The house is lovely with a lot of original features, the downstairs bathroom is clean, modern and easily accessible, however, there was a damp smell in there.
The kitchen was reasonably equipped, with a good range of utensils.
The upstairs bedrooms were all clean and well maintained. There is a very modern bathroom on the first floor, very nice decor, however, there is a need for a non slip mat in the shower, when the shower and floor are wet it is dangerously slippery.
Overall the house was very nice, some attention is needed to deep cleaning with cobwebs, and stains on carpets.
Hopfully this is helpful criticism not complaints.

The house was great. It was a convenient walk to the middle of the city where the shops, restaurants, and pubs are located. We had everything we needed for our four day visit, including doing laundry. The people at Stays York were so friendly and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had a positive experience. The house is nicely decorated and was more than enough room for our family. I would recommend this house and would stay there again if we were to visit York in the future.

Fulfilled all our needs. Good size. Perfectly located for walking in to York - never used our car once it was parked - and a few shops nearby, handy for essentials. Clean and equipped enough to do your own catering, if required. Enclosed garden was great for our dog. Highly recommend.

Andrew of the Stays York staff was very accommodating in providing a heater for the first floor back bedroom as the radiator there was not working. He also ordered a plumber to attend the morning after we arrived to try to rectify the issue. When we had booked, months in advance, we were informed that there was one resident’s parking permit that came with the stay. However, this had lapsed by the time we were staying. Again Stays York were very accommodating with their solution to this. My family had a wonderful break indeed using the recommendations provided in the property to visit pubs etc.

Very nice property , would stay again , the only things we need to report are the heating was difficult to control, the ironing board was broken only had one leg on it even tho it was in cupboard no one had seen that it need replacing, could do with an outside light in garden as we had a dog with us and it was very dark and it would of been nice if there was logs and kindling etc to light the log fire .
