you could possibly need and the welcome hamper is a nice touch. The cottage is very well looked after, everything looked new and the furnishings were to a really high standard. The outside space was great, a good size, well kept and private.
The only thing we did find a bit tricky (but definitely not to take away from an amazing property) was the walk into Bamburgh, it’s only about a mile but there are no pavements and the road can be quite busy - just something to be aware of if like us you prefer leave the car and walk.

We had had a long and somewhat quiet winter after a serious fall and were looking for somewhere to stay that was quiet and well appointed. Curlew cottage was exactly what we needed. Prior to travelling the information we received and the PDF with all the information one could wish for was extremely helpful and the people that we spoke to were both friendly and helpful.
The situation, decor and private garden were a delight and we have told several family members of our pleasure when we arrived and saw our “home” for the week. There was absolutely nothing that we would have changed and the welcome basket and items in the fridge were very thoughtful. We found the area extremely interesting and full of history with the castles and the rampart walk at Berwick on Tweed. The miles of golden sand in such perfect condition were a delight. I’m sure that we will be back again at some point.
