We recently enjoyed a short break at Pheasant Walk cottage on the Eaton Manor Estate. The cottage was beautifully set up with a wonderful view over the Shropshire countryside. We could not fault the facilities on offer although, as the estate is quite large, the distances between our cottage and some of them was larger than we expected. The Estate is tucked away from the main roads so I would really recommend a car although there are several excellent walks directly from the cottage. The break was excellent and as promised very little or no fireworks could be heard for the duration of our 4 night stay (5th - 9th Nov). The addition of the Hot tub on the patio was excellent and put to great use.
Our third Christmas here. Beautiful location with great walks from the door. Comfortable rooms with ensuites. Added extras great: Archery sessions, meal ordered for arrival, catered supper, Christmas Eve service at the candlelit church and Young Farmers Carol Singers. And our dog loved it ❤️
This is an excellent property , especially for a large group. Facilities and furnishings are top notch and everything has been well considered . Games barn is an excellent addition . Staff were pleasant and communication excellent. Hot tub well maintained . Beds were so incredibly comfortable that I have just purchased the same mattress and pillows . Very dog friendly . I usually lodge 2-3 per year, this property is my top choice, there were so many additional thoughtful touches . Thank you and congratulations all at Eaton Manor
We stayed at Pendennis (9 adults, 1 child and 2 toddlers) to celebrate a family birthday. It was perfect. Beautiful location, easy to find, excellent facilities (the play barn was great!) and plenty of room for everyone. We had an hour in the swimming pool too which was lovely. The owners called round to check everything was okay and a nice touch was the milk and apple juice provided. Highly recommended!
We stayed as part of a large group in three cottages. We loved the dog friendly atmosphere and the homely feel to the cottage. The cottage was well equipped in the kitchen. The addition of a hot tub was a very lovely surprise. The large play barn was certainly well used as the weather wasn’t the kindest. I think we would consider taking up the archery on a subsequent visit. Walks were suggested and they all again dog friendly.
We had a lovely, relaxing break. The cottage was great, the kitchen was well equipped and the bed was so comfortable. The setting is so quiet and away from it all, you can feel any stress melt away. It's a short drive to Church Stretton where you can stock up on supplies. A beautiful setting for a tranquil break.
We really enjoyed our time at Eaton Manor. Great Western Lodge was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The grounds are beautiful and the location perfect for some peace and quiet but also only a short drive from the local town. Would definitely stay here again.
