South View provided us with the perfect location for a relaxing and mind-clearing stay. The layout of the site promotes a village feel and it cleverly shelters itself to provide the feeling that you are immersed in nature. Within short reach however are a number of wonderful beaches or countryside walks. The property itself was immaculate and perfect for our needs. The fact that we could include our dog so easily was a real plus. Fantastic on every level and we hope to go back in the not too distant future.
The photos do not do this cottage justice! The kitchen was probably the best equipped kitchen (better than my own) I have ever seen... which meant we could get creative when cooking! Milk and fresh coffee on arrival was a dream. Everyone in our family loved the restaurant- food was perfect and a reasonable price. Already planning to come back around Easter time with friends!
We loved our time at Habitat Escapes in the Cotswolds and will definitely be back. We played tennis, swam, didi bike rides, went out on the lake, did adventure walks....so much fun and the house was lovely and super cosy.
Wonderful, calm, uninterrupted views and a beautifully presented house. We had a very restful and enjoyable stay.
Beautiful house. Loved all the activities Perhaps consider a Friday to Monday time period for a weekend stay to make it value for money. Also to specify if any condiments included as wasn’t sure how much shopping to do Thanks again :-)
Flagham house was beautiful, everything inside was high end - my 7 year old said it must be a footballers house! really spacious, everything you could need in the kitchen, amazingly comfy beds. Lovely touches like some welcome coffee, milk, tea bags and fudge. In a perfect location, great views, short walk to everything. As it’s in a private area with 9 houses you get the use of an outdoor pool and gym, we used both - excellent ! Really quiet and relaxing. My only tiny moan would be the outdoor chairs and table was very dirty, so we had clean it all before using. Apart from that it was perfect...more
We went off season so paid off season prices which was amazing value for money. Condition of the house exceeded my expectations and we had a fab time.
Only had a 2 night stay to celebrate birthdays. The lodge has everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. Six of us stayed at the property and we had plenty of room to relax and enjoy ourselves. The hot tub was great. Had a problem with a bathroom extractor fan and that was dealt with nearly as soon as it was reported. The view of the lake and watching the wildlife was wonderful. Shame we couldn't have stayed for longer.
We stayed in Ria Formosa for 5 days end of October. The whole family including grandparents and our three kids aged 2, 4 and 7 had such a wonderful time. We were blown away by the contemporary decoration, the big open-space and the wonderful lake views. Kids loved jumping on the trampoline, playing golf on the amazing roof top and playing on the provided Xbox. Ria Formosa is one of the latest developments close to the entrance and 5-min from the swimming pool and restaurant. The house is about 200m away from a construction site of new houses, the noise level was minimal and did not disturb us....more
We all had a wonderful time Christmas week at Tawny House. The property was perfect...spacious, light, lovely views and excellent kitchen equipment, which made cooking enjoyable. We used the pools, which our grandsons loved, the restaurant, which we all loved and the scenery was so peaceful and calming. We enjoyed walks and bike rides and loved the attractions in the local area. We will definitely come back!
The accommodation was clean and comfortable, bright and colourful, with plenty of storage space. Everything is well laid out and spacious. it provided everything we needed including plenty of crockery and utensils. There was a nice outdoor seating area with BBQ. The heated outdoor pool is fantastic and the kids had great fun on the zip wire. We had a fantastic short break away. The only advise I would give is the outside doors and windows could do with a clean.. a few cob webs here and there, but apart from that, really lovely.
We had a wonderful long family and friends weekend at Sandpiper. The facilities in the house were excellent, there was nothing we needed that we didn’t have. We had intended to go off site one day but there was no time as there was so much for everyone at Silverlake: swimming, gym, short and long walks, wildlife, cycling, zip wire and more.
A superbly well equipped house with everything you could ask for included. Immaculately clean throughout and finished to the highest standard. Swimming pool and fitness area very well equipped - pool lovely and warm (even on December 1st). Great location for the New Forest and not too far from Bournemouth beaches.
We were really looking forward to our stay at maple house and it didn’t disappoint! We were so lucky with the weather and managed to enjoy paddle boarding on the lake as well as relaxing next to the pool followed by a bottle of bubbles on the roof terrace at the spa! If you are thinking of a place to stay where you can relax and also enjoy activities on the water then book Maple House! You won’t be disappointed.
my wife 50th birthday with our friends stayed this place, they're enjoyed and a nice comfort. driving around some small villages.
Had the most wonderful stay, made perfect by the weather. Miles of dog walking on the doorstep. Peace and quiet. The apartment was perfect apart from the camp bed, highchair and armchair stacked up in the corner. Not a big deal, but just a comment if you’re looking for improvements. Beds were very comfortable, as were the sofas. The balcony and view over the lakes was gorgeous. The shop and restaurant were only open at the weekend which I feel we should have been told about. The spa and pools were fabulous although I wonder if it would be too crowded in high season. Would highly recommend. Whe...more
We communicated with Habitat Escapes prior to our arrival with our special requests, they intern communicated with us and confirmed that our requests had been fulfilled. The house and facilities were perfect allowing us to have a peaceful and stress free weeks holiday. We, a family of six adults, two toddlers and two babies had our own space. The ground floor living accommodation which opened onto a secure decked area was perfect. The only thing that let the holiday down was the restricted opening times of the onsite restaurant/shop, Ballihoo. It advertised it was open on Sunday until 5pm how...more
Willow Warbler is a very tastefully furnished apartment with everything one needs for a weekend away. My only comment is that the beds in both rooms are too small.
Great house in a great location. Ideal for family weekends away, loads of activities for all ages and plenty of space.
Set in a lovely location, with stunning views. This holiday home was perfect for us. Very relaxing place to stay. 10/10 Have already recommended this property to other people
Three day stay in this three bed, three bathroom house with new,top quality furniture, fixtures and equipment. Very tastefully designed and easy to look after. On a private 600 acre site with other eco houses nearby, all safely inside the security gates with a key pad entry. It only opened in 2017 and there are 32 luxurious properties built around open water, grassy areas and woodland. When everything is more established it will be amazing and we loved exploring the footpaths and hidden places. The house would be very cosy in cooler weather and on sunny days opens up onto a lovely patio compl...more
Loved our time in Silverdale. We enjoyed the surroundings, the wildlife, the views of the lake and the convenience of the spa.
We all enjoyed our holiday at Lower Mill, and Endless Skies provided us with the perfect accommodation.
Bellewater is a spacious contemporary home overlooking a stunning lake at Lower Mill. It was immaculately clean, warm and well equipped for a relaxing stay. The only suggestion would be for larger beds, the master bedroom has space for this and the current double is on the small side (comfy though). Definitely book spa treatments and reserve a table at Ballihoo prior to visiting as they both get booked up!
Loved it. Will look forward when the place is a bit more mature in terms of further pathways for walking, however the property, cleanliness, quality, location was outstanding.
This is our second visit to habitat escapes but our first stay at 1 Somerford Lodge. The property is very modern and welcoming with a beautiful master bedroom on the ground floor. Overall a lovely relaxing stay with gorgeous views.
We really enjoyed our stay at Silverlake. The house was well prepared and ready for our arrival, already stocked with complimentary coffee, tea, milk etc. The property was well appointed and was probably no more than 12 months old. We have stayed at the sister location of Lower Mill in the Cotswolds - Silverlake is much better designed with ample space between the homes and individual parking. The area around the estate is lovely countryside but with the added attraction of the coast only being five miles away, the nearest seaside resort being Weymouth. My only real disappointment was that the...more
- Great house and great space - no doubt about that - Comfortable, modern bedrooms and showers - Great hottub - The place was extrememly grubby with spider webs and dead insects everywhere - inside and outside. Needs a deep clean - Dishwasher is poor so had to hand clean everything - Only one spray of surface cleaner left, 3 dishwasher tablets and no cloths - Wifi is patchy at best on the ground and top floor - Worth over £1000 for 3 nights? Not in that state.
Lovely apartment in great setting. Our kids loved the swimming pool which was absolutely beautiful. We loved been able to watch the sunset after they were in bed!
Great location, excellent property, family friendly, safe and beautiful grounds...will be back again soon!
We thoroughly enjoyed a weekend break with friends at Barn Owls. The accommodation was perfect for two families of four. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. The weather was amazing and we were able to enjoy the watersports and countryside.
Our family had a wonderful weekend at the Swallows. The house was so lovely and well presented. It was perfect for all of us, our ages from 17 months to 70 years. Safe and comfortable for everyone. The separate childrens play room was very popular with our 4 and 6 year olds. The main living area on the first floor enabled us to all be together and the views from the rear balcony were stunning. The front balcony was not quite so comfortable as it could possible benefit from a thorough clean to remove the bugs and webs from what looks like a bit of an invasion of bugs and spiders. However that ...more
This is a very nice house in a good position but there are a couple of unsatisfactory issues. The main bedroom on the top floor has no cupboard or wardrobe space therefore we had to live out of our suitcase for the week, also there are no blinds on the main window so light floods in early morning and the room gets unbearable hot when the sun is out. There is no grill for the oven and we did continually run out of spoons and plates.
A beautiful house in a stunning location. The only criticism is that some parts of the house needed a little maintenance due to wear and tear (shower screens, bathroom doors etc).
We stayed at Bittern Reeds with our 4 small children (7,5 and twins 2). The accommodation was clean and spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved the balcony overlooking the lake from the open plan kitchen/sitting room giving us beautiful views. We enjoyed staying on Lower Mill Estate. There are few cars driving around so it is lovely for the kids cycling and scooting. We loved the swimming pools and we enjoyed having a drink outside the café while the kids played in the small playground or on the football pitch and made friends with other kids staying at the same time. Beavers Retreat was not very inviting from the outside but it was ideal for outside living and had wonderful views of the Lake. Super Barbecue. The lay out with only one bathroom for three rooms, was disappointing and the accommodation on the top floor was limited. We had delightful time and the kitchen was great with everything to hand, you could possibly need.
We had a lovely stay at Hazy Blue and loved the Lower Mill Estate. The apartment suited our needs as a family of 5 well, and once the kids were in bed, we enjoyed time on the balcony overlooking the lake. The apartment is in a great location for all the amenities there are on site and we would definitely stay there again.
We rented this property for the Spring Bank Holiday weekend for our party of 6 adults and 4 children, and found it perfect for our requirements. The views from the living room and balcony were green and tranquil and the house was more than comfortable throughout, with very adequate bedrooms, bathrooms and en-suites plus a well-equipped kitchen. A big bonus was the roof area with a large table and plenty of seating plus a BBQ and safe play area for the children. We were close to the spa and enjoyed the facilities - it was lovely to have decently-heated pools indoors and out, and there were s...more
Our first visit and the property was worked extremely well for three generations. Perhaps one of the rooms on the ground floor could be twin bedded. well equipped house , lovely terraces with comfy furniture and fabulous views.
We had a fantastic time at Lower Mill estate. The house was amazing and very well equipped. The only difficulty we had was finding the property in the dark. I appreciate the fact there are a lack of lights around for environmental reasons but that does make it quite difficult to locate your property if you arrive in the dark. The spa and swimming pool facilities are fantastic. We will be back!
We chose Habitat Escapes after a recommendation and were not disappointed. The house, 118, was ideal for our large family gathering. We all brought bikes, good fun and safe to ride around. We also arranged, through Habitat Escapes, for caterers to come in and cook a meal, which was superb. A great place for a special break.
A bijou property in centre of Silverlake. Although there are two bedrooms there is only one bathroom and that is en-suite to the main bedroom. The second bedroom has bunk beds so probably ok for two small children that would use the parents bathroom (shower only). It was great for a weekend stay and we enjoyed the walks, the spa and the general area.
The lower mill estate is a joy to stay and relax in this mad wold of ours. We could stay forever thank you all for a wonderful few days kind regards Carole and family
The house was beautiful but could have been cleaner. There was stuff in freezer from previous tenants. Location is beautiful. On site shop very expensive . On site gym worth a visit. A safe environment for families. Definitely worth a visit
21 of us gathered for a special birthday split over two houses. The booking system and assistance received throughout the process was good. The house provided all we expected and more. It was a most successful weekend supported by the local spa and playground areas.
We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at Bittern Lodge. We were a family of 9 and we couldn't have asked for more. The house was very well equipped and there was plenty to keep the whole family entertained, ie an amazing library and selection of of films to watch. On top of that we were blessed with fantastic weather.
Tischler House is an absolutely fantastic house set on the edge of Somerford lagoon with direct access to the water. The property also has it's own swimming pool. The view across the lagoon from the house and garden is great, and would be especially spectacular when migrating birds are on the move in the autumn. The house was very tidy and clean when we arrived and well appointed with modern kitchen and bathrooms. Having the private pool was great, but the pool cover could do with replacing to make it a bit easier to cover the pool at night. Really enjoyed the week, would visit again.
We stayed in the Tally-ho, which was a nicely decorated spacious house fitted out with everything that you need on a self catering holiday. We enjoyed walking around the lakes but it would be nice to return when the building on the other side of the site has been completed, as I think that this would encourage more wildlife to visit the area. The building work didn't impact on the half of the site that we were staying in though in other respects. We took advantage of the canoes, paddle boards and bikes, which was fun. My daughter & her boyfriend used the swimming pool, my daughter enjoyed ...more
The flat was well presented and very clean but £575 was very expensive for what it was when you can compare against Centre Parcs. Customer service and help when booking was exceptional and everyone was I incredibly helpful but we were disappointed with the vale for money element
Top class facilities in a mixed aged party.Very clean property with everything you need to make stay very enjoyable.
Overall the house was lovely. Great location and beautiful view. Would have been nice to have some basics in the house. Tin foil / cling film / cooking oil. Cooking pots and pans for large group were not great. Non stick pans would be useful.
We had a really good stay in the Cotswolds on Lower Mill Estate. The complex itself was very nice, lots to do for kids and a good cafe/bar/restaurant. The apartment was good and cleaned well but both the sofa and carpet have quiet a few staines from previous visits - the BBQ is also heavily rusted and unusable. All in all a very good stay, service from Habitat was great and we will come back, just maybe to a different apartment.
We enjoyed a wonderful week of family time in Reflections at the end of May. The house is modern & spacious with great entertaining space. The top floor gets very hot (even in fairly moderate Spring sunshine) so we had to get all the windows & doors open when we arrived & every time the sun came out. The only slight annoyance was the size of the fridge. The size & capacity of the property warrants a tall spacious fridge but there is just one under counter one plus a freezer of the same size which was fine. There is an additional small fridge which has been added as an extra in an awkward spo...more
We had a lovely weekend celebrating birthdays across three generations. The house was great with plenty of space for six adults and four young children and we really enjoyed the swimming pools, especially the lovely warm outdoor pool in March! Great for an out of season break but imagine it might get very busy in the pools and the restaurant at peak periods. Only problem with the house was that some of the bedrooms were very hot but then no heat in the master bedroom and bathroom. Very well equipped house but would have been good to know in advance that there was a Nespresso machine and ha...more
Chose this house as it had the right number of bedrooms (5) for our family trip. Its a well presented house with a fully equipped kitchen. Great location for nature walks which we all enjoyed. Will be visiting again.
We stayed here with our two children and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is awesome with the view from the roof terrace really relaxing when we finally got a break from the children for the night. Lower Mills is a lovely, relaxing place to stay we all enjoyed the swimming pool and the estate itself as it was so quiet and the children enjoyed looking at nature and exploring the Miss Mouse trail.
We had an amazing time, view and facilities were great. Beds and sofas were so comfy. very quiet around the area even though the weekend was busy. 6 of us all fitted round the table as I had read a review saying it was small but 6 adults were fine. Only thing was few of the sky channels didn't work and some of the bowls, plates and glasses were dirty and put away in the cupboards. Hot tub was great fun and lovely to relax in. We would stay here again.
Well appointed holiday home in a great location with private pool facility, gym and sauna. Unique design overlooking the lake on the edge of a nature reserve.
Variously 5 adults and 3 babies stayed during the first bank holiday week in May in this lovely house. It was warm and well equipped and it’s location good.Note- The garden does not go all the way down to the lake as the shoreline and farthest lawn belong to next door. Nevertheless we had ducks and moorhen visiting the deck to the delight of the children. Apart from one or 2 maintenance issues everything worked ok..Kitchen chairs looked nice but were not very stable..and kitchen tap regularly drenched the operator.. The immediate area of Lower Mill Estate is very well maintained, has plenty o...more
Some feedback: Bathrooms were well equipped. Beds very comfy and great to have large TV in master suite. It would be useful to have instructions how to use the remote control for the blinds and knowing which is bedroom 1 and 2. Nice location- first time I have stayed in the Nine. great that main outdoor pool is open out of season. BBQ grill is very rusty so we did not use it. lots of mosquitos - but not much you can do about that
This is the sixth year in a row that we've visited the Lower Mills Estate for an extended-family weekend stay. The whole estate provides so much to do an enjoy for all ages, whether you just want to relax or go off and adventure in the local area. The Skydeck is a wonderfully large house with beautiful views out over one of the lakes - great for socialising in a serene environment, and despite the British weather this year, we still managed to enjoy some time up on the skydeck itself. We always go home every year with big smiles and lots of wonderful memories.
Nice property with excellent views spoilt a little by the close proximity of adjacent buildings with neighbours sitting on adjacent balconies only feet away and able to hear clearly all conversations and see into the property. Patio was not cleaned and this had to be requested as it was filthy as was the BBQ Extractor did not work in the bathroom and several of the insect panels on the doors were broken Overall a great site and great place for a family weekend however the big brother CCTV camera observing us in the hallway was not appreciated Well equipped accommodation and recommended...more
Loved our cosy compact cottage. Had everything we needed. 3 bedrooms. Perfect location. WiFi was a bit touch and go but otherwise perfect.
We are buying Little Acorns because it is what we want. There are quite a few improvements to be made, inside and out. While the inside was immaculate, the outside had sadly been forgotten, with the terraces very dirty and overgrown downstairs, which was hopefully rectified after our stay. The cleanliness inside was excellent, but outside poor. That was the same for comfort and condition. It is a lovely house which we will make better. It was a wonderful base within the resort, and for exploring further afield.
The Apartment was divine, beautifully appointed with great outside space. Sadly the bedrooms only have doors no windows so at night you cannot open anything to let air in and it was very hot, and the beds are only doubles so it was quite uncomfortable if you are used to a bigger bed. The lady did get us a fan for the other nights which helped a bit, otherwise it was all wonderful.
Great family weekend in Water Park. Lovely venue for getting together with all ages and house provided a perfect base.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our week at Puffin House and we would recommend this property to other travellers just be mindful that minor items can be a bit irritating. For example, the WiFi is slow and doesn't cover all the rooms (although they were in the process of installing fibre whilst we were there); Insufficient mugs and teaspoons means washing up several times daily; couldn't find the BBQ tools so had to buy some; food storage area in the kitchen very poor as all the cupboards had been filled with bowls/dishes/baking trays meaning that our stuff was all on display; the fridge is sma...more
Having lost my father quite suddenly and buried him the day before we came to Thistledown, it was the perfect escape to rest, reflect and remember. My dad would have loved it! My mum did love it! The spa was tranquil and the therapists were very compassionate. They were very accommodating when we had to change our treatment dates because we were arriving a day late. The little extras of tea and biscuits, toiletries and logs for the fire were so appreciated. We wish the circumstances had been different. However, we felt so looked after through email and telephone communication and face t...more
We found it very difficult to find this property particularly in the dark. The address was Clearwater 3, but there is no such property, it was called Somerford Nines 3. This should really be corrected. The property was spacious and clean. Everything worked except the inbuilt coffee machine which was a disappointment. Although all the cooking facilities worked, we were not used to using induction hobs, and it took a long time to work out how to operate them. There did not seem to be an instruction manual. They also would not work with the additional pots that we had brought with us. The be...more
4 adults,4 children staying for halfterm.Wonderful house, spacious with plenty of room to spread out especially fond of roof terrace.Excellent standard throughout with great ensuites and kitchen amenities.Only couple of points to mention as considering the quality throughout, the master bedroom bed was not comfortable at all as myself and wife had bad backs after only one night, and the extractor caught four of us out as we hit our heads. Otherwise had a great few days enjoying and exploring the walking/cycling trails on the estate and the two swimming pools and other activities big his with t...more
Beaumont Village at Silver Lake was a wonderful choice for early May bank holiday. The property had a few cobwebs but was otherwise very clean. The house is quite small but was fine for our family of four. Our children spent every possible minute at the outdoor play area, especially the tire swing and zip line. We had Waitrose deliver to the property as there isn't a big grocery store close by - there is small Co-Op in Warmwell. Swimming pool is heated thank goodness!
Ar £1600 for two nights stay, I expected a certain level of cleanliness and facility. Not filthy outside staircases, dirty and stained rooftop furniture, and wardrobes in the master bedroom and kitchen drawers filled with the personal possessions of the owners, thus preventing their use. We had to live out of our suitcases. Totally non-acceptable. What I had hoped would be a wonderful experience for my family to celebrate an important occasion was a complete disappointment.
The area &place were lovely but a few things let it down 1. In the main living area two of the walls were floor to ceiling glass but there was no blinds or curtains so it was like sitting in a gold fish bowl especially when it started to get dark there was no privacy 2. My granddaughter dropped a pencil which rolled under the settee when we went to retrieve I we found crisps nuts & lots of dust under the settee it looked as it had not been cleaned for some time 3. There was no signs to the children’s play area & when we did find it we found piles of pony droppings everywhere so could not l...more
A cosy and comfortable little cottage in an incredible location surrounded by wildlife. The beds are comfortable and the cottage is well supplied with all the necessaries. Beautifully quiet. Cons: wi-fi is a bit slow and unreliable and there's a weird stinginess about eg loo roll and dishwasher tablets (only four for a four-bedroom house for a week!)
The house is nice and modern, with decent furniture and the facilities in the Silverlake estate are excellent - the spa, pool, and play area in particular. We were disappointed by a few things with the house itself. Specifically: 1. The lack of a dining table and the unsuitability of the barstools for young children. 2. The limited outdoor seating on the ground terrace, and the lack of any furniture on the roof terrace. 3. The fact that the bbq is not on the property, but shared a bit away from the house 4. The limited cooking utensils- there was no potato masher, no way to make coff...more
We stayed in Dunnock House over Easter Weekend. This was not the house we had booked online; that house was apparently double booked. We appreciate that Habitat found another house for us. However, the outside area was quite dirty. We did not use the outdoor dining area at all because it was so dirty.
