Situated on the North Cornish coast in the pretty village of Crantock, Talland Croft offers fabulous family friendly accommodation for those looking for a beach holiday, but don’t fancy the crowds in Newquay. Spacious throughout, it offers ample space for large groups of friends and families wishing to holiday together in this wonderful part of Cornwall.

Talland Croft is a beautiful property in a perfect location for exploring Crantock village & the surrounding areas. The village is idyllic with two of the best pubs in the area in the Old Albion & the Cornishman. Crantock beach is absolutely stunning and it is within walking distance of this property. Although in some rooms in the house, the decor & furniture is slightly outdated, this is a minor compromise in my opinion. Bedrooms are large & comfortable with plenty of space for the family of 10 + baby that we had. The garden is stunning! Overall great value, we would definitely recommend.

Things to do in the area were very accessible and the house and area brilliant for our family. Wish we had another weeks stay! Went far too fast!
Lovely lady too that dealt with us..very helpful and accommodating.

Honestly, you won't be disappointed with Talland Croft.
The only thing I would advise the owners with is a mattress topper or replacement mattress for one of the singles in the children's twin room.
We still coped though, it wouldn't put me off booking again.
The house was perfect for our all adult group, heaps of space, perfect garden for drinks, BBQ, and chiminea. The utility space was fabulous for our kit. We surfed, bodyboarded, paddledboarded, snorkelled and then some, so we were recycling lots of towels and cozzies etc.
We shared the two showers which wasn't an issue, a couple of us used the bath as an alternative. Everything including the parking was fine for our 4 vehicles. It would be tight for 2 on the drive, so we just had one with another over the end of it and the 2 others found somewhere on the street.
Plenty of quality cutlery and crockery , pretty good storage too. Super communication with Lisa, who looks after the cleaning and bedroom set up.
Overall, one of the best properties in Crantock that ticks all the boxes for a lge party. So good, that we're booking again for next year!

Our family had a lovely holiday at Talland Croft , there were 10 of us plus Polly the dog . The house was great , lots of space for everyone . We loved the big garden , again plenty of space for bbq’s and games.

We love Talland Croft and our family will return. It's fabulous, clean and our happy holiday place where we relax and enjoy all that it offers. A stunning garden, a stunning location. We have been visiting Crantock for 34 years and nothing beats the beauty of this little Cornish gem.
I almost want to keep it a secret!!!

This was our second holiday at Talland Croft - extended family of 10 and again it offered everything we could wish for. The accommodation and situation are perfect . A lovely village with a shop, places to eat and an easy walk to the beach. We couldn’t ask for more and the service from booking to check in was excellent.



Overall a lovely house & many happy memories made as three generations enjoyed a family holiday.

A wonderful time was had by all. The house was clean & with enough space that nobody felt on top of each other. The only small niggle was lack of small items that you wouldn’t think of packing for a holiday, Such as oven gloves & bin bags, nothing major but trying to remove hot dishes without getting burnt was a problem.

We loved our stay at Talland Croft. The house had plenty of space for all of us and was in a great location for us to walk to the centre of the village and the beach. The house was super clean and in great condition. We loved our stay!

The size of the property was wonderful for a family of ten. The garden was a lovely size for the children to play. The kitchen was well equipped and we ate there most evenings.

The house is conveniently located in a quiet part of the village close to the shop and the pubs and cafe. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach. The house is spacious with large airy rooms and was clean and tidy. The kitchen was great for eating in and there were plenty of glasses, crockery and cutlery. There was a large utility room adjoining the kitchen where we could put all of our beach stuff and a second fridge came in handy. The lounge was large and the settees really comfortable. All the beds were comfortable with clean fresh bedding.
My favourite part of the property was the garden. The dogs really enjoyed it too. It was well fenced so my very small terrier was unable to escape. There was sun and shade in the garden with plenty of chairs and we enjoyed eating outside weather permitting. There was a hosepipe to clean all the beach stuff.
The beach and surrounding dunes and paths are fantastic. The estuary is really safe for paddle boarding and kayaking and a number of our party had surfing lessons.
My only complaints were that we had no tea towel and there was a minimum of things like toilet rolls provided. We had to unblock the drain in one of the en suite shower rooms as it was clogged with hair and the shower tray looked like it might overflow. Would any of these things stop me revisiting the property, definitely not. We are hoping to return next year.

This was our second time staying at Talland Croft as a family of 6. It is such a beautiful place to stay very spacious with such a lovely garden. The location is excellent a short 10 minute walk to the beach and two lovely pubs serving delicious food around a 5 minute walk. Newquay is a 10 minute drive which has plenty to do. We were able to check in early which really helped. Thank you so much for allowing to create more magical memories.

We had a wonderful week in Crantock.

Pros -
1) Beautiful, large, immaculate garden
2) Proximity to shop, beach and pubs
3) Tea, coffee and milk provided on arrival
4) Responsive and helpful property manager
5) Netflix
6) Great facilities - washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer
7) Huge utility room
8) Big, fluffy, good-quality bath towels

Cons -
1) Incredibly thin bedroom curtains (bring an eye mask!)
2) Very thin doors and walls (ie v little soundproofing between rooms)
3) A few maintenance issues (some of which were resolved during our stay)
4) Could do with some updating
5) Hot water system won't allow more than 1 shower simultaneously

All we could wish for our family holiday which has been a long time coming. Plenty of room in the house for 10 of us plus fabulous garden for the children. Within walking distance of the beach and a stroll to the pub if wanted! The whole family had such a great time love the house and definitely want to revisit hopefully next year. The service from the housekeeper Sam was excellent with an extra touch of Easter chocolates for the children.

Really enjoyed our stay at Talland Croft. Great size for a large family getaway. Sufficient facilities available to use.
Ideally situated for beach, walking, pub and shopping.
Would help if the left-hand bushes were trimmed back to allow 2 cars into the driveway as local residents regularly parked in front of the house. This made it a bit inconvenient to park at the house.

The house is fantastic for a family holiday-lots of room (six adults, one child, one dog) and great lay out upstairs and down. Garden beautiful, and thank you for the extras in the garden house.

Perfect position-200yds to shop, village with pub, and 15’ walk to the most gorgeous beach (estuary and sea) past drivers queuing!

This is the second time we have stayed at the house, it is in a nice quiet position, but you can walk to a nice pub, and a beautiful local beach. The house has everything we need. It is quiet dated, but then if it was in tip top condition then it would be a much higher price to pay, but its very clean, and comfortable, and like i said has everything that we need so we were happy, and will be booking it again.

Talland Croft is a lovely spacious house while having a cosy cottage feel. Plenty of space for everyone to eat together and relax together. Beautiful garden - Rosie the dog loved it too! On a quiet road in easy walking distance to the village and a great location for exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall. Only issue which could do with an upgrade was the back door. A bit tricky to get the hang of. If we can afford it, we would absolutely consider staying again. Thank you.

We rented Talland Croft for a family get together. The house was comfortable and well equipped, ideal for adults, children and dogs. Walking distance to the beach, pubs and village tea room. We had a lovely holiday and would recommend the house to anyone looking for a beach holiday in a very pretty village.
