Really enjoyed our short stay, wished we had had more time, and will hopefully be back again in the near future.
I have been to this property many times and it is always of a high standard, extremely clean, comfortable and full of all the appliances you should need. It's a perfect base for walking around the local arra and the view from the apartment is fantastic.
We stayed here in late August 2016, on arrival we were met with a welcome pack including a bottle of wine which went down very well. The house is very large and quite deceiving from the outside. It was immaculately clean. It is just a short distance from the zoo and supermarkets. It has a lovely summerhouse with furnishings a large patio table and a outside heater for the patio. The garden is tiered and my only suggestion would be to fence and gate one of the garden tiers just for young children but other than that we have no negatives. Many thanks for a lovely holiday base and we will stay ag...more
Jayasri is perfection, comfort & location. My wife & I stayed over Easter holiday weekend it was fantastic, the cottage is close to all the amenities. No internet seems to be a problem for some people but I think this cottage is perfect place for a real family holiday. Will definitely book again very soon.
What a fantastic barn!! Wonderful setting, very peaceful and breathtaking views. Accommodation was comfortable and to a high standard. Owners were fantastic, very helpful and always on hand if anything was needed. Drive to the actual barn once off the main road was roughly 10 minutes but the drive was so beautiful and the scenery was amazing that it was something we all looked forward to on our journeys to and from! Shops were close by and the drive into Torquay took 25 minutes so it was a good base to travel around the area. Would highly recommend staying and we will definitely look to stay h...more
This is one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in for some years. From the welcoming mince pies, Christmas tree, milk and teabags to the comfort and 'homely' feel of the cottage. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for a holiday stay. Every room is big and comfortable and little touches like pictures on the wall, clocks and ornaments make it feel like home. I could go on and on but there are too many things to praise. It is just about the best place to stay Torbay
We stayed here as a family of four on a self-catering holiday to visit relatives in the area, but it's a perfect retreat for anyone looking for a bit of peace and quiet in a natural setting. The house is right in the heart of Devon sheep country and next-door to a coarse fishery, so there is an abundance of local wildlife. Waterfowl and hedgerow birds are in abundance. Keep an eye out for the local fox who regularly stops by on his morning rounds. The house is clean, well appointed, yet full of olde world charm. The caretakers live right next door and are lovely people. Exeter is a 20 min driv...more
Mark and Julia were extremely helpful and welcoming and we would be happy to stay again if in the area
Excellent clean and tidy accommodation (Stanley Apartment 1) with plenty of room and off road parking. Great views of Paignton pier and of Torquay and a short walking distance to the seafront and shops. A very reasonable price too. What more could you ask for.
This is a lovely small cosy self contained annex to the owners home. The owners are not intrusive and we felt very private. It is well provided and well maintained accommodation. The patio has a pull out veranda for those hot days. Another plus the bathroom is not 'en suite' (no need to disturb a partner who might want a lie in) The views are amazing right from the sea, the river, the Ness, Shaldon even Dartmoor. Of course to pay for these amazing views you need to navigate a steep hill to arrive at the accommodation. However when we went out for meals in the evening to Teignmouth or Shaldon w...more
Just returned home from a very enjoyable long weekend at Mount Braddon Mews. Cannot fault the accommodation or service in any way..little bit of a climb down into town but once you find the short cuts it,s much easier. Will definitely return and will highly recommend to others..
What an excellent holiday acccomadation, quiet location just what you need .On arrival found bungalow had been decorated for Xmas. Inside every thing had been catered for down to poo bags for dogs .Would recommend this holiday home to anyone Chris & Rachel keep up the good work
Booked this property for a family Chritmas, 8 stayed, ages ranged from 8 to 89. Plenty of space for everyone, and facilities were very good. The oven was a bit small cooking Christamas dinner for that number, but we managed making use of the microwave as well. We all loved the views and watching the changes at each time of day and dependant on the weather. Even walked to the seafront on Boxing Day, although too hilly for the oldest member of our party. Would definitely recommend this property, and imagine it would be fantastic in the summer to use the terrace and have the folding doors open to...more
Great location, handy for all the attractions. Everything you need is provided, with a good welcome pack and instructions on use of heating etc.
This house is lovely, clean and spacious. If you have kids great location as field at the back. You are overlooked especially by one neighbour who looks into the garden. Great location for babbacombe seafront, walking distance. Driving distance for Torquay but only 5 mins and you are there. Would recommend this house. But make sure you read instruction folder for parking !!!!!
We had a great week in the "pink cottage" as our daugters called it, fully equipped for a comfortable stay, a real home from home. The little touches were so thoughtful, fresh flowers, freshly baked scones and jam. The childens room had a gorgeous litttle teddie on the bed which my youngest fell on love with, and we were very kindy allowed to have when dear Sandie knew how much she loved it, Thank you!! The garden was also amazing for the gorgeous summer evenings we were blessed with, summer house, barbeque, and fab week had by us all.
We took both Hesketh Mews Port and Hesketh Mews Starboard so our whole family could enjoy Christmas together - 6 children aged 4-12 and 7 adults. Both properties were well presented - spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfortable. The location was excellent with something for all ages. The kids loved the beach, the adults even took a (brief) Boxing Day dip! Service from the agent was faultless, value for money excellent. As you can tell, we all enjoyed an wonderful break.
The bungalow is ideally situated for a peaceful holiday with lovely views of Dartmoor and its surroundings. The cows were grazing in a field nearby and rabbits and birds were seen in the vicinity. Prickly ball farm (hedgehog hospital) is across the way and our grandchildren enjoyed the animals and the play equipment. All in all, we had a great holiday as the weather was good for the whole week.
Clean, comfortable accommodation, equipped with everything you need, including iron, ironing board and hairdryer. Would stay again and recommend to others. Apartment at top of a flight of stairs so unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. No Wi-Fi access. Visiting family so location was excellent not too far from centre of Paignton and transport links. Front of property was disheartening and didn't reflect the high standard of the accommodation, the entrance to the apartment is at the side of the building.
We really enjoyed our stay at Sunny bank. It was great for the family holiday we had planned and we'll defiantly be coming back! The accommodation was perfect for us.
We stayed at Hesketh Mews for a family Christmas of 3 generations. The property itself we could not fault. Despite being filled to its capacity it was still spacious and very comfortable and being over three floors benefitted the age ranges in our family giving us all space. Having the 3 loos was ideal and no queues for a shower or bath. The kitchen was very well equipped and we were able to cook a full Christmas dinner having plenty of utensils, crockery, pots & pans and serving dishes etc. It had everything we required to meet our needs with the dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and Wi...more
not my first time in the cottage. Everything was as excellent as during my previous visit. I would especially like to mention the excellent equipment of the kitchen. One minor thing: I am not sure if the given information in the user´s booklet about the garbage collection (Thursdays) is still up-to-date as there was no Thursday collection during my stay
Loved the apartment back in early June so much, we re-booked it for early September and had a couple of friends join us - who, like u,s described it as a home from home. No need to say more.
Great house handy for public transport shopping and eateries wifi added bonus would recommend may not be suitable for young children no downstairs loo
I found Stanley duplex to be very clean and comfortable. The flat is very large and having wi-fi included was a bonus. The bathroom downstairs was very spacious but the en-suite from the additional upstairs bedroom was slightly compact. The owners were very friendly. There is a sea view from the kitchen window and one of the bedrooms. The flat could be improved by.the additional of a dishwasher and washing machine.as these seem to be the only items missing. The flat is in a good position and is only a few minutes walk from the harbour where there are a few shops along with some restaurants & ...more
We had booked a 4 day short break in Paignton to visit family but also to have some family time. Our daughter is 18 months old so the location of being near to Paignton zoo was excellent for us, a short 5 minute walk away. Having the supermarket so close was also a bonus. The Daisies is ideally situated for getting into Paignton but also not too far away from Torquay. Goodrington Sands is very close and we spent quite a bit of time there, especially as the weather was so good during our stay. The facilities of the bungalow were excellent - we made full use of the washing machine! Very handy...more
Lovely house ideal for a family, has everything there that you need and beds very comfortable. The only thing we struggled a bit with was without a stair gate and our 17 month old with 3 flights of stairs as he can open doors, recommended taking one if needed! The views are just amazing we loved it, could've sat on the balcony with a drink for the whole week!
The property was very good value for money for our April stay. I knew by the photos that it wasn't the most modern of properties, however, If I was paying the August price I would expect a better finish in a couple of areas. The kitchen needs updating, it's very 1980's and one of the sofa's is different to the photo shown on the advert; it's one of those removable cover ones with flat fibre filled cushions so offers no support and needs replacing. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were modern and very clean (in fact the cleanest bathrooms I have ever found in a holiday let), alth...more
We had a very nice stay at this apartment and would not hesitate to book again. The apartment had all that we needed.
The accommodation at Westerland was excellent and the garden very restful with plenty of wild life to watch. It made a good base for my wife to revisit her childhood haunts in the vicinity of Marldon and to visit our favourite tourist spots such as Cockington and Berry Head. The Smokey House Inn is highly recommended for food and Occombe Farm for its food, shop and farm walks together with nearby Occombe Woods. The local Post Office and shop are well stocked and the staff very friendly.
This place is situated in a great location. The inside was clean and we'll kept however not particularly comfortable, ideal for a few nights stay.
Stayed here for work, apartment was ideal, clean and comfortable. Location is perfect only a few minutes walk into town.
We arrived at the bungalow and found easy secured parking.on entry found a comfortable well eqipped property with all the comforts of home.We relaxed immediately. The views were lovely of the ocean and Torquay. Cant say enough about the property. It could not be imroved upon. The neighbours were very welcoming and friendly and even the owner of the property came to see us too ask if everthing was ok. Cant recommend highly enough. Will definately visit in the future God willing.
Our stay at Sandpiper was very comfortable. On arriving at the property it was lovely and warm and we appreciated the welcoming tea tray. Everything in the property was clean and obviously looked after. The nearby shops being an easy walk away were a bonus and can recommend the local fish and chip shop. The location was ideal as it was easy to get on to the ring road for further afield destinations and just down the road the other way for the seafront. We would definitely stay again at this property.
Quiet location just a short walk to the Babbacombe sea front, but all amenities close by for a relaxing holiday.
A lovely clean apartment, fully fitted with everything you could need. The kids loved the box games. The only issue was parking, as my car was to big for the drive (I only have a Ford mondeo). Parking on the street was only between 6pm and 8am Monday to Friday.
Stayed here with my girlfriend for 5 nights and I would highly recommend. You're within 5 minutes from everything you're gonna need, View is absolutely amazing! The property itself, Very clean and cosy, Everything in the property that you'd need.
We all enjoyed our stay in the cottage a quiet tucked away gem. Lovely to see fresh flowers, tea, coffee and milk when we arrived. Would definitely stay again!!!!
All though the bungalow was a good size & well equipped it was in need of a lot of TLC there is bad mould patches in both bedrooms & main bathroom on the ceilings the covers on the Sofa's were in a bad state one had holes in we thought lemon for a rental property is not good , we understand it's a pet friendly place most rentals are these days but it took a couple of days for the smell to die down , but having said all that I would stay there again & I have a few friends with pets who I shall be recommending it to as it was well located to Torquay & teignmouth but on a quite eastate no noise a...more
A pleasant surprise when we arrived with a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits which were very much appreciated. The property was very clean and comfortable with plenty of room. The facilities in the property covered everything you needed and more we felt that the owners had gone that bit extra to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Nice location, flat was just refurbished so in excellent condition. Good views all round and in particular from the second bedroom. A pleasant stay, helped by the good weather !
House in lovely quiet position with really good view of the bay. The house is quite dated but was clean and tidy. However. the double bed and bedding, ie duvet and pillows are all desperate for replaceing. The pans and cups let the kitchen down badly too. If these items are replaced the house would feel much more 'comfortable'.
House is comfortable and has everything you need. Couple of niggles the door to ensuite needs attention as due to new carpet being fitted the door was very hard to open and close, also the toilet seat lid was missing. Overall we all enjoyed our holiday here.
A very spacious and light bungalow in a great spot for easy transport links into Brixham, Paignton and Torquay. The bungalow was clean and fully equipped, the garden was private, large, enclosed and peaceful. Some lovely views and dog walks close by (but check which beaches allow dogs in peak season), lots of useful information on local attractions was available. No Wi-Fi but a good selection of books and games available in the lounge. My only concern would be the front bedroom where the mattress was clean but very worn and very uncomfortable which was a shame as this was mentioned in reviews ...more
we enjoyed our stay very much at torwood gables Torquay a great place and gables was close to harbour and shops and a great pub Devon arms ferry a great way to travel to Brixham weather was good to lovely holiday
Comfortable enough apartment for a short break...a bit misleading that it sleeps 3, we were expecting a sofa bed or something when we booked it to find out when contacted by the agent that this was as a baby being the 3rd person only...cot provided only. We bought a camping bed and made up a den for my 8 year old to make it feel a bit more special and everything was fine. Didn't realise initially that the apartment was part of the hotel complex so tried to get into the property from the rear...entrance a bit shabby, really feel the entrance should be via the courtyard with the current front ...more
We have been holidaying at pandora for the past couple of years and found it suited our needs perfectly! we have found it clean and spacious and in excellent condition, except for the sun lounge which was a bit dusty and had some insect inhabitants! The ironing board could do with replacing; it doesn't stand properly... The best part was the friendly helpful service, when we wanted to change our arrival date, when we left something behind, and whenever we were in contact!
