Puffin view is an amazing holiday home. We loved it so much we've already booked for next year...our 3rd year there. The owners are extremely helpful and the house is well catered for children's needs. A wonderful family he both inside and out.
We had a lovely time at Rosemary Cottage. Our first visit to Northumberland and we will definitely be back soon. The cottage is lovely in a beautiful location, nestled in a small hamlet surrounded by fields and a short drive to the beach at Bamburgh. It was wet and windy during our stay but we found plenty to do and explore nearby. On the odd clear day we had views from the garden out to Holy Island and beyond.
As a family we really enjoyed our stay at Peony Cottage. Our children loved saying hello to the different animals in the field every morning and even got to feed them with the owners permission. The location was perfect for visiting near by Cragside National Trust and also for beach days out at Alnmouth.
A fabulous stay. The location is perfect for Amble and exploring Northumberland. The views from the balcony and hot tub are some of the best I’ve seen. The place itself is luxurious in design, comfort and has all the amenities you’d need in a stay. Split over two floors is also a benefit with putting children to bed early. Reception on the ground floor also means there is help on hand if needed. We hope to stay again.
Brada House chosen for its amenities, 2 good bathrooms and downstairs wc. Ideal since 5 of us. Sofas, dining chairs and beds all very comfortable providing a good nights rest after busy days. We had 2 small dogs with us and the safe garden was great whether outside to the front or in the sunny courtyard. Kitchen well equipped and equipment easy to operate. Quality towels and bed linen, also beach towels was a treat. Welcome hamper was really appreciated. We loved the location being so close to Bamburgh and spectacular beach as well as the other tourist attractions.
We loved our stay at this beautiful cottage. Everything you need is provided and the cottage is so lovely. Location is great too, so peaceful. Alan and Christine are lovely hosts, unobtrusive but if you need anything they are always so helpful. This was our fourth visit and we can’t wait to return next year.
Cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We loved it so much on our first visit two years ago that we came back. Ideally situated for exploring Alnwick and the surrounding area and a complete home from home to relax in. New owners very helpful, friendly and readily available if there's a problem. Highly recommend.
Cuthbert’s cottage is a lovely, comfortable place to stay. The house is so well equipped, spacious and well cared for. Good location, 10-15 min walk into Seahouses to nearest shops/harbour. Welcome hamper very generous. Good off road car parking. Our first visit here but one that’s top of the list to return to!
The Gin Gan was the perfect property to stay for our Northumberland holiday of 3 generations (all adult) plus our cockapoo The spacious property is tucked away on a quiet cut-de-sac about 1km from the centre of Seahouses, so a lovely 10-15min walk All 3 bedrooms are ensuite, there is a large kitchen dining area as you walk into the property with sofas and a tv (this is where we spent most of our time) plus then a separate lounge area with a door out to the small garden. The property was really clean and we were greeted with a lovely welcome hamper of local tea and coffee, cakes plus essen...more
Our second stay at this very comfortable and welcoming house . Such peaceful and relaxing surroundings and all you could want for a lovely holiday. The owners are so generous and always helpful.Everything is done with thought and care. We will return.
The Drift House is truly lovely. Beautifully furnished, calm and comfortable. One of the best equipped holiday homes we’ve stayed in. Communication with the owner was excellent and welcoming. We desperately needed this break after a tough couple of months and the location was perfect for this. A few minutes walk from a lovely beach and lots to do nearby.
First class immaculate accommodation. Ken and Andre the owners present a welcoming atmosphere and a welcome hamper second to none. There has obviously been a lot of thought about the needs of their guests as everything you can imagine is provided for. Highly recommend. Oyster Cottage is a brilliant base to tour the local area. You will not be disappointed.
Piggyback Cottage and our host Carla gave us a fantastic holiday. The property has been beautifully renovated, a cosy yet spacious home-from-home in a quiet location with views across to the castle and coast. The property lacked for nothing and was spotlessly clean. We have self catered in many cottages around the UK over the years, and Piggyback is our best yet. Warkworth is lesser known than some of its more recognised neighbours (Alnwick, Bamburgh etc) but we were so pleased to gave chosen it as our base. Peaceful and picturesque, and within easy reach of miles of amazing beaches and rol...more
This was our second visit to Highfield House. Immaculate inside, cleanliness second to none. A fab location, so quiet and peaceful. Everything you need is provided and all to a very high standard. Very comfy beds. It has such a homely feel and felt so lovely returning at the end of the day after visiting our favourite haunts in Northumberland. A most generous Hamper awaited us, and also one for our dog. I would highly recommend a stay at Highfield House.
Who would think a week in a piggery could be such bliss? Nightfold was a last-minute booking for us. We knew the farm but had never been in this unit before. It has the feel and freshness of a property new on the market this season. It is bright and airy and so well equipped. The welcome is warm, with ample goodies to ease you into your vacation. Our week saw a couple of wet and cooler days, but the under-floor heating quickly took the edge off any chill in the building. Its location is ideal for getting quickly around the area - and it's now within walking distance of a bright new M&S Food Ha...more
This was our first visit to Driftwood and we were absolutely delighted with our choice. As soon as we walked through the front door we felt totally comfortable and relaxed. The house was spotless from the front door to the top bedroom. Everything was beautifully cared for and comfortable. The 4 children were really happy with the games room especially having PS4 and Disney channel! The kitchen was very well equipped with every need. Sufficient crockery cutlery, more than enough glassware and high quality kitchen equipment meant a stress free stay. Bedrooms were presented with very good tast...more
5 stars all round. Situated on the first floor with stairs or a lift The Dukes is the best holiday apartment we have stayed in. Excellent facilities kitchen fully equipped with everything you made need - bathroom with excellent shower and fluffy white towels plus White Company toiletries. The lounge has comfortable seating and a dining table and chairs. Plenty of storage space eg coat hooks and clothes hangars. Everything exceptionally clean. A very generous welcome hamper is also provided. A private parking space is also very welcome. The owner Keith rang to ask if everything was ok and if we...more
This is our second visit to this cottage so I suppose it says it all .It is still presented in the best possible way clean bright and welcoming ,with two perfect hosts
Such a stunning cottage, tucked away in a beautiful tranquil area, but close enough to enjoy all the beautiful areas Northumberland has to offer. The cottage is spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished throughout with every luxury catered for. We found the cottage extremely comfortable and also enjoyed the beautiful peaceful surroundings. Thank you to Christine and Alan for being such fantastic hosts and for the superb welcome pack. Not forgetting the welcoming party of the friendly chickens! If we could give this cottage more than 5 stars we would. A very memorable trip made perfe...more
Just had a 3 night stay at The Pelican Lodge and it was the perfect home from home. The decor is very tasteful yet warm and comfortable. There was everything you would need or expect. The rooms were very clean and welcoming and the location was perfect just a stones throw away from the river and the early walks with our little dog.
This cottage exceeded all of our expectations.Very luxurious and quirky yet extremely comfortable. The location was breathtaking , with the sea just yards away from the front window. local amenities were not very far away. The owner has put a lot of thought into decorating and fitting out this property with no expense spared We wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future. We would prefer lighter tog duvets but in the colder months perhaps the current ones would be perfect.
This lovely house in a quiet location is one of the best equipped properties I have stayed in. The river Coquet is only a minute’s walk away, and the stunning Warkworth beach could be reached on foot within 20 minutes, or 5 minutes by car. The welcoming hampers -one for the humans and one for the dog!-were filled with thoughtful and delicious treats. The property was sumptuously decorated and had great quality furniture and beds, ensuring a very comfortable stay for 6 adults and a toddler. The only minor negative comment I have relates to the hedge at the back of the property which was ver...more
What a beautiful, beautiful cottage. Spotlessly clean, so comfortable - a little bit of luxury. The perfect spot to visit all the wonderful places Northumberland has to offer. A very special part of the country.
A fabulous cottage which was just as good, if not better than the photos. Well located for many of the Northumberland attractions.
Orchard House Barn is very cosy and relaxing being tucked away in a lovely quiet position. There are several walks in the area which Jeff has a lot of information about and is very helpful. I took the option to order an evening meal on my first evening which was excellent, Carol is an excellent cook!!
We had a lovely family holiday for a week here and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. It was a very quiet and peaceful place to sleep at night and the garden was great for the kids to play in and they loved the summer house. Near to all our favourite places so worked really well for us.
This is a beautifully restored old Northumberland stone house in a brilliant location right in the centre of the village and two minutes from both beach and estuary. It’s been imaginatively restored inside and provides plenty of space in all the right areas for a large group or family. Furnishings and fabrics are high quality and tasteful. Beds are super comfy. Outside space in the courtyard garden is a perfect size and well equipped.
A lovely house, perfect for families and in a great setting.. Everything provided and back up service was great. Very helpful and supportive in every way.
We have used Coquet cottages for many years in this area of Northumberland due to the continued high standard of properties. The Millstone is an outstanding example of this due of course to the hard work and attention to detail provided by the owners who conveniently live next door. The property was in a superb state of cleanliness on arrival, welcome pack and flowers the best we have had supplied. Every amenity was provided for your use and so comfortable furnishings and beds. The location is ideal as a base for any activity and places to eat out abound. We always use dog free properties and...more
Everything about the accomodation is good, very comfortable, clean, in a good place for looking around Northumberland - excellent in every way. Thank you very much for a great week.
The house was clean, light, spacious & perfectly positioned for our holiday in Amble. It was also very dog friendly. The games room was a boon in poor weather. The host, Karen was brilliant, and left some tasty treats for us AND the dog, on arrival. We would definitely would stay there again, and would recommend it to others.
We look to rent a house each summer for all our family both in the UK and France to meet up. Two grand parents , two children and their partners, two grandchildren and Angus the dog descended on Acclington and Fern House for a seven day holiday. The house is a new build in a small estate of similar properties surrounded by the village and open farm land. It is a beautiful property and located in a great position to visit local villages and towns. In addition the A1 is on head to go further North eg Bamburgh and Holy Island. Fern House is very well equipped and has a great family kitchen and ...more
This holiday apartment was right in the midst of things in Amble. Lovely coffee shop/food place next door. Artisan ice cream next door. Market and further restaurants 5 min walk away. High St about 6 min walk away. Easy walk to Walkworth. Stunning views. Apartment well equipped, although could do with a cafetiere as we don't all have pods to bring. The welcome pack was very well stocked apart from the spread Willow which is really for baking, and the cake could have been more local than Mc Vities. Everything else was great. This is one of the most stunning coastlines of Britain.
Our family, which is spread between England and Scotland, got together at Rebecca House for a weeks holiday. It was relaxed and enjoyable with lengthy beach walks every day for us and our two dogs. There are so many beaches to choose from in Northumberland! Rebecca House is very well presented in an attractive location. We wondered about staying in the town centre but it was very quiet and car parking wasn't a problem. Will definitely consider going back. Only slight problem was the kitchen with a dining table - it was a little cramped.
A beautiful cottage, decorated to a high standard and well equipped. Very clean and well presented with the added bonus of a pretty outdoor space. Owner discreet, friendly and helpful.
We had a lovely time in Hedgehog house. Embelton Village is a good location from which to explore all the castles and beaches in the area. Its great to be able to walk to a beach and a castle without using the car. The local pubs and welcoming and the shop is stocks local foods. Hedgehog house is very comfortable and very well equipped especially the kitchen. The welcome pack goes above and beyond including stuff for our fury family members and toiletries. Parking is good and the garden patio area very useful.
Absolutely loved our time at Pine Cone Hideaway, one of the best, if not the best we have stayed at in the past 15 years.
We enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Oaklands. The house has everything you need and was brilliantly clean and comfortable. A day in Amble and another on the nearby beach - ideal for a large family get-together.
We have used Coquet cottages before due to the quality of their properties. This was no exception. The barn is beautifully appointed and well maintained. The layout was excellent for our family, we travelled with elderly parents one of whom has mobility issues. Other than a couple of steps into the living room, with a helpful handrail, the barn is all on one level. Great sized rooms and 2 patios, a lovely big garden with a fabulous view! Only issue for me was there’s no decent pub in walking distance, other than the Rigg and furrow brewery tap which is 45mins on the road which is a bit hairy!...more
We have stayed in a number of cottages in the area with two or more bedrooms This was the first in a one bedroom house The cottage is fabulous from the decor to the facilities ( and the welcome hamper) The location is ideal for a wander into the village or Along the river bank As it’s dog friendly this is huge, the only issue was people looking in the window when passing by But all in all a fantastic 10 days We tried to book again for Christmas but they are already booked so we are staying next door
Great location for Amble, easy walk to the beach and the harbour. House was well presented and well equipped for all needs. Very comfortable stay, would recommend.
Where to start…… This apartment is wonderful and has everything you need within walking distance. The Penthouse is fitted out beautifully and I am struggling to find a fault. From the stunning views to the sumptuous interior it was clear that this was going to be a wonderful break. The 3 double rooms (upstairs) are very spacious each en-suite has a walk in shower. The room downstairs has 2 twin beds, en-suite with over bath shower and there is also a separate WC. We have recently started to holiday in this country due to my husband’s illness and finding accommodation suitable has proven to...more
Alnmill Cottage was wonderful. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable furniture and beds. Shower was great which is rare in a holiday cottage…but so important. There were little touches that were great and finally location was excellent. You have probably guessed we had a fantastic holiday
This house is spacious, well looked after and very comfortable with all one needs for a relaxing stay. The bathroom is truly stunning, the sitting room is lovely and cosy. All is of a really high standard and level of comfort akin to a high end hotel. We'll be back.
I stayed at Owl Cottage in August with my daughter, son in law and 2 granddaughters for a week in August and was very impressed by the cleanliness, decoration and accommodation. The beds were very comfortable and the configuration on 3 levels suited us as the family bathroom was on the first floor with the second bedroom and sitting room which gave a lovely view of the river. The main bedroom, with ensuite shower and the children's bedroom were located on the third floor. The large kitchen on the ground floor opened onto a garden with a gate which gave access to the river. The kitchen was s...more
Our first reaction on entering this property was WOW.The property itself is stunning as is the view and the owner has thought of everything. We not only chose it for it’s position but also as we are both in our 70s the fact it has a lift is a real bonus.A short stroll took us to many restaurants and we also used the bus to outlying villages and towns. Will definitely return hopefully in the near future.
We chose Honeysuckle House as it had two double bedrooms and welcomed dogs. Twin beds and bunk beds are not suitable for our party yet often come up in results for four adults. The property was furnished to a high standard and the kitchen was well equipped. The owner responded very quickly to our message about missing batteries from the TV remote. We had purchased replacements and declined reimbursement, as it wasn’t a big issue, but is something that will now be checked on changeover days. The area had lovely walks and places to stop for a coffee, cake or something stronger. W...more
The accomodation was first class and the views across the fields to the rear was something special especially when the horses came up close to the fence. The house was in a quiet area of Red Row but the villages were only a short drive away. The beach at Druridge Bay is outstanding and extremely clean, and in walking distance from the house. This is a perfect location for exploring the coast from Cresswell up to Bamburgh Castle. The hot tub was a real bonus especially after a long day out.
Lovely property beautiful location had a great stay at Honeybee Cottage. Would definitely recommend this cottage
Eider cottage was a beautiful place to stay. We travelled with my autistic son and 79yr old mum. It was home from home.. We'll appointed and luxury feel . Great quality fittings and kitchen well appointed. Top floor got very warm but fans were very effective.
Sea Gem is in a great location - quiet but only a few minutes walk into town or a short stroll to the harbour area. Our party was two adult couples and a single adult and the accommodation worked perfectly for this with separate bathrooms and two lounge areas when space was required. We also made use of both balconies when the weather allowed. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival and travel size toiletries. The kitchen is well equipped and cleaning essentials provided. A note to future visitors - be sure to pack your slippers as (understandably) no shoes are allowed in the property....more
I must say this break was one of the best experiences. Everything from booking the apartment to the actual stay was carried out with great ease and the professionalism of was so impressive, especially the information available to download regarding the apartment and all the details. Very reassuring indeed. We were kept informed by the booking company and also the owner of the property.
This cottage never fails to meet our needs.its always clean well maintained and everything you need. We love the location and have enjoyed resting in the sun room at the back after a busy day on the local beaches. The lemon drizzle cake in the welcome pack was a treat after a day out each day.
Lovely apartment , clean, well equipped, welcome hamper was so nice. Will visit again when we next come to Alnwick
Excellent location, owner and staff lovely, bedding and beds fantastic , only downside lift had broken and we were on the top floor but the owner had tried to get it mended and it WAS the weekend.
Had a second wonderful stay at The Oystercatcher. Beautiful, comfortable and well equipped cottage. Situated slightly inland which allowed you to experience the beach but then return home to the well kept garden to sit and relax. A taste of the coast and the country.
This was my third visit to Bamburgh Five and the property and the surrounding area was as beautiful and relaxing as ever.
Fantastic spacious house in a great location with everything that you could possibly need. Amazing holiday.
Cottage is beautifully equipped with quality fittings and equipment. Slight hiccup with the heating controls but the owner was very proactive and kept in touch. Great location with plenty to see and do. Very quiet village makes for a peaceful break - we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending or returning for another break.
Our third stay at Wagonway, a great, comfortable base for a trip to Northumberland. Fantastic location for all Alnwick has to offer and a short drive to the coast. Recommended
We enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was warm and comfortable and had a great ambience. We enjoyed the fact that we were able to walk to markets, shops and restaurants. Alnwick is well placed for visiting the coast of many historical venues. We appreciated the calls and texts we received from your customer service team which kept us informed and checked on our satisfaction. We have already booked another cottage for next year.
We booked this at the last minute and not knowing the Northumberland area very well. Amble was an excellent location to base ourselves for visiting the area. However we often find ourselves just sitting overlooking the Marina which is the jaw dropping view from the lounge which made for a late start every morning but very relaxing evenings. The apartment is very well appointed and wanted for nothing. The welcome pack and flowers were a lovely and welcome gesture. We will definitely be back.
Thanks again - we just come home when we come to Lobster - so easy and comfortable. Appreciate the extra touches. It is pricey relative to some other parts of the country but worth it as our main holiday and so important to us. Thanks Louise x
The New Dairy was a thoroughly pleasant cottage to be based for our investigation of the Northumberland Coast. It was exceptionally clean and very comfortable, a little warm at first until we realised and turned the heating off in all the rooms! It still really retains its warmth though. Most modern conveniences are provided with a fabulous welcome hamper too. Some of the fittings are maybe getting a little tired now, and the wooden kitchen work surface maybe wasn't the best choice... The other criticism we would level would be that it has possibly the worst TV in the lounge that we've experie...more
The Old Manse was great for our needs as there was lots of space for three families including 2 children and a baby, and was convenient for our day at a wedding in Ellingham Hall. Very easy stroll to Seahouses with decent places to eat, and the beach. We didn't do much catering in the house but the kitchen much smaller than expected and I would imagine difficult to cater fully for 10, though there was plenty of equipment, and the barbecue was excellent. (The toaster was tricky and one slot seemed not to work and others difficult to moderate without vigilance, so may benefit from replacement ,...more
Overall we enjoyed our stay but Honeypot House was a bit of a mixed bag. The traditional living room area was a nice space but no logs for the burner until October and it was difficult to heat the house on the cool nights. The garden area was lovely , the beds comfy but bathrooms tiny and kitchen equipment and furnishing often past its’ best.
This is the cleanest place we have ever stayed in. It is beautifully finished throughout and is right in the centre of Alnwick with the living room windows overlooking the green of a playing field and bowling club, and with views of the castle. The car space is also in a secure garage. Honestly, what is there not to like?
Contact with Coquet cottages before, during and after our stay was excellent. Hotspur cottage is very well equipped and in a central but quiet location. The best welcome hamper we've ever received, even a small hamper for the dog! Lovely walks right on your doorstep and many eating options. Although no designated parking space there were always plenty of spaces a short walk away and parking is free everywhere in Warkworth. We would highly recommend Coquet Cottages, Hotspur cottage and Warkworth.
Saltwater Cottage is ideally situated close to Seahouses amenities and about a 10 minute walk to the beach. The cottage is spacious and the garden was lovely. It had everything we needed for a relaxing break with our dogs. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.
We were delighted to find a children's bedroom with books, lego and dressing up clothes; also, a back garden with swings and a slide in it. This in Craster, near the playground. An excellent choice for a young family.
A lovely little bungalow, conveniently located for exploring the Northumbrian coast. A very relaxing getaway.
we have been visiting the Northumbrian coast for years, and have stayed in many properties. This year, we felt more at home and definitely more relaxed. Beadnell has it all, and feels a little less fast paced than neighbouring Seahouses with the hustle and bustle. With the lovely beach with easy access right on the doorstep, a short walk and we were there, and the collection of restaurants and bars for eating out it just rounded the whole experience off for us. A special mention to the saltwater cafe which is right on the doorstep! lovely food, great atmosphere through the day and bistro at ni...more
We stayed at Sandpiper for a week in August. It was our first time on holiday in Northumberland and what a place to stay. Has absolutely nothing everything you need and everything is catered for. The welcome baskets for ourselves and the dog were brilliant! The whole cottage was great, beds were super comfy, we loved the kitchen being so big that we could all 7 of us could sit together for meals. Also the new American style fridge/freezer is brilliant! My daughter loved the snug, she put Netflix on and the room was hers……….a perfect base for a perfect time in Northumberland. We’ll definately b...more
Ideal position for walk into Warkworth and Amble . However Warkworth beach is either a long walk or a short drive . Cherry tree Cottage is a modern airy bright well appointed house . Lovely welcome pack . Great value place to stay .
Great location , easy walk into Bamburgh. Dog friendly, secure large garden. Balcony view of the castle was fab. All amenities u could ever need at farne view.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cosy cottage. It was scrupulously clean and very well equipped with everything needed. The whole place was tastefully decorated, a real homely feel. The location is perfect and very quiet with an easy stroll into Alnwick with all its many amenities and attractions. We have been to Alnwick on a number of occasions so this weekend was purely to relax and also to celebrate my husband's birthday. We couldn't have chosen a more perfect place to stay and will most definitely come back. Thank you so very much.
I can't remember if we've stayed in the Quarterdeck 4 or 5 times. We just love the view from the living room. You can sit there no matter what the weather and watch the comings and goings in the marina, and the birds on the mud/sand banks. The apartment has all of the comforts that you would expect - washer, dishwasher etc. Cling film, foil and kitchen roll etc provided. Sofas and beds are comfortable, plenty of storage/hanging space, and a superking bed (or twin) in the main bedroom is a treat for us. Some people have commented on the lack of TVs in the bedrooms, but we would never put the...more
1. Garden cottage was well equipped and comfortable with all the necessary items. 2. Lovely patio garden to sit out and watch the children playing in the garden. 3. Helpful and thoughtful owners. 4. A great welcome hamper on our arrival. 5. Warkworth is a great place to be based for beaches and castles.
We had a week away with our three grandchildren, what a lovely holiday & fabulous property. The room sizes were very generous, very often clever image taking can make a property look larger than life, the penthouse was not one of those. We took advantage of the well equipped kitchen, making cooking in a pleasure. The location was perfect, just steps to the estuary and amazing beach. Parking spaces were always available even though it was peak season in the middle of August. We will definitely be looking at booking with Coquet Cottages again, after enjoying the high standards within this h...more
We loved staying at Sunny Cottage in Warkworth. Great location near to the river with easy walks into the village and to the castle. Very comfortable house (especially the beds) and plenty of space to sit and relax. If there is a niggle it is the name of 'Sunny House': even in a sunny week we were disappointed that there was little sun at the front or back of the house (perhaps some pruning of shrubs might help?) except for an odd hour in the middle of the day.
We had a superb stay at The Shiel - perfectly located for Bamburgh, the beach, A1 (!) and other local attractions but still felt away from it all. The drive up to the cottage from the A1 with sea views behind is spectacular. The cottage was very clean, tastefully decorated and seemed to have everything that you could possibly want for your stay. The children were very excited to discover the outside balls and games. The welcome pack was excellent and a greatly appreciated after our long drive. The owners were very attentive and helpful, making sure before and during our visit that we were ...more
We have stayed at Earls several times over the past decade. It has been our little bolt hole where our son has enjoyed fabulous beaches, and we have felt very relaxed there. The recent touches such as seating in the small courtyard, and the Alnwick Gardens passes, along with the added Alexa and TV upgrades (for inevitable wet days) are great, and add to the fabulous feel of the property.
Perfect garden for the family dogs. Perfect location for beach walking and golf( for the boys ) and most importantly a perfect place for the baby. Plenty of comfortable space for her playmat and very nice spacious bathrooms for baby bath time. Best bathroom view ever. We had a very happy holiday and met up with lots of wider family members.
Harebell House is an attractive house in a small modern development in the hamlet of Ellingham. Everything in the home was beautifully presented and we felt like we were staying in a family's personal home rather than a holiday cottage. Communication was excellent before, during and after our stay. Definitely recommended.
Another great stay in this beautiful house. Extremely well equipped with everything needed for staying in and a very central location for eating out. Close to all major attractions and great beaches. Dogs loved the long garden too.
We had rhe most beautiful stay at Riverstone Cottage. We are no strangers to Northumberland and this trip was a special tribute to my mum, who sadly died in March. Mum's go-to place was always Warkworth. Riverstone is so welcoming, comfortable and beautifully appointed. We all felt so privileged to call it home for a week. The welcome baskets were very thoughtful and personal (our dog was as impressed as we were)! Thank you for providing us with such a fabulous base for our travels around the area. It was utterly faultless - even the weather was kind!
Wonderfully comfortable home. Alnmouth is the perfect beach holiday for all ages. Grab a coffee and a Nata from Scott’s and head to the beach. The house has everything you will need. It was great to open the doors on the garden as we had good weather. Beds are comfortable. Nothing negative to say. Host very friendly and good welcome pack and special cake for our 40th wedding anniversary.
Probably one of the best locations and views in Alnmouth. Very comfortable and well equipped house . Very convenient for shop and pub in Alnmouth and beach and local walks. There are a lot of stairs so not ideal for people with limited mobility. The beautiful balcony more than makes up for lack of outside space.
We had a fab time in the Sewing Room. It’s in the heart of Alnmouth but so cosy, stylish and has its own sheltered and private courtyard. Lovely showers, comfy sofas and all that you need for a pleasant stay. It’s one of the nicest cottages I’ve stayed in - and I’ve stayed in many! Would deffo return.
Larch House is a stunning property with everything you need for a self catering stay. The village is lovely, quiet and peaceful. Great base to explore the area with both Alnmouth and Alnwick close by. The property has a lovely, fully enclosed garden, ideal if you are taking your pets. This is our second visit and it’s fantastic to see both the village shop and pub open. This made a real difference. The only downside for us was the noise level from the neighbour behind the property with loud music blaring until after 11pm both Friday and Saturday. A real shame as otherwise a really quaint...more
Our family had an absolutely wonderful time at Wood Cottage. The view from the property is magical; the layout of the property is so well thought out, the kitchen equipped with anything you could possibly need, and the decor just feels like "home". The welcome pack was also possibly the most generous we've ever been gifted, thank you!
Lovely apartment in beautiful location with amazing views. Perfect short stay to explore the area. We will be coming back and have recommended the apartment to friends already.
Quiet and peaceful area, easy to walk into Amble. Balconies were a great sun trap and a great place for morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Going through the bedroom, or the outdoor side gate, to access the garden is a little inconvenient, so we probably didn't use the patio / garden area as much as we may have done.
We had a fantastic stay at No1 Duke Street. The property is very well decorated and there are a lot of great touches and it is obvious a lot of thought and effort has gone into making guests stay a pleasant one.
Beautiful house in lovely location. It provided a great base to explore the surrounding area - in particular the beaches and walks along the river. The welcome hamper and other kitchen provisions were perfect for the number of people the house could accommodate.
An excellent cottage at the end of Brewery Lane and overlooking the river. A nice big bed and good size bathroom. Nice welcome hamper and conveniently place to access the town with its pubs, shops and restaurants.
Very comfortable cottage in a lovely setting, well located to explore all local sights. Good company to deal with.
Great welcome pack. Good location close to Bamburgh.Compact courtyard barn with parking ideal for a couple.
We stayed for our Golden Wedding celebration week and everything met our expectations and more. The rooms and decor were just beautiful not to mention the wonderful view of the river from the bedrooms. The welcome hamper was full of lovely local produce plus one for the dog. She soon found the bowl of fresh water too on our arrival. Wonderful scones too and flowers. Coquet cottages know exactly what their customers expect and always live up to a very high standard
Sandpiper is a lovely house. Spacious, comfortable and equipped with everything you need. The garden and outdoor seating is great and lovely to relax in and the Snug is great for kids/teenagers to have their own space.
Enjoyed staying here. 99%was excellent, only feedback was needed extra mugs or cups . For 6 people we had 7 cups. The bedrooms were all a good size and comfortable. Living space and gardens excellent and would definitely stay here again.
I suppose on first arriving the street doesn't feel 'seasidey' but the cottage is very pretty from the outside and even better once through the door. The whole house has been so tastefully decorated and maintained. Every item thoughtfully purchased and looks so stylish. The quality is very high too. There aren't notices everywhere telling you what you should or shouldn't do in the house. Due to the weather being too cold we didn't take advantage of the outside space, which, again was in good order. Amble is a great base for exploring the area with fine fish restaurants and ice cream. The house is spotless and beautifully decorated, everything you need for a very comfortable stay is provided. We enjoyed the thoughtful welcome package and the luxury toiletries. The views from the balcony of the vast skies and lovely and we even saw the northern lights! Thank you for a fantastic stay.
The Coasthouse had everything.High tech kltchen. Lovely bedrooms and the most comfortable beds.Livingroom large TV and balcony with view.Weather was great so barbecue and outside area were fantastic.Plenty of room for a family of eight and 2 dogs. Parking for 3 cars a bonus.Beadnell a lovely village with good eating places
We thoroughly enjoyed our short break in this lovely cottage, it is beautifully furnished and provides everything you could possibly need. It is immaculately clean and very welcoming.
The property was perfect in every way. We were away for a special trip with my sister and friends and we really couldn’t fault a thing. The location was great, cottage spotless and perfect and the weather just made it all that little bit more special. We had dinner in the pub across the road one night which was lovely.
This lovely first floor apartment was spotless and of a good size. It was very well equipped, with everything needed for a great stay. It also had the bonus of a garden with a summer house. It was situated in a great location in the beautiful village of Warkworth. Parking was very close by and there was never a problem finding a space. There was an excellent restaurant almost opposite the apartment and 2 good pubs serving food a short stroll away. Warkworth is an ideal base for exploring the Northumberland coast and also has an amazing castle.
We felt that the kitchen utensils could have been more comprehensive. We could not find any instructions for the microwave and electric oven which would have been useful. In Hindsight the downstairs bathroom was a little inconvenient for us. It is however in a lovely location and comfortable for couples especially.
Great location in the centre of Alnmouth, very clean, well decorated and furnished. Plenty of space. Good information and guidance. Lots of choices for food and drink, and a lovely clean beach 10 mins walk away. However, please note that the cottage is next to an Ex-Servicemen’s Club. This wasn’t an issue much of the time, but it was quite noisy until midnight on the Saturday night of our stay.
Windows in need of replacement. En-suite shower room very dark and water leaked under door. Heating not tested, but do not know how effective it is - would not stay here during winter months. Condensation on most windows.
The accommodation is fantastic, as is the location, very home from home!! This is my third time staying in a Coquet property and they have yet to disappoint
Fantastic stay in a well equipped, bright, airy and comfortable apartment. Everything we needed with easy living for a week. The location is perfect right in town with access to shops, bars, restaurants and activities right on the doorstep. We would happily return anytime.
A great cottage in a brilliant, quiet location. We really appreciated the welcome hamper too! Thank you
Overall very good but it is a little noisy. Well placed for access to the town shops and restaurants.
Novelist cottage has lots of character and provides a home from home. Easy walk to Alnwick town and a cosy pub (Tanners) a few doors down. Cottage (well, an old school before becoming a library) was clean and tidy with everything you could want for a comfortable break.
View from the property is exactly as described 'bay view'. Perfect for watching waves, seabirds & dolphins. The house was clean & comfortable. We ate out mostly as the local restaurants are great but kitchen is well resourced.
Lovely stay in the heart of Alnwick. Great location and very close to the Castle, Gardens, Barter Books and local shops, including marketplace. Comfortable and well equipped accommodation.
This cottage was just amazing, decorated to a very high standard. It’s also in a great location, round the corner from lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Thank you for the hamper on arrival and store cupboard essentials, along with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The cottage was spotless and even had treats for dogs. The owner sent a text ensuring that we arrived and that everything was ok. We are now looking for a long weekend for next year and would use Coquet Cottage company to help find our next perfect cottage
Had a lovely stay at the cottage. It was well presented, very clean and had all the amenities and more! I didn't expect washing machine ir dishwasher and, though it was in info, I didn't expect such an amazing welcome pack ( and doggy one) as only a short break the local milk, bread and butter along with the other goodies really set us up for a few days basics and more!
Seascape is in perfect position overlooking sea and very comfortable. Some of the cooking trays were in an unusable condition and plates chipped. But everything else was good, making a very relaxing experience.
Seaview is in a super, quiet, position with easy access to Northumbria's glorious coast and wonderful castles, and just a short ride away from Alnwick's shops. With garden to 3 sides that can be closed off for dog or children, and a choice of sitting areas within the cottage it's ideal for our family holidays. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, and cosy, with all you need for home catering, plus there are eateries within close reach - even next door! Beds are superbly comfortable and bed linen and towels top quality as well as beautiful. We've enjoyed our 4th summer break there.
Jolliffe is a beautiful property in the best location. It was very clean on arrival and exceptionally well appointed and equipped. A great welcome basked was provided and customer support before, during and after was exceptional. The outdoor area is great for all family use and a great vantage pint to watch the croquet and cricket, or just stare at the castle!
Very comfortable house. Took a bit of getting used to the trains! Very comfortable beds. Just a short drive to Warkworth and the beach. Good base for seeing the sights in Northumberland.
This was our second visit to Wren Cottage. It is beautifully decorated and very clean. The cottage is comfy and very well equipped. The beds are especially comfy and the shower powerful. The owner is in the process of replacing one or two items of furniture. The welcome pack was much appreciated as was the provision of basic cleaning products. We especially liked the location on the outskirts of Warkworth but only a short stroll to the village centre and being able to walk to the beach too. On street parking was easy on the quiet road. We were fortunate to have good weather and Wren Cottage ma...more
A lovely big house - ample for our party of 9. Great location for Wooler high street and able to park all 3 cars on the drive. 20/30 mins from the coast. Beds clean & comfortable, plenty of seating downstairs for us all to 'spread out'. Hot tub was a great addition. The property did feel a bit 'tired' in places - garden furniture was in need of some TLC, a lot of the crockery was chipped, glasses mixed in size and shape and we couldn't muster 9 tumblers (mainly wine/prosecco glasses). Plenty of cutlery though. Noting the pets are allowed, we didn't see any evidence of dog hairs etc so th...more
Both pre & post arrival customer service was excellent. This holiday home was five star, throughly reccomended.
Lovely roomy house in a great location. The kitchen could be better stocked with utensils, glasses and cooking equipment. Also work surfaces throughout could be cleaner.
We have just spent a week at High Tide, which is such a relaxing and comfortable place to stay, with so many great places to visit within a short distance. The view from the Lounge and the short walk to the beach with the dog, along with the lovely big garden, was the main attraction for us, but being close to the Coastal Path will be an added bonus for many people. Thank you to our Hosts for the very welcome Hamper.
A very enjoyable week, close to the lovely beach and river and also to Alnmouth, we also enjoyed Embleton beach and visited Holy island, Bamburgh and Alnwick
We had a wonderful family holiday and the cottage was a perfect base to do this. Excellent location. Comfortable. Children’s toys were a lovely touch. Thank you for the welcome hamper…much appreciated Highly recommend this property.
The Baker's Dozen is a well equipped, quiet and comfortable apartment in a converted Malthouse a short walk from the centre of Alnwick. The apartment has an allocated parking space in the residents only parking area. There is a lift or stairs to the apartment and entry to the apartment block is by coded keypad. The Baker's Dozen has all the equipment needed for a comfortable stay, including a small balcony which can be accessed from the living room and main bedroom. The balcony is west facing and overlooks a public car park which was busy in the morning, but not used from around 5 pm onwards...more
Fantastic, comfortable and clean cottage that is outstandingly equipped for holiday stay. Located in a nice, quiet and scenic area of Warkworth close to the river and the castle with easy access to the long sandy beach, scenic Amble with its bustling harbour and facilities and a short drive from attractive Alnmouth. We had a great holiday with grandparents on the second floor and parents and twins on the first floor. Not visited this bit of Northumberland before and will certainly be back.
Lovely, cosy and comfortable cottage. Everything you need and more. The welcome hamper inc for the dog is a lovely gesture. Bonus with great weather too. Short walk into town.
The cottage is in a great location near to the high street. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the condition of the place. Several kitchen items need to be been replaced, chipped plates and cups, pans with hardly any non stick coating left. The bathroom towels were grey and stained.
Tower House is amazing with excellent facilities for a family with small children. The motion sensory lights fittings in the room were a real bonus when you are up during the night. I would highly recommend Tower House and Warkworth beach is a must for all to visit. Hope to be back soon.
Booked for a three generation seaside break. Excellent location. Lovely private courtyard for dog and toddler. Very well equipped kitchen for cooking large family meals Loved the VHS library
Communication prior to arrival with the cottage owners was great . We loved the sociable space . The house was spacious yet cosy and welcoming . The hot tub was a firm favourite and was enjoyed by all. It felt very private and we were deranged by the garden blackbird and robins I loved the history of the building and the amazing old veterinary books which were a nod to the houses past . We liked the close proximity to Wooler and enjoyed lunch at the Blackbull and a dinner at Milan - everyone was very friendly .
This house is the best location ever for accessing Bamburgh, the castle and the beach. Literally 5 mins walk from everything which meant we saw sun rises and sunsets and had early morning and late night swims as the car wasn't needed. The house was clean and tidy on arrival although the pots on the front step would benefit from some nice plants instead of giant weeds and toadstools! However ample parking for the 3 cars we had. A spacious property which allows a family group to spread out and engage in different activities. The garden is quite small and not suitable to children to play in. ...more
Very small but perfectly formed. We enjoyed our stay in Waterside Cottage. It was very well equipped and lovely furnishings. In centre of Bamburgh which we enjoyed.
