Unfortunately, my experience at the apartment was below expectations. The room lacked proper ventilation, especially during a heatwave. The fan provided was not functional, and the window could not be fully opened, which made the space extremely uncomfortable and poorly ventilated. Sleeping at night was very difficult due to the heat and lack of airflow.

I have a medical condition that makes proper airflow and temperature regulation essential. The heat and lack of ventilation seriously affected my ability to rest and triggered physical discomfort.

When I raised these concerns and requested either a stronger fan or help with opening the window, no assistance was offered. Due to the lack of response and the discomfort I was experiencing, I requested to cancel the final five days of my stay. However, this request was declined due to the cancellation policy, even though my reason was based on the physical discomfort caused by the heat, not a change of plans or preference. Additionally, the kitchen utensils were not properly cleaned, and there was not enough laundry detergent provided.

Although cleaning was promised weekly, the apartment was not cleaned until the eighth day of my stay. This was disappointing and did not match what was communicated.

I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests.

The place was convenient to the train station and city centre. It was comfortable and clean. The slight glitch was the tv and music stations did not have any signal and could not watch the normal programmes only through app like bbc iplayer, etc. Otherwise it was safe enough place to stay.

There were several aspects of the stay that left us with the feeling that the host hasn't given adequate consideration to the guest, but is more concerned with the profitability of the enterprise. Is it too much to ask that the suite include shampoo and other bathroom essentials? Every other place we stayed provided them. By not providing such basic amenities, we are obliged to go out and buy full-sized bottles, which in any case we can't easily carry on our travels and certainly not for overseas travels.
The room was very warm and as we could not open the window, we were obliged to leave the door open to get fresh air. Why can't the kitchen be stocked with enough coffee and milk to reflect the length of stay and number of guests? This applies likewise to towels in the bathroom, which were enough for a night or two but our stay was long enough that having a second towel would have made our stay more enjoyable.
I think that to gain a higher score, you need to re-evaluate your offering from the guest's point of view. A lot can be done to improve the quality with only a marginal increase to your overhead.

Room was little dark but everything we needed for a short break .when I booked I was asked if I wanted parking but on arrival I was told there is no parking available with units

We enjoyed our stay at the Falcon Tap. It was close to the train station and sites in historic York. The bed was comfortable, the unit was very clean, and contained all necessary things for our stay. We would stay here again.
