Really enjoyed our short stay, wished we had had more time, and will hopefully be back again in the near future.
Well equipped apartment with wonderful views.Ideal base for exploring the wider area .Good public transport on the doorstep .
A lovely, clean and very comfortable cottage. Very well situated for the seafront, 5 mins walk, and the train and bus stations. Just a very slight incline to reach the cottage from the main road. Cottage very well equipped but could possibly do with offering free wi fi. A good base for exploring the region either by car or public transport.
This is the second year running we have been to Torquay and last year the property we rented was in a different location was beautiful so did not know what to expect. But i have to say the Mount Braddon Mews we rented this year was just as nice. perfect location, very quiet and parking space. very tastefully decorated with all the mod cons we required. there was even bucket and spades, crabbing nets for the kids to use in the garage. All in all it was perfect for our needs. FANTASTIC HOLIDAY.
Another brilliant week at deer park barn. Beautiful surroundings, perfect location and very welcoming owners make it a great base for touring Torbay and surrounding areas Already planning a return trip next year
This is one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in for some years. From the welcoming mince pies, Christmas tree, milk and teabags to the comfort and 'homely' feel of the cottage. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for a holiday stay. Every room is big and comfortable and little touches like pictures on the wall, clocks and ornaments make it feel like home. I could go on and on but there are too many things to praise. It is just about the best place to stay Torbay
Cant fault the holiday home, we had the best time there, a short walk down hill to the heart of torquay. mr and mrs bell were fabulous, nothing too much trouble and made to feel welcome. hopefully we will be staying there again in future holidays. have already recomended to others
Thoroughly enjoyed staying in this clean and comfortable apartment. Very well kept and suitably equipped for family of four. Two good electric showers. Warm and cosy as in roof of building but well ventilated with large windows (beautifully clean!) and ceiling fans. Handy having parking on site. Well located for Paignton and Goodrington Sands, both a short walk away. Plenty of places to eat and shop very close by.
We have stayed here a number of times and found Betty and Bill to be excellent and very helpful hosts. The bonus is that the cottage is only a mile away from family
Had great time cosy place to stay, everthing you need for a great holiday. ben loved the garden , weather made our week
Excellent property, clean, good facilities, excellent WiFi, stunning views across to Torquay town centre. Due to location and big hills transport required to go into Torquay or Paignton but also local bus service and local shops within 1 minute walk. Will be returing in the future.
Really nice unobtrusive owners. Found the apartment just what we needed. Don't know why all the remarks on the parking we have a focus estate and neither of us had a problem! Easy. All in all a really fantastic holiday Thank you
What a lovely home away from home. Spotlessly clean and tidy with everything you could need for a week away.
We took both Hesketh Mews Port and Hesketh Mews Starboard so our whole family could enjoy Christmas together - 6 children aged 4-12 and 7 adults. Both properties were well presented - spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfortable. The location was excellent with something for all ages. The kids loved the beach, the adults even took a (brief) Boxing Day dip! Service from the agent was faultless, value for money excellent. As you can tell, we all enjoyed an wonderful break.
We had a lovely stay could not believe what value for money. Apartment was well looked after modern and exceptionally clean. Nice quiet location with off road parking.
Fabulous location. Very comfortable with good facilities. The parking permit and car park proximity to cottage was a real bonus.
Our 1st stay at Roydon Ball and hopefully not our last we had a very comfortable peaceful and tranquil holiday Cynthia the Owner was very helpful and is a very nice lady we would recommend Roydon Ball and give it 10 /10
Apartment was clean and tidy, with enough space for 2 Adults and 2 teenagers. Location was good, short walk to both beach and town. Kitchen facilities were ok, 'freezer' was only an ice box in fridge and a full set of saucepans not just 1 would be great, as it's a self catering flat, glad I took my slow cooker! Otherwise it was a good apartment as a base and would recommend to others....May be WiFi would be an advantage but made my teenagers find other things to do :-)
Excellent stay beach close by, but a 15 minute walk to nearest shop. Would have also liked a good restaurant within walking distance.
Great house handy for public transport shopping and eateries wifi added bonus would recommend may not be suitable for young children no downstairs loo
Pleasant holiday home, very impressed with the standard and quantity of items provided for our comfort. Didn't have to "make do" at all. This was our second visit, the previous time being 4 years ago. We were not disappointed, it was just as we remembered. The main attraction of this holiday home for us is the location which is great for doggy families and those of us who like to be able to walk to a choice of pubs without being in a town centre. Two slightly negative comments would be the parking - there are 2 spaces which were adequate for us but It is all very dependent upon the next doo...more
very easy to find had no problem flat was very clean well looked after parking a bit of a problem but easy to get around parking around corner. had a great time in devon would book oldway again.
This house was a great base for our holiday. It was clean and had everything we needed and had great views. However the sofas in the lounge were very uncomfortable and my partner and I both had bad backs by the end of the week. The beds were clean and comfortable but unfortunately the toilet was broken and had to have a plumber out twice to fix the flush over the bank holiday weekend. Unable to fix without parts so we had to make do for the week, not so good for a family of 5 but we weren't there much as out enjoying the beautiful area. Would recommend apart from the sofas.
I found Stanley duplex to be very clean and comfortable. The flat is very large and having wi-fi included was a bonus. The bathroom downstairs was very spacious but the en-suite from the additional upstairs bedroom was slightly compact. The owners were very friendly. There is a sea view from the kitchen window and one of the bedrooms. The flat could be improved by.the additional of a dishwasher and washing machine.as these seem to be the only items missing. The flat is in a good position and is only a few minutes walk from the harbour where there are a few shops along with some restaurants & ...more
Overall Accommodation was fantastic, extremely clean, everything you need (and more) real home from home feeling. Talk Talk TV (which we eventually got used to lol)) Free Wi-Fi (kids enoyed playing their games at night time in their bedrooms. Huge Tv in master bedroom & Lounge (well much bigger than ours) Great having a seperate Dining Room for family meals. Fabulous having 2 seperate bathrooms (brilliant having a bath for those bath bomb evenings ladies). Enourmous kitchen with medium size additional breakfast area, full size fridge freezer, dishwasher (OMG), coffee machine. mircow...more
Ideal location for the town centre 5 minute walk.lovely view of the sea and marnia from balcony. The accomdation was very clean and 3 levels suited us as a family, kids could have there own space.tea & coffee a plenty on arrival was a nice touch.3 showers and 3 tiolets was good too. My only gripe was there was only 1 key but no hardship reallly.
A lovely, clean and well maintained property, so close to all amenities. Station, town centre, cafes, restaurants and pubs all within easy walking distance. So much going on in Teignmouth.
Great location for nearby beaches, walking and attractions, plenty of room with a good size garden in a nice village.
We had a very nice stay at this apartment and would not hesitate to book again. The apartment had all that we needed.
This our third stay at this superb apartment, but compared to previous visits we encountered a couple of poor standard things: many utensils in the kitchen had bits of food on the back of them and some plates in the cupboards had food remains on them, also the living room two level coffee table had food remains on it and on cleaning it the cloth revealed how dirty it really was!. The roller blind which had previously been over the French doors to the balcony was laying on top of a radiator nearby! It was the end of the season and whilst one expects some wear & tear, it would be helpful if p...more
The accommodation at Westerland was excellent and the garden very restful with plenty of wild life to watch. It made a good base for my wife to revisit her childhood haunts in the vicinity of Marldon and to visit our favourite tourist spots such as Cockington and Berry Head. The Smokey House Inn is highly recommended for food and Occombe Farm for its food, shop and farm walks together with nearby Occombe Woods. The local Post Office and shop are well stocked and the staff very friendly.
Stayed here for work, apartment was ideal, clean and comfortable. Location is perfect only a few minutes walk into town.
We arrived at the bungalow and found easy secured parking.on entry found a comfortable well eqipped property with all the comforts of home.We relaxed immediately. The views were lovely of the ocean and Torquay. Cant say enough about the property. It could not be imroved upon. The neighbours were very welcoming and friendly and even the owner of the property came to see us too ask if everthing was ok. Cant recommend highly enough. Will definately visit in the future God willing.
Our stay at Sandpiper was very comfortable. On arriving at the property it was lovely and warm and we appreciated the welcoming tea tray. Everything in the property was clean and obviously looked after. The nearby shops being an easy walk away were a bonus and can recommend the local fish and chip shop. The location was ideal as it was easy to get on to the ring road for further afield destinations and just down the road the other way for the seafront. We would definitely stay again at this property.
Myself, husband and mother spent w/c 5th August at Sea Peeps in St Maryschurch. We usually spend a week every year visiting nearby relatives in Torquay and book into B&B's however this has become costly so this year looked at self catering and came across Sea Peeps on the Blue River Cottages website. This is very good value for money as the place has two good sized bedrooms one with a double bed the other with twin beds, a good size living room with a two and three seater settee, dining room and kitchen along with downstairs bathroom. It was very clean however at first felt like there was ...more
We had previously always stayed at nearby Kingsway bungalow - we fancied a change but were disappointed. The telephone in the hallway was covered in dust as was the bookcase in the lounge. There was a large dead spider on the bedroom wall - the weather turned chilly later in the week and only one small convector heater was available. There was no coffee table and we had to use a picnic table we had with us and the sofa was not fit for purpose - so uncomfortable. We would not recommend this property nor make a return visit.
The property is very nice, clean and has almost everything a small family needs. The location is central for visiting Torquay but I would advise driving as the hill the property is on is very steep. Lots to do around the area (again driving is essential). Only problem found is that the property really needs a proper shower fitted with a screen or curtain installed instead of tap mounted unit. Very tricky to use without soaking the floor otherwise!!!
Stayed here with my girlfriend for 5 nights and I would highly recommend. You're within 5 minutes from everything you're gonna need, View is absolutely amazing! The property itself, Very clean and cosy, Everything in the property that you'd need.
A pleasant surprise when we arrived with a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits which were very much appreciated. The property was very clean and comfortable with plenty of room. The facilities in the property covered everything you needed and more we felt that the owners had gone that bit extra to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
The Bungalow was lovely, it had everything you could possibly need or want, the garden was gorgeous. The location was just perfect for exploring the beautiful area of Devon. We will definitely be back. :)
House in lovely quiet position with really good view of the bay. The house is quite dated but was clean and tidy. However. the double bed and bedding, ie duvet and pillows are all desperate for replaceing. The pans and cups let the kitchen down badly too. If these items are replaced the house would feel much more 'comfortable'.
Really enjoyed our stay at Preston Down, the Bungalow is easily accessed and gives a good home from home feel to it. All rooms in good condition and great location for local shops. Lovely walk down to the Preston beach to with great views. Looking forward to staying there again soon.
House is comfortable and has everything you need. Couple of niggles the door to ensuite needs attention as due to new carpet being fitted the door was very hard to open and close, also the toilet seat lid was missing. Overall we all enjoyed our holiday here.
we enjoyed our stay very much at torwood gables Torquay a great place and gables was close to harbour and shops and a great pub Devon arms ferry a great way to travel to Brixham weather was good to lovely holiday
Comfortable enough apartment for a short break...a bit misleading that it sleeps 3, we were expecting a sofa bed or something when we booked it to find out when contacted by the agent that this was as a baby being the 3rd person only...cot provided only. We bought a camping bed and made up a den for my 8 year old to make it feel a bit more special and everything was fine. Didn't realise initially that the apartment was part of the hotel complex so tried to get into the property from the rear...entrance a bit shabby, really feel the entrance should be via the courtyard with the current front ...more
We have been holidaying at pandora for the past couple of years and found it suited our needs perfectly! we have found it clean and spacious and in excellent condition, except for the sun lounge which was a bit dusty and had some insect inhabitants! The ironing board could do with replacing; it doesn't stand properly... The best part was the friendly helpful service, when we wanted to change our arrival date, when we left something behind, and whenever we were in contact!
