Perfect location for us just outside the pretty town of Kirkcudbright. Heron View is set in beautiful countryside and there are lovely walks straight from the front door. Great views from the front and a hot tub to enjoy them. We loved the large light open plan living area where there are plenty of electric sockets for computers etc. Excellent fast Wifi. The cottage was very clean and is well equipped. Very good showers with lots of hot water (though it was a bit too hot from the taps). Good heating kept us snug on the two cold wet days we had. An excellent property in a beautiful location only a couple of miles from the town centre. The cottage is dog friendly with lots of space around it for a quick 'exercise'.
The cottage is in very good condition, just showing a slight fraying around some edges, particularly the light coloured lounge carpet - though hardly worth mentioning.
The place is well equpped with cutlery, crockery, cooking implements, etc although the frying pan was knackered! Bed linen and towels we plentiful and excellently laundered. The kitchen equipment was clean and fully functional.

Having grown up in the area but moved to New Zealand 9 years ago we wanted somewhere to stay to base ourselves as we visited friends and relatives in the area. High Kirkland was perfect being in the country with beautiful views but just outside my old school town of Kirkcudbright. Donald and Vicki have decorated Robin's Nest to a very high standard with some lovely touches. The cottage was well furnished with everything we needed including free wi-fi.
