So fun to enjoy a bit of history and stay in the converted Rowntree chocolate factory. Great location walkable to all the attractions as well as easy access to groceries. Comfortable and spacious for 1 person, would be a bit cozy for more. Very clean and the cleaning service for my longer stay was great. I found the kitchen a little ill-equipped. The windows let in a lot of noise as there is a walkway and gate right outside the window, as well as the building entrance. If you're a light sleeper this could be an issue.

This apartment was perfectly located and full of everything we needed for our 4 night stay in York. 5 - 10 minute walk to the shambles and Yyork Centre and a 5 min walk to the Morrisons supermarket.the apartment is modern with plenty of space and a large walk in shower.

Only a couple of small issues which could of improved our stay are.

. The matress was really soft which me and my Wife found left us with not having the best sleep and achy backs, this is obviously personal preference.
. The base of the shower round the seal was very moldy. Apart from this I could not fault the cleanliness. It only stood out because everywhere else was so clean and looked modern and looked after. Wasn't a major issue for us but and observation.
. My wife struggled to use her straighteners without a mirror. There is a really large mirror in the bathroom which she said was great but her straightners aren't able to be used in the bathroom sockets and the nearest socket near the door was a stretch so it would be useful to have another mirror in the hall.
. Lastly there wasn't enough toilet roll provided for us for 4 nights, again not a major issue but abit of an inconvenience having to nip the shop just to top up the toilet roll.

All in all I would recommend this property for its location features and price, and have to friens already, however for us personally if I was staying for more than a few days I think we would struggle with the comfort of the matress.

I had stayed at Cocoa Suites before, but in a 1 bedroom apartment, and it was outstanding and faultless, hence my deliberately choosing Cocoa Suites with Stays York again. Whilst this last stay was good, it did fall short of the high standards already set. The biggest disappointment was that the studio was not perfectly clean (hairs, in the bathroom, kitchen and in the bed and rubbish under the sofa. Admittedly the week I stayed there was during a period of very cold weather, however the large, old windows are draughty and not insulated. By manually setting the heating, it was possible ensure that the apartment stayed warm though. The window of this particular studio is right next to a heavy iron gate which is in constant use, so the noise can be a distraction, especially at night. The kitchen was well-equipped though there was only one teaspoon. The "welcome pack" provided was again a lovely touch. The internet could have been faster, and was particularly slow when the TV was on. Booking and communication with Stays York was excellent. Overall, It's not cheap, but I felt at home. The studio offers all you need (washer/dryer, cooking utensils, ironing board etc) and the location is excellent, virtually in the centre of the city.

Located in the city centre in a really nice and quite area. Close to local shops.
The apparent is modern it provides all the things you might need. The bathroom was huge!!

I throughly enjoyed my stay the apartment was lovely and had everything we needed. It was very central to everything we wanted and very comfortable to stay in.
