A lovely little woodland cottage near Glencoe. Bluebell Cottage is a two bedroom, 2 bathroom luxury cottage which is perfect for an escape to the highlands or a base for touring and sightseeing. With many luxury touches including a luxury hot tub, contemporary log burning stove, 2 person bath with mood lighting, high spec kitchen, ECO Air Source and underfloor heating in the bathroom, it offers the romance of a country escape combined with all the modern luxuries we come to expect these days. Egyptian Cotton linens and fluffy towels together with free Wifi and Freeview Satelite TV on 52 inch Smart TV in the lounge, complete the package. Surrounded by endless things to see and do you'll be booking a return trip before you leave! Award winning seafood and other restaurants are a great excuse for not making use of the kitchen during your stay!

The purpose of our visit was to get a feeling about the Scottish countryside, Scottish hospitality and to trailrun on the highlands. Bluebell provided us with an excellent location to realize all our aims. It is a tranquil place to relax, convenient as a base for short excursions in the surroundings. The house was clean upon our arrival, very comfortable, very well equipped, above the standards - highly recommended by us (family of 4). The welcome surprises, the bathroom accessories added a lot to the overall experience.

Really nice and very well-equipped cottage close to Glencoe. Two bathrooms were very much appreciated by our party. Hot tub was a luxury bonus. Owner was on hand to answer any queries. Definitely an upmarket option in the area (hence the price) but well worth it for a short stay during our road trip around Scotland.

We recently stayed at the cottage for my daughters wedding. The cottage was perfect. Well appointed and very comfortable with all the amenities you could wish for. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to anyone intending to visit the area. Plus the owner was lovely!

Nicely build house with lots of atmosphere. Perhaps to full with the giant sized furniture but all over a nice, clean and comfortable stay.

Some “first aid” in the fridge and cookies and fudge made it very personal. Thanks!

Bluebell cottage was a wonderful place for us to visit the Glencoe area while exploring Scotland. The home is clean, tastefully decorated and extremely well kept. The beds, pillows and linens were very comfortable. The location was perfect for us who were visiting the Fort William and Glencoe areas. There is much to do and see in this area and you will not want to leave. We felt we had everything we needed and wanted for a pleasurable stay.

We have just returned from another wonderful visit to Bluebell Cottage, Glencoe. Everything was as per our previous visits, spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The owner Mary really thinks of everything and each time we have been has put more and more into the cottage to make the guests as comfortable as possible. We really would not stay anywhere else in this area.

The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped, with a good size fridge freezer, microwave, coffee machine etc. Hot tub, bath and shower were all excellent. Although adjacent to the owners property we found our privacy was respected throughout, and felt the space was our own. Broadband was strong enough to stream Netflix etc, useful on rainy days. The area is beautiful, and the cottage provided a great base to explore.
Would recommend nearby Lochleven Seafood cafe, and also Highland Titles Nature Reserve for a gentle walk.

Brilliant albeit a short at the cottage. It's well furnished - in fact no expenses have been spared to furnish it to such a high standard. So comfortable and clean. It was like home to home and therefore would definitely recommend it. Book early because once it's gone, it's gone!

Booked at the last minute and glad we did!. Having driven through Glen Coe for years without stopping, heading towards the hills for walking or climbing. Decided to have an short break away and after looking at several alternatives booked Bluebell Cottage.

The cottage is an excellent standard, clean, cozy and welcoming. The hot tub is something that we’ve never tried before but is now something that we’re considering buying :)

No traffic noise, close to the Ballachulish Hotel for meals( which is also excellent) and a log fire included.

Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to getaway from everything for a few days. Overall a fabulous experience.

This is a charming and comfortable little cottage with fabulous surroundings. We spent a few days very relaxed, which we needed after the Covid lockdown in a big city like Barcelona. The hot-tub was really great!
Mary welcomed us warmly and helped us with everything we needed.

This is a fantastic cottage located at Ballachulish. Upon arrival it was found spotlessly clean and everything in working order. The fixtures and fittings are high standard and you feel we’re sourced specifically to make the guests feel like that they staying in upmarket accommodation. Comfortable beds, lovely linen. Mary is a wonderful host and she goes to a lot of effort to ensure your stay is memorable. We are very fussy when we choose where to stay and this was our third visit and we will be back again.



Location and cottage were excellent, high standard of internal finishes, equipment and utensils.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bluebell Cottage. There was plenty of outdoor activities literally on our doorstep. Several hotels close by and could easily be reached on foot.

Bluebell cottage is a fabulous place to stay. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the equipment you would need, the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the hot tub sizeable. The wood burner was another highlight for us, and made for cozy evenings when the midgies drove us indoors. The location is great - well positioned for some lovely walks or runs, but also a very short drive to various beauty spots. Mary was a very responsive host, not at all intrusive. She was very helpful with our strange request for extra ramekins and brought over a selection for us to use! Overall we had a fabulous time and it was worth the wait!

Located in a wooded area with glimpses through the trees across a golf course of the mountains beyond, Bluebell Cottage is well situated near Ballachulish between Fort William and Oban.
Highly specified and luxurious you will be comfortable whatever the weather. Air conditioning both upstairs and down, you can keep the windows closed on the warmest days if you wish; a wood burning fire provided for the colder months.
Although provided with beds for four, you may find the living room snug for that number of adults.
Plenty of utensils are supplied if you wish to cook whilst staying, even kitchen scales. The Highland Soap Company products throughout set the high class tone of this accommodation, don't forget to use the hot tub whilst you're staying to sooth the stresses of life away!

I stayed here for 4 nights in June - a perfect location for exploring and one of the most scenic drives (up through Glencoe) that I've ever seen. The cottage is really well equipped and lots of nice extra touches to make you feel at home (toiletries, salt, pepper, oil, water etc). The weather wasn't great (typical Scotland) but there was a lovely outdoor deck area to sit with your morning coffee and a covered hot tub to relax in. Even in June I made use of the log burner a couple of times which just made the property feel even more cosy and idyllic. The host has clearly gone to a lot of effort to provide guests with a full 5* experience. I'll definitely return.

Bluebell Cottage is a cosy retreat excellently located for exploring this part of the Scottish Highlands.

The property is well specified and was spotlessly clean.

There is a variety of walks directly from the door up into forests or to the top of several Munros.

We had hired e-bikes for the week from Fort William. Sustrans 78 cycle route is accessible directly from the cottage and provides a fantastic opportunity to see the area. This is a major asset of the location.

Lots of great restaurants within a short distance.

If you are looking for a weekend away or a short break, this is the place for you. Absolutely stunning cottage in a great location for a nice relaxing break. The cottage it’s self is really well equipped and well maintained. Would definitely come back in a heartbeat.

when we had to cancel America as our holiday we luckily came back to bluebell!, from the fantastic location to even the highland soaps it cant be better, this time it was a belated 60th birthday treat and couldn't have been better from all the local walks to a day trip to Oban the location couldn't be better, the log burner every night is a boon to all (well that and the hot tub)

just an amazing location and Mary is an absolute star and cant be anymore helpful, will we be back

This as our second visit to this lovely cottage. It is situated on a quiet lane in a beautiful setting surrounded by woodland within the grounds of the owners property. Fully equipped and spotlessly clean it is a joy to stay at. Mary the owner is on hand to provide help and advice and is a perfect host. We will without doubt return.

As a family of four, we had a fantastic time at Bluebell Cottage recently. We loved the hot tub and luxurious facilities, and there wasn’t anything that hadn’t been thought of. We felt at home with the fluffy towels, soft bed linen and fabulous toiletries and we also appreciated the log burner ready to be lit. The cottage was well located for day trips exploring the local area including Glencoe, Fort William and Glenfinnan viaduct.

We loved the cottage and would highly recommend, and will hopefully return again soon.

We booked this holiday as a result of our 60th birthday celebrations being cancelled. Well this certainly more than made up for that disappointment. we booked the cottage before the lockdown was lifted and were absolutely delighted with the condition and cleanliness of the cottage, Mary couldn't have been any more helpful. The cottage itself has everything you could ever wish for for a break and the toiletries and such from the highland soap company a great touch, we brought all the usual bits and bobs for a cottage away but these were already dealt with and waiting for us.
The hot tub is ready running and covered and the walk minimal.
The kitchen equipment is great and you want for nothing

Considering booking again for October this year as I can't see how this would be improved

My partner & I had a great time staying at Mary’s property, she was very communicative via. email on the lead up to your visit - nothing was too much - & she was extremely welcoming on arrival!

The cottage was beautiful, decorated to a very high standard & equipped with absolutely everything needed for a break away. The amenities provided are faultless & the hot tub with mood lighting is a brilliant addition.

We had a great time away but the only one fault we had was the downstairs bedroom was absolutely freezing, no matter how much we tried to heat it up beforehand it just didn’t so that was a slight inconvenience but no big deal!

We had a great time staying here, & would recommend to anyone travelling to the Highlands to give it a chance, as it’s great value for money :-).

Couldn't wish for more with this rental property.
The quality of the fixtures, fittings & furniture is very high, as is the cleanliness and the customer service.

2 really well designed bathrooms, and a lovely kitchen too, all with high-end appliances.

Free logs for the lovely log burner, but you don't need many as it's so well insulated.
Added to all this is the fact it has a hot-tub!

The cottage was so very beautiful, on arrival our host met us and explained how everything worked. The cottage was well equipped and very homely it was not cheap but but was very welcoming and was just what we needed. Would highly recommend this cottage to our friends. My partner, his parents and I had the joy of staying in Bluebell cottage and were in no way disappointed!

When we arrived we were given a warm welcome from Mary, our host. She gave us a guided tour of the cottage, explaining how to light the wood burner, activate the heating, the controls on the hot tub and how to log on to the WiFi. The welcome pack of wine, crisps and biscuits was appreciated after our drive. A small supply of kitchen condiments are also available (tea, coffee, cooking oil, herbs etc). The cottage and hot tub were immaculately clean as well. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Tv/dvd/books and a selection of board games were also provided.

I loved the touches of supporting local businesses - highland hand soap, moisturising cream, shampoo, conditioner and shower gels (also all provided with the cottage, saved lugging lots if bottles from home!) and a welcome folder packed with ideas of what to do during your stay. I also the thought to the environment with the loo roll from the company who gives a c*ap. Recycled and less plastic packaging.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage and wonderful setting. Cannot wait to return!

We visited bluebell cottage with a friend just before Xmas. What a little gem of a place, if you are looking for a cosy and luxurious stay then I can not recommend this place high enough. The furnishings are of a very high standard even down to the soap. The cottage was super clean and had everything and more you can think of, even some lovely wine and nibbles left out by the owner. No hidden extras such as bring your own towels or extra for logs for the fire etc. Can’t wait to go back. Mary the owner could not have been more helpful if she tried.

We really enjoyed our stay. Mary is a perfect hostess. The cottage is quiet, the beds are so comfortable. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and the cottage is in the perfect location for exploring the area. We would definitely recommend this cottage.

Despite rather changeable September weather, we had a fantastic holiday and managed to get some great walking in. The service is first class and the cottage is a real home from home with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Location is great as is the local sea food. The wood burner was particularly welcome on some of the cooler evenings. A great place to holiday!

Bluebell Cottage is an easy 10, and I’m a hard grader. The house is clean and well-equipped. The deck is pleasant. The air comes through the sliding door and the skylights. The bluebells were in bloom along with other flowers. There is a wonderful walking/bike trail right behind the cottage. It is a short drive to Oban and other attractions. Mary greeted us warmly and was very helpful but not at all obtrusive. We felt welcome, safe and relaxed.

A very nice cottage in the woods in Ballachulish. Very comfy, the log burner is definitively a plus specifically with the Scottish weather. One room and one bathroom on each floor but the second bathroom has only a tub without a shower. The cottage owner lives next door but it's really not a problem, she was extremely kind and not intrusive.

We planned a long weekend break for a little skiing in the Glencoe resort and some walking in the many nearby beautiful spots. We had a great time with both activities as it is well located for both, and it was always great to come home at the end to a warming log burner (fresh logs supplied every day) and a really comfortable sofa and bed! Would definitely recommend Bluebell Cottage and we will certainly be returning in the future!

There was only two of us staying in the cottage and it felt comfortable and homely. To be honest we could have stayed downstairs all the time but slept in the upstairs bedroom for the views

The cottage was well equipped with everything you would need for doing your own cooking. There are two hotels within 15 mins walk if you don't fancy doing that

Mary supplied us regularly with wood for the log fire, which we made good use of

The only thing I would add would be a blind for the shower room

We enjoyed three wonderful days after Christmas in the beautiful Glencoe valley. Even for four people this lovely cottage had everything we could have asked for and some. The fireplace, cosy sofa, beautiful bathrooms and well equipped kitchen made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. On arrival a nice bottle of wine was waiting for us. Fire wood was provided every day. To us, bluebell cottage was the perfect base to explore this stunningly beautiful area.

Beautiful cottage. We had a weekend break, would definitely come back and stay for longer. Very comfortable and host was very accommodating, she even had the wood burner going for our arrival. Wine, biscuits and crisps were a lovely unexpected touch. Everything provided e.g. cleaning products for us and for cottage, all high quality products and even eco-friendly, which again is a lovely touch. Thank you Mary, hope to be back soon Xx

Bluebell Cottage was everything we hoped for and everything the owners promised it would be. The cottage itself is well designed, well equipped, and very nicely decorated. Every room contained the consumable supplies that you would expect from a modern, high-end self catering cottage, including the bottle of wine that greeted us as we entered. There was really nothing missing. Everything was in excellent working order - not surprising since everything was quite new - from the walk-in shower to the appliances to the heating system. Bluebell Cottage is bright and pleasant and the four adults that were in our party all enjoyed every minute of our stay.



Bluebell Cottage is a luxury warm and cosy cottage set in a wonderful location.

We loved our stay at Bluebell Cottage which is in a beautiful setting within a great location. On arrival we had a very warm welcome from the owner. The cottage is beautifully fitted out and well equipped (other than not having a tumble drier, however the owner offered to dry washing for us if needed but we didn't need to take up this offer). We can't wait to return next year!

What a find! A really luxury cottage in a wonderful setting. Wonderful local seafood that you can only dream of. Good opportunities to walk right from the cottage without the need to drive either to the forests or the coast. For days away from the locality there are many fantastic walking opportunities within 20 to 30 miles. A well stocked local coop food store provides all of the basic food and drink needs and Lochleven seafood on the north side is the bridge is great for eating in and for buying seafood for home cooking

All in all a wonderful cottage, location and of course host, Mary could not be more helpful. Can highly recommend!

Arrived for a weeks holiday in September. As soon as we arrived Mary was there to greet us. She showed us around, explained how everything worked, gave us a list of places to eat, a wealth of information about the area and was on hand if we had any questions. The beds and towels were all fluffy and new and the wood burner was a bonus on the cold nights - Mary did not even have to be asked about replenishing the logs - we came home one day and a new sack was on the porch. Our next trip to that part of the world, we would not stay anywhere else - thank you Mary, we had the most wonderful time.

Bluebell Cottage was such a wonderful place to stay during our visit to the Highlands! It is off of the main road, so it's quiet and private. Yet it's great location made it easy for us to take day trips to Fort William, Ben Nevis, Isle of Skye and Oban. The beds are so comfortable! Mary was an excellent hostess from bottled water and little snacks and wine when we arrived to tips on where to eat and things to do. Her house is literally right next door, but she gives her guests full privacy only responding to my many texts with answers to all of my questions! It was a little warm sleeping at night and we were unable to turn on the air conditioning as it was leaking. And we couldn't open the windows because of the bugs. But other than that our stay was great! We had 4 adults and had plenty of room. The upstairs is quite large and has its own bathroom but note it is a tub only with no hand-held shower. The area is absolutely gorgeous with plenty of walks, restaurants and things to do nearby. We would definitely recommend a stay at Bluebell Cottage!

We have just returned from a lovely stay in Bluebell Cottage. The cottage is beautiful - spacious yet cosy, and the owner had provided everything that we could possibly need for our stay with a lot of extra touches included which added to the experience. The cottage is a short drive to Glencoe Village and was the perfect base for us while we were staying in Glencoe.

Blue Bell Cottage is great. It really is a luxury cottage. Modern, fully equipped, warm and comfortable. There is even a dish washer, a washing machine and a nice fire place (ready to light). The beds were fantastic with soft blankets and nice linen. We definitely enjoyed our stay. The scenery of Glencoe is just incredible. We went for some beautiful hikes.

Glencoe is a beautiful place and the Bluebell cottage the perfect location where to stay. It is brand new, very well equipped for a party of 4 people. Beds, bedlinen and towels are of the finest quality what is quite enjoyable ! The house was also extremely clean. And the golf course, though small, is super nice and just next door. My husband, his brother and I spent a lovely night at the Bluebell Cottage. The two bedrooms were very comfortable, we didn't feel that one was lesser than the other. The kitchen facilities were great and we cooked a meal without any problem at all. We had a comfortable evening in the lounge area that had a very efficient wood burning stove that kept us very cosy indeed.

There was plenty of room for all three of us and if there had been four I'm sure that we would have felt the same. We would all thoroughly recommend staying here.

A really well thought out and decorated, almost new, holiday cottage with all the modern day creature comforts. Would thoroughly recommend.

A wonderful stay. We were greeted by Mary and she explained everything about her house. It was beautifully decorated with a full equipped kitchen. We cooked our food in the evening and stayed together chatting with friends. It was indeed a good stop over location before we went further north.

This is a beautiful apartment with lots of space for 2 couples and small kids. The location is good, the apartments is wonderfully done up, in perfect clean condition and is really good value for money. I will highly recommend to anybody looking for a luxurious self contained option close to Glencoe/Fort William. I would rate this one 10/10.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We were visiting with friends from the States so were restricted on what nights we could stay,so only managed one night. Mary was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was immaculately clean, warm and comfortable. Everything you might need to commence a longer stay was provided, and was more than sufficient for our short break, and included coffee, milk etc. as well as a bottle of prosecco. We wished we could have stayed longer and will try to do so again in the near future.

Bluebell Cottage is a modern and sophisticated property nestling in the foothills of Glencoe and within easy driving distance from Fort William. The open plan accommodation is spacious both downstairs and up and is well equipped throughout with modern appliances. The underfloor heating makes the property warm in the mornings and cosy in the evenings, with natural light streaming in through the large patio doors/windows. The beds are large and comfortable and you are guaranteed a peaceful night's rest amid idyllic surroundings. The décor is modern and inviting, with bursts of colour used to great affect throughout the property. Everything has been designed to the highest possible standard and the personal touches added by the owners are second to none. A superb base for touring the Highlands, this is one property that you won't want to leave at the end of your stay.
