Stayed here prior and night of our wedding.
Everything was very clean and spacious.
I didn't find the downstairs beds particularly comfortable, but then I like a med/firm mattress.
Place was nice, didn't blow my mind but decent enough for the price especially when splitting the costs between 6 people.

We along with several other people attending a wedding at a local venue booked the stables (plus other units). The cottage was not easy to find but once there it was a stunning location and very quiet. The cottage was well presented and equipped. We found the cottage very hot and difficult to get cool making sleeping hard. The upstairs bedrooms had large skylight windows which we did open but the rooms then get several wasps in plus they could not stay open at night. There were no fans or the like to help the room stay cooler. Also the bedrooms had very limited storage for clothes. The bathrooms were clean and towels fresh and soft. There was no mobile signal and the WiFi was available but not a great speed or strength if we all used it. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery. We also found the sunny patio with its lovely table and chairs a bonus to eat in the evening or morning sunshine.

We had a lovely 5 day stay at the stables. The accommodation was lovely as was the host Sarah. She made sure to check in with us and made us feel that nothing was too much bother. Would highly recommend.

The cottage is well equipped and comfortable with plenty of space for different family activities. The games room was very popular with some members of our party, while others enjoyed sitting on the terrace or chatting on the sofas. The setting is beautiful, but it is quite rural - the nearest shops are 5 miles away in Bromyard. We made use of local footpaths to find some lovely views and eat blackberries. The owners were very friendly and responded amazingly quickly to a problem. Thank you for a great stay.

I stayed here for my hen do with a group of family and friends. We had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Stables and Tack Room are great for a getaway and although there is not much around, we couldn’t have picked anywhere better to stay. The local pub is amazing! Sarah was also so helpful and accommodating. Would book again and recommend to others!

The Stables is very rural so will need a car for local shops and activities. Very warm and cosy accommodation with a lot of living space .

Positives - extremely quiet location , games facilities of table tennis and pool were ideal for wet days (though games shed could do with smartening up inside ). , accommodation had everything required for 6 of us and was lovely and warm . Sarah the Owner was lovely .

Negatives - lane to accommodation off of road was very bumpy and full of pot holes , latch locks on all internal doors were extremely noisy!

This holiday was a family holiday for ourselves and our two daughters with their families. Ages ranged from the 70+ down to 13 with three older grandchildren either at university or about to start soon. So we wanted plenty of space with a bedroom for each of the grandchildren and with the run of the Stables and Tack room, the Hop house and Loft, and the Snug that requirement was easily satisfied. All the cottages were clean and very well equipped. The setting was lovely and provided easy access to Bromyard which became our local town for food shopping. For days out we were spoilt for choice and did not have time to visit all the places we had researched. Our highlights were a day in Hereford where we enjoyed a visit round the Waterworks Museum which was having a steam day and of course a visit to the Cathedral and a lunchtime organ recital on the wonderful Father Willis organ.
Another day was devoted to swimming in the river Lugg near Leominster. We found the spot in a book about ‘wild’ or outdoor swimming - it was not easy to find and involved quite a long walk but in the end it was very worth while and everyone enjoyed the afternoon.
A visit to Weir Gardens just to the west of Hereford was another success. Pleasant wooded walks down to the river Wye and an amazing walled garden. When we entered the garden the burst of colour made everyone say ‘wow!’ There was also an interesting collection of different varieties of apple trees and pear trees. Our most energetic day was a visit to the Black Mountains just inside Wales near the border with England. We based ourselves at Llanthony Priory and some did a 12 mile walk along the western flank of the Vale of Ewyas while others did a shorter walk up to Offa’s Dyke on the opposite side of the valley. A very sunny day with rewarding views from the tops. On the day of departure we visited Ludlow and spent an enjoyable time looking round the market and the medieval castle. The castle was probably founded by Walter de Lacy after the Norman conquest and was one of the first stone castles to be built in England. We enjoyed a wonderful family holiday and the cottages at Little Cowarne made our time a very memorable one.

The Stables and Tack Room combined was perfect for our family gathering. It's in a lovely area for dog walks and exploring surrounding towns and villages. The games room was a great added bonus which we really enjoyed. Communication with Sarah was great, and we had everything we needed.

We rented the Stables as an overflow for a family weekend get together in Little Cowarne Court next door. I am only sorry we didn't get to use it more. The bedrooms were really comfortable, the lounge was relaxing and a good space to sit around and talk, and being open plan it would have been great for eating at the dining room table. It was modern, comfortable and we felt at home from the moment we arrived. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and we would highly recommend this place.

I stayed in the Stables and Tack Room for a weekend with seven members of my family. It suited us perfectly and I particularly liked being able to choose whether bedrooms were made up as doubles or twins. My 84 year old mother has limited mobility so the level access, ground floor bedroom and huge wet room were ideal. The ground floor is level throughout. The location for us was ideal as we were going to a family wedding at Bredenbury Court just a few miles away.

Delighted with our stay. Exceptionally well equipped cottage with modern decor and large comfy beds. Even had scales in the kitchen so able to bake! Lovely and warm despite the weather. Two bathrooms and basins in two of the bedrooms made it ideal for 6 adults. Large dining table made meals a real family affair followed by board games. Four comfy sofas so plenty of room to spread out. Walks available direct from the cottage. Friendly and helpful host. Would strongly recommend.

We booked The Stables alongside Little Cowarne Court, for a large family gathering - so my feedback in terms of service and location is covered there. This looked like a recent conversion and , therefore, fixtures and fittings and layout were all of a very high standard and delivered all expectations of a holiday let. This place would also operate very successfully for a small group.

We celebrated a milestone birthday here and had a ball. Location excellent, property excellent, the owner wonderful and the pub within walking distance was perfect. We couldn't have asked for more, every member of the party was delighted with the accommodation and got the party off to an excellent start. I am writing this on behalf of my mother Peggy Wilkes. The property is a beautifully barn (stable?) conversion. The quality of the woodwork is great, the floors are solid oak throughout which make it ideal for dogs with muddy paws. My mother is elderly and has mobility issues and the downstairs bedroom and shower room was ideal for her. The only reason I scored the condition down one point is because the site has another ongoing conversion and is a little untidy at present, the condition inside the Stables is excellant. There is a footpath leading straight from the outside which was great for gives you a great dog walk. The countryside around is glorious.

We booked the Tack Room and the Stables combined for a Christmas reunion of friends, the group comprised of 10 adults and 3 small children (3, 1 and new born). A great house, with plenty of space for all of us and having the door between the two properties open was great. Lovely location with plenty of parking. Very little phone signal but good wi-fi in the house. Friendly host who came over once we had arrived to check everything was ok. Would definitely go back.

It was a lovely, relaxing stay for 5 friends with 3 small dogs. The house was warm and comfortable and well equipped in the kitchen. The location was very rural and quiet with lots of parking but some building renovations on the large adjacent oast house . A bottle of wine and one friendly visit was very welcome.

We had a great weekend at the Stables and Tack room. The accommodation was perfect, comfortable, ideal for big groups and great value-for-money. Sarah was very helpful in helping us arrange the weekend and also popped by to check we were okay when we were on site as well as leading our lost supermarket delivery to us! We were able to hire a hot tub and Sarah was very accommodating to allow the set-up before we arrived and the take-down after we left. It topped off an amazing weekend. We rented the Stables and the Tack Room for three nights in July,as an accommodation base for our daughters' wedding. We were given a friendly welcome and shown around the buildings. They were extremely comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The location is fairly remote but that just adds to the charm. Would we stay there again ? Certainly !
