The property was beautifully furnished and clean. We were very pleased on arrival with the place and had a nice stay. Our main complaint was with the radiators in the living room. They did not heat up properly, one did not heat up at all and the other only fractionally. The room is a large mansion room with high ceilings, as a result we found we were unable to sit comfortably in the living room and had to drag chairs out to the hall for warmth.
Stays York did send someone round with a blow heater which helped but for a room of that size still did not heat the room effectively.

The apartment is beautiful, with a great view of the racecourse over the road. We loved the furnishings throughout and the quiet.
We did find the bed very hard though but that might be down to personal preference rather than a fault.
One thing that was not in the instruction folder is that there is a boiling hot water tap and how to use it.
We did enjoy the walk in to town each day, although there is a very good bus service if you prefer.
All in all, we enjoyed our four nights stay and found it well worth the money.

This a lovely apartment in a quiet area of beautiful houses. There is a park at back and the race course opposite. Buses into York centre are frequent and take just a couple of minutes.
The apartment is stylish and well equipped, but we would have liked a microwave. It’s quiet and private.
Stays were very helpful when we had a problem with the keys.
