There are , walks in the Forest of Dean, The River Wye offers many activities , Go-Ape tree-top adventure, castles, cathedrals but best of all the scenic, peaceful and relaxing countryside.
Although the cottage was quite remote it was perfect for what we expected and needed that week. The cottage we stayed in was perfect for my partners restricted mobility requirements. The cottage was extremley well equipped in all aspects, the kitchen clean and compact with a well recieved "Welcome Basket" which I thought was a really nice personal touch. There was a downstairs WC that made life easier for my partner and a wetroom off the main bedroom.

This was a great find for a dog owner, the location was quite isolated and down some narrow lanes but fine for when you want to get away from it all. You need to be prepared to pop down the lanes if you want to get anywhere for supplies but it's only a few minutes to the main dual-carriageway, Symonds Yat and some shops and cafes in Ross or Monmouth. It suited us with a small, elderly dog and there is the option to take more of the accommodation and spread out. A lovely bolthole retreat for some R&R, owners were extremely welcoming and accommodating, made sure we (including our pooch!) were well looked after. Close to both Ross and Wye and Monmouth. Beautiful location.
