Spent lovely 4 days at Kirkwood Cottages. Location is quiet, secluded with beautiful woodland walks. Accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable (home from home).
Will certainly b revisiting again soon.
Loved it! :D x
Dalton Green Farmhouse is extremely well equipped and very comfortable with lots of extras and thoughtful touches which really enhanced our stay. Our welcome was warm and it was like going round a show home when being guided round on arrival. We were so impressed with the large kitchen/living area that we chose to have several relaxing evenings in, watching golf on Sky or listening to music or simply chatting with G&T or glass of wine in hand!. To start the week with barbecues beside the always enticing river Annan and ending with a blazing coal fire to combat the frost made our week in south lodge as wonderfully bizarre as ever. Team if Kirkwood is very nice. Willing to help. You can have excellent walks on the farm! We had a bbq at the river. Surroundings were great to. Lockerbie is nearby, we had a afternoon at the farm fun, great for children. Also Dumfries is great city to visit. We are definitly coming back!
Set off the beaten track in lovely woodland, the cottage was perfect for our need to get away from it all. Lovely walks along the river each evening and a real fire to come back to. Slightly more than we usually pay but it wouldn't put me off returning.
This is a great place. Everybody you come into contact with is genuinely friendly, and they are very concerned with making sure you enjoy your stay. This is in contrast to other farm holidays we've been on where we felt a bit of a commodity!
The house and grounds are beautiful, and the cottages are cozy and feel quite spacious.
There were plenty of things to do with two 3 year olds, and it is definitely a place that can grow with them as they get older.
