A lovely time away with family and our dogs. The cottage was beautiful, had great space outside for our pets. And the added touch of the cows and sheep in the fields nearby made it extra special. Hot tub and stars at night were amazing. And the food from local producers that were offered as an added extra were lovely. Graze box was to die for ❤️ Hopefully will be back
As always had a wonderful stay mixed weather but didn't stop those who cycled and walked, sometimes coming back dripping wet, all adding to their enjoyment. Barrhill Wood is a 5 minute walk from the cottage with red squirrels. A trip into town is 1 mile downhill but a hefty climb coming back good if you're fit, my idea is to go by car! Kirkcudbright boast some arty shops, National Trust Broughton house nice to visit and Maclellans castle, nice walk around the harbour and along the estuary. Once again we had a great holiday in Robins Nest, we took both Robins Nest and Heron View to accommodate the family, mixed weather but didn't stop everyone getting out on their bikes and dog walks and ending the day in the hot tub in Heron View which we also shared with the family.Lovely peaceful area, local walks in and around Barrhill woods and the red squirrels. Loved watching the cows and their calves over the garden wall and the sheep and their young lambs across the field. We always enjoy our stay at Robins Nest.
