We stayed at Prince Rupert cottage for our Granddaughter's wedding who got married in Sudeley Castle and the cottage was so perfect it added to making our weekend a very joyous occasion. Will definitely stay there again. We were so pleased that we have told our friends and family about them.
We had a wonderful weekend in Winchcombe staying at Queens, a lovely property at Sudeley Castle. The property was warm and cosy and furnished to a very high standard. The addition of the Christmas tree in the property and the snow which arrived while we were there made our visit very magical. We hope to visit again soon.
A really lovely, well appointed, little cottage in a stunning location perfect for a stay in the Cotswolds. Close to many wonderful attractions, great foodie destinations and beautiful walks. Wonderful friendly hosts who could not have been more welcoming.
I have stayed at many holiday lets around the UK. I can honestly say this is the cleanest and best equipped holiday let of all. It was spotless! We were made to feel extremely welcome by Tim and his wife. We felt at home and were treated very very well. Shipton Oliffe is a pretty little village although there are no pubs here there are plenty in the surrounding areas of the cotswolds. Nearby is the green dragon inn which we would highly recommend. We enjoyed a very good value and great tasting sunday roast here. It is a cosy country pub with large fires, good wine selection and good atmosphere...more
Surprised to find such a large, comfortable house so close to town. Everything very convenient, well maintained, and plenty of room for a large group.
The cottage has a great open plan downstairs area - perfect for a group of friends. The location is good for visiting the Cotswolds with a pub very close.
This cottage is of exceptional quality. The decor is very attractive, it is very well equipped and the condition of everything is excellent. The bathrooms are stunning. It was very clean and with pleasant fragrances throughout. There were only three of us and we were only there two nights but it is clearly suitable for bigger parties and longer stays. The back garden is a good size and with great views. A useful addition would be a movement sensitive light at the back so that when returning at night from the parking area you can see where to go. The village is quiet with no shops/pubs but Bro...more
Spent 2 nights here in mid-October. Cottage was perfect for the four of us and there was another large double bedroom that we didn't need to use. Comfy, cosy and warm cottage with everything we needed for a short stay. We pretty much lived in the splendid kitchen. Unfortunately we couldn't see the views from the cottage due to the low lying mist!! The castle is a 5 min walk away, across the road and into the exit from the car park. You can also drive there in 1 min if mobility is a problem. We spent all our time in the castle/in the cottage, but Winchcombe is only 5 mins away by car. Perfect ...more
The cottage was perfect as a base for exploring the Cotswolds. An additional bonus was an excellent pub within easy walking distance. Being able to visit Sudeley Castle whenever we wished also made the whole experience special. Our only complaint was on our arrival. We had booked well in advance and the instructions we had received to access our cottage were no longer relevant. Thankfully the office at the castle was still open and a phone call gave us the correct code to open our door. Had we arrived an hour later we would have been forced to book into a hotel. Apart from that hiccup the ...more
A perfect location for family and friends to gather from all over the UK. A welcoming host and full access to the surrounding farmland to walk the dogs. The homely Interior of the house works well with plenty of space. Lots of cooking utensils, plates , cups etc for large groups and other facilities such as washing machine if required. The hot tubs were greatly enjoyed and the underfloor heating and fire provided warmth and relaxation . The exterior of the cottage could be tidier and safer for small children and dogs, but we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider it again for ano...more
Very comfortable apartment for a weekend break. Not the easiest place to find, but once there, it is a quiet location, walking distance from the village.
The cottages were walking distance from the beautiful village of Winchcombe. Good shopping, and places to eat. We came to attend the wedding of our granddaughter in the castle chapel, followed by the reception in the castle. Everything was made perfect by all the staff who couldn't have done more for us all. Members of our families came from Wales, England, Spain and Australia, we were all occupying cottages very close to each other. Wonderful !!!
This cottage is lovely. We would only add that a welcome hamper would be very much appreciated- we feel that the minimal cost would be well worth it for customer goodwill- however we know the company does not agree. We did see some rats in the garden which we have reported to the owners. Otherwise fine.
Mother and daughter enjoyed the closeness to village for eating out and exploring. Also fun to walk through the sheep on path to Sudeley castle.
Location, accommodation great for wedding party Peaceful. Good set up but would have liked to see a welcome pack on arrival. When driven for hours a few home comforts would have helped.
The cottages were clean and bright, the bedrooms well furnished, and the kitchen had most of what we needed, but I wouldn't have been keen to cook there, for lack of good utensils. It is a shame there isn't simple condiments like salt and pepper.
Not fit for staying in.Brdroom height a major discomfort.Staircase and location of bathroom a complete inconvenience.znor sure how this house lasses dafety fehulation.Fife alarm kept going off every hour.Got no sleep.Relorted sll this already
Love Sudeley castle, but cottage disappointing in that 1. Window in the bedroom slid right down when I tried to open it for ventilation at night, trapping my hand. I asked for it to be repaired and the following night found it had been nailed shut!, 2. The handle came off the bedroom door when I tried to open it, trapping me inside. 3. The bathroom shower was faulty, and only produced boiling hot water, dangerously hot. Also the shower fittings were loose, and the bath plug did not work.
Heating and hot water systems - owner controlled remotely, consequently cold water on first morning and had to call to ask for heating on Sunday early evening. No iron. Though 2 x high chairs and cots were agreed, only one of each was present - tricky with 1 year old twins, fortunately the one cot supplied was large enough to accommodate 2. Very thin feather pillows, one per bed space, mentioned by everyone in the family group Kitchen/diner/living - great family space with direct access to lawns with swings and trampoline enjoyed by all
