My husband and I wanted a Xmas detox and this was the perfect place to do so!
Barbara and Mark were really great hosts, and when we arrived there was a generous spread laid out for us (box of celebrations, bottle of wine, scones, Xmas crackers etc).
The cottage is lovely and in a beautiful part of Cornwall. There are lots of picturesque walks nearby, and many more further afield. It's a great base for a relaxing countryside break.
We'll definitely come back!
We arrived in glorious sunshine and meet by the dogs, after a short introduction with Mark and Barbara we had the pleasure of Marks Cornish Cream Tea words are not enough just superb.
The B&B is part of a three cottage complex a shot drive from the restaurants and bars in St Maws so we dined there most nights.
However going back to Roundhouse Barns was always a special place, quite and peaceful with good walks from your room, out and about on the Roseland.
This was our second stay at Roundhouse Barn Holidays. We loved Cockle Cottage but it was unavailable and so booked he Dairy. We loved it as much, if not more. We arrived early in the day to a hamper of items enabling us to cook breakfast, unpack and set straight off for a lovely afternoon walk, before returning to enjoy freshly baked scones! . This set the scene for a fabulous week. we walked miles, cooked lovely meals in the well equipped kitchen and slept soundly in the comfy super king sized bed! The cottage also has plenty of storage space, a cosy lounge, with sky tv and music system, and...more
Cockle Cottage is a delight in all respects. The attention to detail is rarely seen in other holiday lettings and the accommodation is extremely comfortable. The brand new king size bed, the luxury bath, the walk in shower and the wood burner in the light and airy sitting room, were all much appreciated. We'll certainly be returning!
