A wonderful stay at Orchard View. Spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Such a lovely location, quiet but with the owners horses for company in the field. I’m not generally a fan of horses but they were fabulous to have around and I had a little soft spot for Barney by the time we left!
Thatch Cottage lived up to our expectations; pretty decor, cosy, comfortable bedrooms, a high-end well equipped kitchen and decent garden for evening drinks. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful location, with sheep-dotted fields viewed from the upstairs windows, and easy access to Moreton and lots of other lovely Cotswold towns. We’d like to have tried Scenic Suppers up the road at Todenham farm were we there longer, it looked great. Many thanks.
My friends and I had a small reunion and this property was above and beyond our expectations. The home itself is flawless and stunning, each room was beautiful! Photos cannot do this home and property justice! The outside property is stunning, the gardens are phenomenal and every way you turn there is something beautiful to see. The staff working around the property were an absolute pleasure and were very helpful with every request we had. I cannot recommend this highly enough for any get together or event!
A lovely few days away - cottage was beautiful and immaculately clean - we will be back - thank you very much
A beautiful well equipped house finished to a high standard. Basic toiletries supplied in all bathrooms/toilets and starter basics in kitchen were very helpful. Kitchen has plenty of cutlery & crockery but a measuring jug & weighing scales would be handy if not planning to eat out. Enclosed garden was perfect for our toddler grandson, although would suggest clearing small stones from around patio area, as his favourite game was "posting" these into the tracking for the bifold door. Not an easy job to clear (property is advertised as child friendly). Very tranquil area and well positioned fo...more
This is a beautiful cottage, well appointed, well located, exceptionally clean - simply amazing. The host is very accommodating, essentials in the fridge to settle us in, the decor is gorgeous, it is a good size, there are no downsides to this place. I am already thinking about the next trip.
A beautiful cottage in an amazing location. We wanted somewhere that we could relax and be able to walk to the local pub - Lily Barn ticked both boxes. The hot tub is the icing on the cake - the cherry would be if you provided some bath robes for when you get out. The seating area outside the front door is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine and a good book. We will definitely come here again when we need another recharge.
Old Fox Cottage is delightful. It is maintained throughout to a high standard. Nothing is spared...everything provided for a cosy and comfortable stay. The decor and furnishings are just stunning with many quirky features. The cottage is set in the beautiful village of Bretforton close to the breathtaking surrounding villages and landmarks in the Cotswolds. We will definitely stay here again.
We have just spent a lovely week in the Drying House in Ledbury. A lovely property with it's upside down nature. Everything was spotlessly clean and the house was very well equipped. Ledbury's main shopping street can be accessed through a short passageway so shops pubs etc. are very easy to get to. Ross on Wye and all the attractions of the Wye are only about 30 mins away (we went caneoing and paddle boarding).
Superb location in a truly idyllic setting. All the amenities necessary for our stay. Loved sitting outside on the terrace listening to the peaceful sounds of the countryside. We all definitely stay here again.
Beautiful characterful home, lovely homely feel, very clean and felt comfortable there from the moment we arrived. Garden beautiful too, we all enjoyed spending time out there. The conservatory was brilliant for the rainy times., Location perfect, with such easy access to the pubs and shops, and to the many fantastic walks. Overall we would highly recommend Barebones and would love to return one day.
We stayed here for a long weekend. It was lovely place, a good size for 2 adults, 2 kids and a dog, it had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The stairs were quite steep and the cold air came in the front door but the rooms were very warm and cozy. It was spotlessly clean with plenty of books and DVDs to keep us occupied when we weren't out walking around Malmesbury and the surrounding countryside.
We loved every moment in Coach House. We did not expect to use the pool but Heather (who is so so so lovely !) kindly opened the pool early, with the nice weather it really made an unforgettable trip in cotswold.
This was our third visit to Candlemakers' Cottage. We find it an ideal base to explore the area and visit relatives in neaby Box and Bath, and the owner accepts dogs. We love everything about it - the cosy AGA and wood burner, the comfy beds and living room, the fantastic garden with outdoor seating and well-tended boarders. The owner, Louise, is very attentive and friendly and the village of Marshfield is a great location with it's pub serving food, well-stocked village shop, vintage shop and post office, and Bath stone-built historic houses it's a picturesque setting with plenty of do...more
We had a wonderful break at this cottage. It’s set in beautiful grounds in a perfect location. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the break. Owners are very welcoming and make you feel very comfortable. We hope to come back soon.
We booked one week and wish we had booked two! Our stay was amazing and exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be coming back - thank you so much.
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage, the location was perfect. The place had all the amenities required and was nice and clean. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 children and it was plenty big enough for a weeks stay. Would stay here again next time we are in the area.
Totally fell in love with the village of Blockiey & Stepping Stones was a really good place to stay in terms of location in the village. Very clean & comfortable. Only downside was garden furniture was not comfortable enough to sit out other than for a quick drink/bite to eat & the cottage was fairly lacking in sunshine due to the high trees around.
A beautiful cottage in the heart of Bouton On The Water. The cottage was exceptionally clean, so homely and welcoming. The location is perfect, we would definitely return.
We had the advantage of already knowing Charlbury which is a charming place, not touristy, villagers all friendly and chatty. Little Deli is great for bits and pieces and coffee and cake. Co-op about 8 mins walk away. We visited several little nearby places all of which were delightful. We would love to come again and would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to others. It is a little gem. If you want to go to places like Oxford the train station is a little walk away and there are also buses. We hope to be able to visit again in the future.
Spent a wonderful three nights at the Tudor Oak shepherd's hut. It's such a charming little spot. The hut itself is pristine: really well designed, thoughtfully furnished, and very comfortable. Great bed and linens, good shower, and a well-equipped kitchen for being so small. Though a tiny space, we never felt cramped. The view over pasture, trees, and hills is so peaceful, with such relaxing views from the bed and the patio. The table/chairs, sun loungers, fire pit, BBQ, and hot tub are such lovely amenities and make it a great space to relax and unwind. We had some lovely walks from the prop...more
We loved every moment of our stay at the Dovecote. The scenery was so beautiful and Avon Farm had really helpful staff, it made our stay a really enjoyable and relaxing honeymoon. The working farm was also a fabulous touch, we loved going out to get fresh eggs from the chickens every morning! Many thanks, we would definitely recommend!
Just had a fabulous few nights away in this stunning cottage, post lockdown. Communication with both the cottage owner and agents who manage it was fantastic. They were super friendly, available to answer my questions and so helpful. Cottage itself was fantastic. Stayed as a family of 4 with 2 children and dog. We all had enough space and facilities were great. Style of interiors is very welcoming, modern and trendy, in a warm way. Location is fantastic, just minutes from the high street, 5 min drive from Daylesford farm and gorgeous surrounding villages. Garden was great, wifi good, telev...more
Our party consisted of four adults, a three-year-old and a baby. Swallows Rest suited us all. The children loved the garden, and the house provided a choice of travel cots plus high chair. Having two sitting rooms, one with direct access to the garden, was a bonus. The kitchen is well-equipped, and we were pleased to find a bag of dishwasher tabs - a holiday cottage first. Comfortable beds and quiet surroundings make for restful nights. The location is glorious - far-reaching views, Broadway and all its charms just a 10-minute drive away. We did encounter two problems and had to contact th...more
Four of us had a lovely girlie stay in Singer House. The location is perfect for restaurants etc. House is cosy with a stunning court yard.
The cottage was very clean and well maintained although the garden was a bit wild! The only real problem we had was an abundance of wood lice, mainly in the master bedroom on the floor and the wardrobe doors. We had to dispose of dozens during our stay.
The house was absolutely perfect for our needs - suited a family really well (two young kids). The house was spotless and kitted out brilliantly. You’d thought of everything. It was quiet, comfy and perfectly located. We have family locally and will definitely be back!
We absolutely loved staying here and celebrating my mums 70th. Stable Cottage is beautiful and we felt so relaxed and really switched off.
The barn conversion was immaculate. It would have been great to have some trellis or willow fencing around the garden though, it felt very exposed. It was just a patch of grass with a very low fence and you were sitting right beside the people next door. Even though it's a small space, established plants & new garden furniture with a parasol etc could make it really lovely to relax in. If walk into town, road incredibly busy with very fast cars. Felt safer driving unfortunately.
We had lovely stay! Getting to the bed is a bit cumbersome, but we knew it was a hayloft when we booked. Recommend.
We recently stayed at Bell house in Nympsfield for over three weeks. I hated to leave!!! The gardens are amazing. The Bell house is part of a larger home and the owners are quite lovely, they even had us over for drinks one evening! It is very tranquil and relaxing. We loved seeing all the farm animals all around, particularly the piglets. There is one pub about a mile up the road and it is very nice. If you are looking for a lively surroundings, this might not be best the best fit. We loved it and would go again!!
Maisey Cottage is a very well maintained and beautifully extended cottage. It is very well equipped with quality goods making for an extremely comfortable stay.
Gladstone Cottage was a beautiful place for a holiday, so much room, everything was spotless, modern and plentiful. The kitchen is stunning, and had every amenity I could ever have hoped for! The bedrooms were big and spacious, 3 of the 4 with en-suite and the living room was both light, comfortable and big, but also cosy.
This was our second stay at Kingfisher cottage and once again provided excellent comfortable accommodation with all mod cons. Plenty to do in the surrounding area and lots of local restaurants for eating in or takeaway. Couldn’t really have asked for anything more. Really great.
Had a lovely stay at Spinners Cottage, first trip away with the baby! The location was fantastic, short walk into the centre of the village, lovely and quiet. Very tastefully finished, comfortable and everything we needed was provided. Would definitely recommend! And thank you Wendy for the chocolates and Prosecco, both were very much needed!
Bishops was lovely and a great location for exploring the area. Ledbury itself was lovely too, with lots of independant shops right on the doorstep. We had a lovely stay.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely and cosy and has a home away from home appeal. The village is lovely and quiet and was great to sit in the garden overlooking the field. There were just a couple of bits that need looking at they didn't effect our stay but had to find creative soloutions. So the child lock under the sink does not work and this is where the chemicals are stored. The stairgate does not stay closed so had to block them off with chairs. No upstairs child gate. The plug in the bath does not work properly and the water drained out before my 18 month old had finished. T...more
This is the second time we've stayed at Appletree...such a charming and lovely cottage. The location is superb and it's decorated beautifully throughout.
I have stayed in many bolthole cottages and this one is definitely one of the best. Beautifully presented cottage all rooms decorated to a high standard, well stocked kitchen with decent equipment. Lovely cake & eggs for the stay. Private garden very well kept, good quality patio furniture. Location perfect, very quiet & a great pub down the road. My only criticism no toilet in the en-suite, but I would still stay there again.
Beautiful house with stunning garden and views. Very well stocked kitchen except for freezer (just a small drawer in the top of one of the fridges), beautifully decorated with lots of lovely touches we had a brilliant weekend in a lot of comfort!
Had a great stay for almost a week in lovely Church Cottage. Our two small grandchildren absolutely loved the garden. Convinient location in charmig Burford. Close to shops and pubs. Family Korling from Sweden and Cobham
We had a great couple of nights stay at the landers. Was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Lovely bathrooms with nice rain showers. The pool was also brilliant! Thanks very much for the stay. We would highly recommend!.
We had the most incredible and relaxing stay. The highlights were the living room area and hot tub (which was heated and actually very hot! Was amazing in the winter cold). The wood burning fire was also a total treat. Oh and the goats/chickens/blue the dog. The hosts were all very helpful and friendly and we felt very looked after (even though they leave you alone and it’s private, there’s always someone around to be cheerful and help you in an instance). Thank you for such a wonderful stay, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to everyone.
Just had a lovely short break at meadow view. As soon as we arrived all stress disappeared the cottage was stylish and clean and alot of room ,we took 2 dogs and had no problem as there was so much room outside for them to exercise and enjoy themselves. Felt we had privacy to relax but owner was around if u wanted him which we didn't .The hot tub was to die for and we used it alot .
Brilliant value for money. So simple to book and the nice touch of owners contacting prior to arrival was nice. Great location for visiting the Cotswolds. I know the cottage is in a farm but driveway could do with a little TLC but other than that cannot fault the property.
I stayed at Hawthorn Cottage with my family, the night before my wedding so this was a very special stay. Overall perfect property, clean, open spaces with natural light as per the photos and high end furnishings with super king size beds, fresh fluffy towels and all the kitchen amenities you could want. My only negative would be that on arrival, the cleaners were still at the property after the given check in time and we were told that we weren’t expected until Friday (the day we were due to check out). This did cause a little stress, however I called bolthole retreats right away, who apolo...more
Fantastic property in an amazing part of the country, and the property was even better than the photos on the website.
We had a great time at Old Oak House. All the facilities and amenities were of a high standard. The hot tub was a great addition and was easy to operate. The kitchen was well equipped. The dining table and living room area were cosy and comfortable, we could all sit and have space. We pre booked taxi’s as Uber was a little slow - the taxi company Keynsham Taxis were fantastic. We did feel a little spied on by the neighbours and were complained about for the smallest of outdoor noise (no music just sat chatting and laughing in the hot tub) The house and stay were both absolutely fantastic - w...more
this was the second time we have stayed at the Sudeley cottages, we had a few very enjoyable days at the Queens Cottage,it was an excellent cottage for the number in our family, it was spotless and very well equipped, we had one issue with the shower door but the Sudeley management had it resolved the same day. Hoping to visit again soon.
This delightful cottage is perfectly located just off the Winchcombe high street and close to the start of numerous walks through and round the Sudeley Castle estate A light and airy modern extension provides a lot of very comfortable and peaceful living space. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need Thoroughly enjoyed and look forward to coming back soon
The location is brilliant - proper countryside on the doorstep and an award winning pub 30 seconds away (it was never noisy though, except for birdsong). The house was super clean and beds were comfy, but there were a couple of things that slightly marred our stay. The layout is a bit odd with the living room and garden completely separate from the kitchen and patio dining. So we never used them! The garden is weirdly bleak - just one little shrub or tree to soften it would go a long way. The internet signal was very patchy and weak - not good enough to watch TV some of the time. The acoustics...more
We have had a wonderful stay at Archers Cottage. The cottage is very clean and tidy with newly updated bathrooms and lovely powerful showers. Good size bedrooms, very useful to have our own showers and toilets too. The garden is a good size with a huge bbq which we put to good use on a sunny evening! Only area for improvement would be that the garden is not fully secure to the side so we had to keep an eye on our dogs/put them on lead whilst they were outside. Fantastic location, a short walk into the village town centre with a tasty bakery, pub, fish and chip shop and quaint shops for souveni...more
We had the pleasure of staying at Butts Farm for four nights in June.We were a party of 8 adults and were very comfortable with the accommodation and facilities. We had some minor issues after the first night that were dealt with immediately and in such a friendly and professional manner. The weather stayed dry and we were lucky enough to be able to use the bbq.One thing to point out the two hobs are electric and was not easy to work out how to control. All 8 of us would definitely recommend a stay at Butts Farm and we would definitely like to return in the near future.
A lovely house located ideally to be able to access some lovely walks. Winch come is a great place, very relaxed and not full of bus loads of tourists. The house is in good condition but there are some jobs that need to be done before I would say it was in perfect order but this is only decoration that is required in some areas.
Really enjoyed our two night stay. A perfect base for exploring all that the Cotswolds has to offer. Sudeley Castle is well worth a visit and such a bonus to have the entrance fee included in the cost of the stay!! We shall definitely return!!
Clean, cosy and characterful property, conveniently located in a lovely and bustling town. The accommodation was tastefully decorated and well equipped with everything we needed.
Lovely setting and beautifully quiet. Nice cottage too. Having paid nearly £ 150 extra for the Covid clean we expected it to be spotless. However we felt the need to wipe out one of the fridges before use and the family bathroom still had hair in the shower trap. The freezer was iced up on arrival and the middle drawer impossible to get open. We managed to put our frozen items in the top drawer but when we went to use ice cream it was liquid and had to be thrown away. Apparently they were aware of a problem with the freezer but thought previous visitors hadn’t shut the door properly. The ...more
We loved staying in this old cottage that has been beautifully decorated. The owners are very friendly. The location is excellent and it was good to be a short walk from the pub. Definitely recommend.
We had booked this cottage for a family wedding, which then had to move. We kept the bookings to have a family get together anyway, and we are glad we did. The cottage was lovely and a great place to stay. Our family were staying in other cottages close by so this was great for us to get together each night. We enjoyed Sudeley Castle, which was only a short way away, and it was very welcome to have the entry included with the accommodation cost. A great stay in a lovely cottage.
For a great price, you can stay very close to the heart of Winchcombe and Sudeley Castle. The property could do with some love and you should prepare yourself for a hideous, old brown carpet but you can't beat it for price!
A well presented property with excellent accommodation. The garden is beautifully presented. Parking is adequate but tricky for larger vehicles. We enjoyed our stay at Suncroft.
Very pleasant stay. Pro's : spacious for 2 people, accepted dogs, very well equipped with everything that you would need. 2 bathrooms, 2 single beds in one bedroom, one very large double in another bedroom with ensuite. Upstairs was the comfortable main living area with kitchen, comfy sofas, log burner and dining table. Cons : some upgrading required, very very close to a main road so was noisy, no direct access to garden without going downstairs and out the front door. Garden needed a bit of a tidy up. We enjoyed our stay but would try and find somewhere that wasn't quite as close to the...more
Me, my husband and 7 month old baby had a wonderful stay in this cottage. It was perfect location for exploring the area. It had everything we needed and more. We were very warm during the night so bring a fan if you tend to get warm and visit during warm weather. Highly recommend and would stay again. Very professional, thank you!
Stable Cottage is superbly well equipped with amazingly good quality fixtures and fittings. We had nothing at all to fault and can only highly recommend it. The location is fantastic for dog walks from the door and sightseeing the local area. The quiet pub beer garden literally 20 yards away can only be a real bonus, serving great food and beer.We would definitely stay again.
Equipped beautifully. Perfect for a short stay with children. Very grateful for the laundry tablets and washing machine, dishwashers etc. Made for a very easy break. Style of the cottage is gorgeous. Spot on. Only thing I'd change to make it comfy for autumn and winter break is a bigger arm chair in the lounge. Love the kids bubble bath and big touches like the incredible hydrangeas in kitchen. Really stunning. Will be returning.
Perfect experience - the house and the location are absolutely fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay!!
Perfect home from home cottage - in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK. Excellent access to the town of Winchcombe and all that the Cotswolds has to offer.
Lovely cottage in a great location just right for a short break. Very well appointed and spotlessly clean on arrival.
Approaching the Gatehouse, you immediately get that satisfactory feel that you have made a good choice for your stay. A large plot provides ample parking for our two cars and is attractively presented with nice shrubs and cut lawns. The property itself provided well furnished accommodation with an excellent range of amenities and a good supply of basic foods and toiletries. We spent a very relaxed 4 days at the property which provided us with an ideal location for the activities we like to do. Overall an excellent stay at a lovely characterful property.
This apartment is well situated with a lovely view down into the courtyard and, from the bedroom, the sounds and a glimpse of the river. The bedrooms were excellent - comfy beds, and the kitchen well supplied. I would have liked to be able to turn the fan off in the bathroom but it was a good size and well appointed and very clean. Downstairs it had comfortable sofas and a really well equipped kitchen but the table and some of the paintwork needs a little attention. It was wonderful to be able to go to Sudeley Castle for free. I would definitely stay here again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at South Winds. The cottage is spacious and very comfortable, perfect for our party of 4 adults and 2 children. The well equipped kitchen/dining area was really lovely with patio doors opening out onto the rear garden - we were lucky to have gorgeous weather and the sun was on the garden all day long. The cottage's location is within a quiet residential cul-de-sac which was very peaceful, but it is only a 15 minute walk into the bustling, beautiful village of Bourton-on-the-water. We were pleased that we did not have to worry about finding a car parking...more
After the initial disappointment of finding many parts of kitchen and bathroom unclean, we felt the property was much smaller and poorly equipped compared to your publicity and photos. However, the location is great and it is very quiet which is often hard to find. So, very basic and tired feeling decor but a I can imagine it's perfect for a small family.
Everything 5 only complaint could do with handrail in shower as found it very slippery, entrance to Castle with house key very handy
Clean, beautiful cottage for a perfect family stay. Well equipped and location was so good - close to restaurants, cafes etc.
We had a wonderful time in Sudeley Guest Cottage. It was in an extremely convenient position -a few minutes walk to visit the castle and was very warm and cosy in the cold June weather. We found the WiFi was excellent and one of our party a journalist worked from there and watched Netflix in his spare time. The furnishings and curtains were typical for the age of the cottage, the bathrooms kitchen and showers were especially well appointed and the beds were comfortable. The views across the back garden were breathtaking. We love the castle and grounds which was as beautiful as ever and the exhibitio...more
Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Only 5 min walk to Winchcombe. Would recommend Wesley’s to eat
Nice enough house but needs very thorough deep clean, disappointed that workmen around during our stay. Hot tub lovely asset to the house, good location.
Great accommodation with good local restaurants and pubs. Trout from local trout farm was very tasty.
Good sized cottage with all modern amenities and high quality decor, furniture and equipment. Quiet location with a walled garden and seating area. Plenty of room, parking was easy and plenty of spaces. Perfect base for walks in the area, as well as easy walk into Winchcombe. In fact, the whole experience was so great, we are returning in September. The only area to address is the garden furniture, which needs a coat of varnish and some screws tightening up; a small detail, but would complete the perfection. The info pack in the cottage is really useful with local information and walkin...more
Overall we had a very nice stay at Amber Cottage, we found the cottage comfortable and well equipped, I have to praise the owner for the pots, pans, plates and glasses etc, everything had been thought of in advance. The open plan layout works well, with two of us staying we had a very relaxed time while also taking time to go to many of the local sites, great access to Gloucester, Cirencester, Bristol (Air museum) and lots of Cotswold locations. We both got what we wanted from the holiday and came back refreshed and happy with our stay. This is also extremely well situated for the 417 Bike Par...more
We had a lovely stay at Pilgrim Cottage. The house is much bigger than we expected with plenty of space for 8 adults. Lovely house with beautiful views and garden. Would definitely recommend.
Great cottage in lovely Tetbury. Well decorated and very comfortable. Would suggest maybe best for 2 people from the bedroom storage of most drawers in top bedroom and most hanging in lower bedroom but ok for 4 if you can manage with that as there are 2 bathrooms. Kitchen storage smallish so again fine for 2 or if eating out part of the time and not big meals in. Stairs quite tight so not for infirm I’d suggest. Tetbury is lovely and well located. Cirencester nearest biggish town. Lovely stay overall. Would definitely return.
Relaxed and quiet rural position apart from when cows/sheep were being loaded or unloaded in haulage yard next door.
An amazing property, fabulous location and perfect for families and friends to share. Every need catered for in a modern meets old world setting. We all loved both house and village of Winchcombe and are ready to book our next visit already! Great value for money and would highly recommend!
We loved the quirky, spacious, well equipped house. Beautiful, individual decor. Very private. Idyllic walks from the house. Perfect for our family get together. If we had to pick a negative I would say maybe the lane leading to the house - long and tricky to negotiate. Maybe some blinds in the annex would help if using that space for sleeping. All in all a fabulous holiday though, thank you.
Great location. Only a few minutes walk to town. Country walks on the doorstep. Clean cottage but it lacked somewhere to place a suitcase, we had to keep it on the floor. I think it was expensive considering there is no private garden and you share a terrace with neighbours on either side but then every holiday is expensive at the moment.
We all enjoyed our stay at lakeside house . The property was ideally located for pub , walks and a trip to Cheltenham ! The garden provided good space for us to eat and also relax in the sun as well as use our pop up badminton set . The house even jn 30 degree heat outside remained cool . The kitchen was spacious with good facilities . We would love to go back
We had a fantastic stay lovely 4 nights, our children are 4 and enjoyed all the space. The barn is very spacious.
We arrived for a week’s stay during a mini heatwave in summer 2021. It was immediately noticeable how warm the whole property was. Unfortunately, to add to the heat, the electric towel warmer in the bathroom had been accidentally left on which made the bedroom swelteringly hot. We enquired about the possibility of a fan for the bedroom but unfortunately none were available. Even with all the doors and windows left open through the night, the temperature in the property made it very difficult to get to sleep throughout the whole week. The property itself has been done to such a high...more
Very nice well equipped clean cottage. Would have no hesitation recommending to others. The only negative during our stay was the failure of the plumber to turn up to fix the radiator in the double bedroom. Very cold!!
This little cottage has been furnished and equipped with care and thought; some lovely extras; gorgeous eco cleaning products, fab pillows, really comfy beds, Vertuo nespresso machine. Only marked down comfort as the sofa's are a bit tired now. Enclosed garden with BBQ and bench seating was lovely and dog friendly. Being on a farm dust and bugs needed clearing away regularly, and for this particular cottage rear access was a bit of an issue as this was the only area not landscaped and gravelled. All other access points front and back to other cottages were immaculate. Bidford on Avon is a...more
Walkley wood cottage was lovely. Gave us a great base to explore the Cotswolds. Would recommend this property
Stayed here for over a month and the cottage was a perfect base from which to explore the Cotswolds. I’d highly recommend it.
Kitchen was lovely, and surrounding area was gorgeous. Not a far drive from neighbouring, bigger villages. Cant fault the cottage and experience apart from the cleanliness, there were cobwebs and spiders everywhere and the barbecue looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a while. The value for money was fantastic considering the location though. Overall a nice stay.
Warm, cosy cottage although could do with some structural repairs ( window and front door ) . Made to feel very welcome by owner .
The property whilst well appointed is poorly maintained. Electrical problems requiring electrician on arrival, a broken window and a massive fly infestation throughout the property. Cobwebs and layers of dust on light fittings in bathrooms and mouse droppings appearing overnight on ground floor. The dining chairs shown in the photograph have been replaced by a mixture of different rickety wooden chairs. Worst was the fly infestation that resulted in sweeping up dead flies in the kitchen 3 times a day, with dead flies falling throughout the property. Some of the bedroom chairs were also ve...more
We had a lovely stay at the Old Post Office. The garden was gorgeous and was a lovely place to be in the sunshine. In general the house is definitely a bit tired and dated. It’s in need of a very deep clean and we were disappointed that one of the beds had not been made up for us and there were no tea towels.
Nice house in quiet Tetbury for a short getaway from the busy cities. Comfortable enough for a group of friends or family.
Lovely location but we found that downstairs had not really been cleaned well as spider webs everywhere. We had to Hoover these up. It felt as though no one had stayed here. However we had to phone Stella as a problem with the drains. She was super efficient and resolved the problem immediately. She did say that the place had only been empty a day. We understood that as a country location you would have spiders but after hoovering we saw only one or two during the week.
