Iona is a beautiful accommodation with a very appealing decor. The equipment includes everything you need for a pleasant stay, also the kitchen is very well equipped. The second bathroom is also very practical. A parking lot is available right in front of the house. The owner is very friendly, after we arrived only after midnight, she put food in the fridge for us so we could have breakfast without leaving the house. That's really nice! The accommodation is very central, you can walk to everything in Stirling (train station, shops, restaurants, pubs, castle).
My vacation at Linden apartment was great. The apartment is very nice, well located and most important very clean. The owner Nrs. Christine is kind and very helpfull. Glenda
Where do I start?! The luxury of this house unbelievable. There has been no expense spared when it comes to quality. The comfiest beds I’ve ever slept in. The owners property is next to the house but literally never saw them, but when I needed the answer to a question Julie was there immediately with a response. We loved that it’s between Falkirk and Stirling as wanted to visit sites in both. It’s very near a busy road but we hardly heard any cars at all. We felt miserable going back to our own house and would love to visit again. If you want utter relaxation and comfort this house is a must.
Had a great 3 nights stay in this lovely property. The property is tastefully refurbished to an excellent standard and the conservatory is an ideal place to relax.although on the main street we parked at the rear of the property and accessed through the back gate which was fine.Dollar itself is a lovely village with everything you need within walking distance. If you like gardens the Japanese gardens just up the road is a must especially when the Cherry are out late April. Stirling is 20 mins away by car and the Castle is amazing with the Falkirk Wheel and Kelpies also close by, all in all ...more
Our family of four recently stayed at Melville Lodge. The house was, and had, everything we needed. It was warm, comfortable, spacious and exceptionally clean. The host, Irene met us when we arrived and made us feel welcome. She is a very kind and generous host. The location was great for us - close to family, only 30 mins to Glasgow and Stirling but it also had the peace and tranquillity of a rural setting. We loved staying at Melville Lodge. We hope to return sometime soon and would happily recommend the house as a great place to stay in Cumbernauld.
We went here to relax and enjoy the surroundings which is exactly what we did. Owners are very helpful, right next door and non invasive.
Thank you for another perfect stay at The Lindsay House! It is wonderful to have a "home away from home" and we are deeply appreciative of all the special and unexpected touches The Lindsay House offers. From booking to check-in, to our stay and finally our departure, every single step can be navigated with ease adn comfort. The Lindsay House is conveniently located and is in a beautiful area of Stirling. The House is generously appointed with everything you might need (and more!) and is kept to the highest standards. A spacious and comfortable apartment, with everything you need for an enjoyable stay in Stirling. Despite it being street parking, we had no problem finding a space outside. The apartment is within walking distance of tourist attractions such as the castle, the city centre and the Tesco supermarket, A great location for exploring this part of Scotland.
We were very pleased with the cottage, there was plenty of room for the 7 of us and ideally located between Edinburgh, Stirling, Falkirk and Glasgow. We were very warm and cosy and enjoyed ourselves immensely in beautiful Scotland, I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely cottage.
This was our second stay at Wilson’s cottage & our return visit 12 months after the first didn’t disappoint. A warm & cosy retreat close to all the attractions of Falkirk (Callendar park, Falkirk wheel & the Kelpies). I’m sure we will return again.
THIS IS MY 2ND VISIT TO KINGSVIEW APARTMENT, I ENJOYED IT SO MUCH I PERSUADED MY FRIENDS TO VISIT WITH ME. THE APARTMENT IS SO COMFORTABLE, WE HAD AN EXCELLENT FEW DAYS. IT IS IN AN IDEAL SETTING WITH EVERYTHING REQUIRED WITHIN EASY WALKING DISTANCE. STIRLING CASTLE AND WALLACE TOWER ARE FANTASTIC HISTORICAL ATTRACTIONS AND SHOULD NOT BE MISSED. THERE ARE LOADS OF WALKS NEARBY FOR ALL ABILITIES AND WHAT A GREAT FIND WAS THE TOLLBOOTH WHICH OFFERS ENTERTAINMENT REGULARLY.
I have just returned from a fabulous long weekend stay at St Michael’s with a group of close friends. We arranged to have a grocery delivery on the 1st evening- the driver had no issues locating the house and it certainly got our weekend off to a great start not having to lug in lots of heavy grocery bags. The views from the lounge, deck and numerous bedrooms of the Trossachs Hills were stunning – clear, dark skies at night also made for some fantastic star and galaxy gazing lying under a blanket on the deck. Well-equipped kitchen – everything has been thought of and more! The Dining Room ...more
Looked like the cleaning had been done in a rush. Cotton bud on floor beside bin in one room. Cutlery drawer not very clean. Some of the pans and oven trays had been put away without being checked. Bin area still had cans in one bin and lots of debris on floor. Kitchen needs a corkscrew, jug for water, strainer and other bits and Bob's! Dials on cooker are worn away and mugs were not too nice inside. Shower doors in main bedroom need attention. Fire wouldn't stay on. Bulb in toilet was out so couldn't be used after dark. Car parking beside hedge was too tight...with so much grass in front tha...more
We had a great stay at the apartment in Bridge of Allam! It was very comfortable and cozy, and the location was convenient. The only downside was the need for a car, and we missed having a coffee maker. Overall, it was clean and comfortable.
Provision was very clean. Provisioned well. Location was a little out of the centre of town but one could walk taking 45/50 minutes. Local food stores were fine. Location was quiet. 5th time staying with Stirling Self-Catering. Good base to explore The Trossachs including Loch Lommond and Loch Katrine, little further to Loch Tay. Good communication with property manager. Reported insecure toilet seat at end of our stay. Reported continual water dribbling in en suite toilet. Reported issue but property manager stated that the handyman coud visit only when we were present. He visited in the ...more
