We booked the Gamekeeper's Cottage again for a family week together. We had previously visited seven years ago so we knew what to expect, and that is an excellent place to stay in a stunning location. It is simply a beautiful and peaceful location. The cottage worked for all of us and it was easy to add a third smaller bed to one room to suite our needs. We booked the BBQ butchers delivery ahead of arriving and that worked well. Our 4th Stay at Rivercatcher. Every thing as good as before, lovely quiet position, on great stretch of the River. We bought our paddle boards, and had some nice afternoons on the river. You have to make the effort to stay here, as 20mins from nearest shops in Bala but well worth it.
This was my second stay at Hyggelig and just as nice as my first. The cabin is so clean and well equipped with everything you need. Unlike other places I have stayed the hot tub is checked every day and emptied after each guests. Rivercatcher is such a beautiful, quiet and peaceful place you can't help but relax there. Lots to do in the area if you could bare to leave your lovely cabin. I can't wait to return.

We stayed for a long weekend at Rivercatcher in the Gezzelig log cabin - it was a lovely break, the lodge is really well laid out, very comfortable and cosy. We really enjoyed the hot tub, which was very clean and tidy (and was maintained every day by the staff, to make sure it stayed that way). All round a lovely stay in a beautiful spot.
Amazing relaxing family holiday, cottage was just awesome! Flyfisher cottage gave us direct access to river for paddle boarding and canoeing. Our dog loved the garden and stayed on the bank watching us for ages. Great hosts and loads to do in the area. Bala was great for running, lake and ice creams! We’ll be back next year Thank you
Our family holiday was made so comfortable by staying here. We felt right at home straightaway and was able to have a grocery delivered to us. The hot tub was enjoyed everyday: evening, in the day and even on one occasion in the rain! This was the second time we have stayed here, and we’d do it again.

We had a brilliant stay at cwtch and can't fault anything! The Lodge was immaculate and equipped with everything we needed. We appreciated the lovely locally sourced welcome gifts and dog bowls, blankets, toys for our pups. Great location for exploring and stunning view of the hills from the lodge. The enclosed secure garden was perfect for our dogs. Decking and hot tub area nice and private, not overlooked. Very comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again and 100% recommend!
