West Lodge is a single storey cottage situated at the main entrance to Kirkwood, just off a minor public road. With a lovely private garden, it’s the perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon. West Lodge is a very popular, traditional holiday cottage.

West Lodge has two charming twin bedrooms, both comfortably furnished. The cosy sitting room has an open fire, colour TV, DVD & CD player, comfortable seating and a dining table and chairs. The galley-style kitchen has a breakfast bar for your more informal meals. The spacious bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and WC. West Lodge is heated using electric heaters with either the back boiler or immersion heater heating the water. West Lodge offers basic but good accommodation.

As fishermen we did not spend a lot of time in the cottage but it had all we required for a comfortable stay. It was clean and rooms were a very good size. Would definitely stay again.

Pleasant stay, although quite basic, it suited our needs well. Nice location, we used the lodge as a base on a fishing holiday.

A lovely lodge with a garden that leads into the woods. The grounds on the estate are spectacular and we even had the opportunity to feed the lambs. A perfect location in a comfortable cottage for a most enjoyable family holiday.

The two weeks we've been here went so quickly, it felt as if it was only two days! The staff is so friendly and helpful, the area is so peaceful,and yet, there's so much to do.

We returned to West Lodge for the first time in over 10 years and were not disappointed. We had everything we needed in the cottage for our stay and felt very much at home, thank you Anthony and Sam.

Team if Kirkwood is very nice. Willing to help. You can have excellent walks on the farm! We had a bbq at the river. Surroundings were great to. Lockerbie is nearby, we had a afternoon at the farm fun, great for children. Also Dumfries is great city to visit. We are definitly coming back!

Mit unserem Hund "Fussel" waren wir in der "urigen" West Lodge genau richtig untergebracht. Wir nutzten den sonnigen Garten mit Sitzbank ausgiebig und hatten auch die ganze Woche passendes Wetter.
