A simply gorgeous 2 bedroom property furnished to the highest standard located in the centre of York.

We enjoyed our stay at The Lark. The bedrooms were perfect for our family of four and the living space worked nicely. The location is great - quick walk to the train station and just 5 minute across the bridge to get to many shops and restaurants. We were appreciative of the fans available as it was warmer than usual during our stay but wish they had been a bit more powerful. The only thing that diminished our stay was the very busy and noisy exterior. This might not be an issue during cooler temperatures, but as we needed to leave the windows open, we found the large bar/pub next door very hard to deal with and get a good night sleep. There is also a 24-hour convenience mart across the street that resulted in noise all night long. Additionally, we think that that barber below the flat plays loud music throughout the day as there was a bass thumping noise we could hear in the downstairs living room that would be just above the barber shop. While these downfalls are not the fault of the flat itself, it did disrupt the stay and I would not select this spot again as a result.

Great location, fantastic apartment would really recommend the Italian next door. Apartment had everything that you need for a city break. I’d recommend ear plugs as it is a little noisy at night if your a light sleeper.

This newly renovated two bedroom unit was brilliant in so many ways. It is modern, well equipped kitchen with a comfortable sitting area and supercomfortable beds. The location is so close to everything . Excellent!

The photos were very accurate and the property was well decorated and equipped. The only small improvements we could suggest was heating the property before we arrived and removing or increasing the heating limit on the radiators as it was chilly in February! A few more dishwasher tablets would help and the shower heads need replacing but otherwise it was a great stay and very close to the centre. The next door Italian restaurant was also excellent and 10 seconds away and the Turkish restaurant round the corner was also great and only 3 minutes away.

Great place to stay right in the heart of York. Well equipped kitchen/lovely bathrooms and comfy beds. Only downside is noise at night from main road. Bring earplugs.

Lovely apartment with ATD. So close to city centre and all attractions, restaurants etc.
Only small issue was the instruction not to open windows.

The Lark provided a fabulous base to stay - not far from the train station or the city centre. Many great places to visit, and plenty of places to eat. Looking forward to the next visit.

First booked a stay via Expedia with StaysYork which was cancelled 12h later. This was our second attempt. The flat is beautiful, but is 9 minutes walk away from the Parking location, which was advertised as 5 minutes. The location is good, but it is on a noisy street, which you don't notice due to superb double glazing, but it does mean you cannot open the windows if you are too hot inside, signs say to not open the windows. We had a call the day before to say the hot water system would be fixed, but the boiler is locked away in a cupboard and we had to have cold showers, so StaysYork could be great if they had out of hours help available. I did email so they could sort it out for the next people staying but never had a reply from the office manager and no discount given for the nastiness of cold water showers. I also suspect as it was quite warm in the flat it might be intolerably hot inside if the temperature was over 23 degrees. We ended up removing the duvets and sleeping under sheets, and still were sweating.
