Beautiful cottage in a stunning place! Clean, comfortable, well-maintained, and superbly appointed. We give it our most enthusiastic recommendation!
The nice people in the Lochearnhead Hotel called it the "Upside Down House" because the kitchen and living room were on the top floor, up a spiral staircase. All four bedrooms were clean and spacious. The kitchen was stocked with all the dishes and appliances we needed for our two week stay. The view was absolutely breathtaking on the top floor deck, and also up the hill behind the house on a freestanding wood deck. One of my fondest memories will be watching the meteor shower with my sons up there while looking down over the loch, with a crystal clear sky full of stars overhead. We really lov...more
The wee house is a lovely place to stay, we were made to feel very welcome by Louise. The property is in a beautiful location with lots of amenities close by. We look forward to returning to the Wee house in the future.
Used Waterside as a base for a 6 night stay visiting Dunblane, Crieff, Stirling and the Trossachs while we were there. Centrally located for all of these. The cottage had everything we needed and catered well for us and our 5 month old baby. Nice walks in the local area. We would definitely recommend it and look forward to our next stay!
The Holiday in Scotland was the nicest so far. The cottage exceeded all our expectations. Hope to return soon
Stayed here mid October, lovely cosy lodge to stay. Beautiful views. Very welcoming owners who had left us a welcome pack of milk, water, porridge, jam , biscuits also tea and coffee for our use. Hot tub fantastic ( requires new gazebo cover ). Great location for walking , climbing or just relaxing. Hopefully will visit again next year and would recommend a visit.
All members of the party enjoyed their stay. Easy to find property and very comfortable. Would highly recommend property and cooper cottages
Very well appointed accommodation - slight problem with control of heating but Margaret next door was very helpful. Excellent location.
Absolutely beautiful modern cottage and spacious for four people. Loved the under floor heating and the log burner. Enjoyed cooking most nights, kitchen had everything needed. The cottage is in a great location for lots of walking and beautiful scenery. The only disappointing things were the sofas weren't very comfy and the bath could have done with a shower head over the taps, but thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We loved staying here. The view is amazing. And it is really quiet. You have lots of space. The whole apartment is lovely and modern decorated with love to detail. The kitchen is fully equipped. There even is a washing machine with drying function. The only small downsize was the broken toilet, but that got fixed during our stay. Since each bedroom pretty much has its own bathroom and there is a spare toilet on the upper floor it was not a big issue. This is a lovely place to stay. Can definitely recommend it! We felt like home.
The house was ideal for us, a family of four with two teenagers. The teenagers each had their own decent sized room and we had the one with the generously sized en-suite. The owner had kindly got some basic provisions in for us prior to our arrival. The house is located withing short walking distance of a number of shops and restaurants. We discovered "morning rolls" which we ate with bacon for breakfast and tried out the excellent restaurant next door. Stirling, Perth, Lough Tay and Dundee are all within easy reach by car and there are plenty of activities in the surrounding area. We tried q...more
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Gilmerton, easily travelling around to different locations. Bryan has been on hand when we needed him but left us alone to ourselves when we didn't. Would recommend Isle of Murray very highly.
My wife and I had a lovely week in Annfield cottage central in town and handy for shops and cafes etc Our hosts were very helpful without being obtrusive and the cottage was everthing we needed ,so thank you for a great holiday Bill and Margaret
The bungalow was everything we expected and more. The location is on a quiet street yet within 5 minutes walk of Comrie centre. Parking off the road, good access to the property. It was very clean and tidy and decor was also very good. Kitchen was fully equipped, lounge was comfortable and the double bedroom also had a comfortable bed. Just what you need after a days walking! The heating worked fine, and the bathroom had a very good hot shower (didn't use the bath). Its nice to have soft water, coming from a hard water area! Having stayed in many cottages over the years, this was defin...more
We had a lovely time. The cottage is very well furnished, spaceous and equipped with everything you might ever need! A nice table in the back garden allows you to enjoy a meal surrounded by beautiful nature. We can highly recommend a stay at Mid Cottage east!
the location is perfect for water sports and for visiting south scotland, situated at one hour from glasgow, edimburgh, east and west coast. the cottage is perfect in everithing
Great little retreat very comfortable very convenient location. Enormous bath, for unwinding or soothing tired legs. Good layout
A great base for a family holiday in beautiful Perthshire. This delightful quirky cottage combines character with mod cons. Clean, cosy and comfortable, a short stroll to the village with brilliant walks from the cottage to explore Comrie and surrounding area in all its glory. Wildlife seen on our walks included, red squirrels, deer, kites, buzzards, peregrines, goshawk, grouse and eagle with numerous birds in the garden, didn't find the otter and the salmon stayed in the river Earn despite granddads efforts! We would recommend Glen Cottage to anyone who loves the great outdoors but doesn...more
Good location and cosy comfortable accomodation. Shop ie Co op very convenient for provisions.. Good takeaway pub/restaurant COURIE nearby
This was our second visit after a few years out of the country. It was, again, like staying in someone's home rather than a holiday cottage. Comfortable and spacious with superb beds and bathrooms. The service from Cooper Cottages was efficient, user-friendly and personal. We will certainly use their site again.
Well what an absolutely lovely cottage in a beautiful location! It's very comfortable, well-equipped and furnished to a very high standard throughout. The conservatory which is new for 2017 I think is very high quality and a real showpiece! The wood burning stove in the living room was a real bonus as the nights were quite chilly! This was my first visit to View Cottage and to this part of Scotland and I'm already looking forward to returning early next year and to a few more visits after that for sure. If, like myself, you're on a mission to climb the Scottish Munro's then this makes a...more
The Boathouse is a wonderful property in a glorious location. The accommodation is spacious, very comfortable and even if the rain had lashed down all week (which it didn't!) we would have enjoyed our stay. The proximity of the loch even tempted in a couple of our children....in October! (NOT a great place with young mobile children I suspect....)
We were lucky to be staying in early November so the scenery around the cottage is especially beautiful and we were able to take advantage of the log burning fire. The cottage is so homely and welcoming and the living room really is a stunning centrepiece with double height ceilings, spiral staircase and of course, the fire. The cottage is well appointed with every home comfort, including some hot water bottles which was a nice touch. It is set amongst several other cottages and houses which made for a pleasant wander round before dinner as we spotted deer and pheasant. Comrie is close by and ...more
Fabulous apartment with a great view over Stirling towards the castle. It is close to amenities and the city centre and located right by the railway station, ideal for trips to other cities such as Glasgow and Edinburgh without the hassle of driving and parking. It is a in a great location to explore the area, includes free parking and is a clean, modern and light-filled apartment with all the facilities and equipment you could need while on holiday. Our party included 3 generations some of whom had never previously visited the area and it did not disappoint. Would definitely recommend to anyo...more
Comfortable cottage, welcoming and helpful owners. Ideally positioned for access to the local shops/pubs and many delightful walks.
Love it, love it, love it. Had a fantastic wee family holiday there. Definitely will be back. Great location.
A spacious house in a lovely location in Lochearnhead. Lots of room to store our bikes in the garage. Furniture and decor very basic but the house did the job for us.
Great cottage, well equipped, lots of space for us and the dog! Great location- only 15mins from Perth, but plenty walks etc round about. Great place to come back to at the end of a busy day with friends and family. Would definitely come again!
Had to find somewhere to stay whilst visiting family just outside Perth and this was still available peak holiday week, probably because it does not really suit everybody with 3 double beds so not really family friendly more for groups of couples which we were. Lovely property bit of a drive down the loch to get anywhere as quite remote with no local facilities such as a shop, the nearest being Kenmore about 3 miles away but worth the drive!
Merci pour la cheminée qui nous a bien réchauffés Le parc est très agréable Il vaut mieux disposer d'un véhicule pour séjourner à Almondbank
This house is in a great location for going around the Lochs. Very spacious, looks newly refurbished and well fitted though there is some pending work. But could do with some more mod-cons (e.g. no electric kettle or microwave in kitchen) and for the price some more thought for guest comfort when being offered even as a self-catering unit.
Not the cleanest of properties that I have ever stayed at. Sink traps need a good clean. The house had a funny smell, like body odour, not nice. There was obviously no underlay on the flooring, very poor. The plumbing is also a bit of an annoyance I.e. It continually makes a loud noise when toilets are flushed or taps run. We didn't use the back area due it being a winter break however, had I rented in the summer I would have been extremely disappointed. A lick of varnish and a good tidy up doesn't cost that much. Be careful of the steep stairs, inside and out. A bit of work to get this proper...more
