Another well earned break at river edge lodges everything is so peace full here. We ha've been coming for over twenty years first of all with our children and now with our grandson. My daughter still comes in the summer with us. Lodges are lovely and clean and very cosy. Over the years we have been in them all and everyone has the same standard. Mary and John are lovely and help full. Looking forward to July.
We have just returned from a week's holiday and apart from the weather had a great time. We enjoyed days out fishing, Perth Races, shopping, sightseeing , visiting the local bars and restaurants but most of all relaxing in the beautiful surroundings at River Edge Lodges. It is a beautiful place and very safe for families who will enjoy the goats and hens scuttling about. Very pleased to review the Lodges and I wish the owners John and Mary every success for the future.
I made my booking last minute direct with the owner Mary, Mary was very pleasant and welcoming. The lodges are very well thought out, in a lovely village with all amenities available locally. Myself, mum and my sister stayed there for three nights on a recent visit to see family it made an Ideal base to see a little of Perthshire whilst there.
I've been visiting River Edges Lodges for about 20 years mainly for golfing tours. So this year I hired 4 chalets for my family between 20th May 2017 and 27th May 2017 which included 3 grandchildren aged between 7 months and 4 years old.. All four chalets were clean, tidy and suitably equipped for a self catering holiday. The location is lovely with loads of space for children to run around in. There is plenty of car parking spaces for each chalet. The chalets are a max 10 minute drive from a Tesco in Perth or a 4 minute walk to a local Co-Op, so no problem for food shopping. Had most of what I needed supplied apart from extra blanket - May so chilly some evenings.
Stayed for business which was fine as I wasn't about by day anyway.
In general appearance was a bit tired; front door needed sprucing up and would have been good if patio and seats on the play area were cleaned of bird droppings.
Nice spot by the river and good amenities such as shops, take aways, pubs and restaurants in walking distance.
