As always had a lovely week at the Byre, had a few reasonable days with the weather and some windy and wet but didnt expect anything different for the time of year, didn't stop us using the hot tub though. The Byre is like a little bubble very private with lovely views. Very much a home from home, we have been coming to High Kirkland since 2015 and tallied up approx 28 visits in one or the other cottages, hows that for recommendation, look forward to the next one at Easter with the family! Thank you Donald, Vicki and the girls for keeping the cottages pristine and modern always recommend them
We stayed at High Kirkland for two weeks at the beginning of October and it was blissful! The dark and quiet environment made for good sleeps and the cottage had everything we needed to self-cater. The location was an excellent base for visiting all of the attractions of Galloway, as well as access to all amenities. We visited Wigtown, Mull of Galloway, distilleries, the Smokehouse, the Ice cream farm, Gatehouse of Fleet, Kircudbright, and even saw otters at Threave nature reserve!
We had a great time at the Robins Nest, the accommodation had everything and more that we needed for our stay, had a minor issue with hot water and Donald rectified the problem straight away, close to all amenities, great walks and wonderful views. Would highly recommend.
