Comfort personified and a wonderful peaceful location in a fantastic cottage with all the amenities one could need. Beautiful cotton linen on ultra comfortable beds and wonderful soft towels. The added benefit of a free laundry room meant we didn't need to take a lot of clothing with us.
So often we have booked self-catering places to stay and they look so lovely and welcoming in the descriptions and and photos. Then when you arrive, its a bit disappointing. Rivercatcher has been the first place where it *exceeded* my expectations! Driving in everything looks amazing, the grounds are perfectly maintained, the buildings look great. And then you walk in, and its just wonderful. So much attention to detail, small little touches that make the cottage feel like a home, somewhere you immediately feel comfortable and want to unwind and relax. We had a wonderful time - superb for dogs, everything was catered for and it would be nice to see all other holiday lets around the country meeting the same standards, with fully enclosed gardens, dog showers and so much attention to detail. The air conditioning was a real must have over the last heat wave. Staff were very friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. We had some lovely walks around the side and incredible views - incredibly relaxing. We would definitely visit again.
We chose to stay at Rivercatcher on a friends recommendation for my 50th birthday and it did not disappoint! The cabins were spotless with all the items you would need, and all with a luxury touch. The views from the cabin were spectacular, and as it was so hot, we happily spent an afternoon or 2 in the secluded garden making the most of the scenery, luxury garden furniture and the hot tub. There are loads of beautiful walks nearby and access to incredible beaches. The dog had a blast and appreciated the added extras for him too. I can't rate Rivercatcher highly enough.
We stayed as a family of 5 with our dog at Flyfisher's Cottage and had a wonderful stay. The scenery surrounding the cottage is breath-taking and it was great to have a fully enclosed garden for the dog. Being by the river is idyllic and so peaceful. The cottage was very clean and supplied everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our teenage children enjoyed the hot tub every evening. the staff are very friendly and always happy to help if it's needed or advise on the local area. We enjoyed our stay the place is wonderfully peaceful and quite and the dog loved the river, not far from Bala if you need anything or like to eat out
Had a lovely relaxing break away, could not fault the cottage in any way, everything had been thoughtfully provided, could quite happily live here if I could, so tranquil. Perfect break away will definitely be back.
Third time return visit to Rivercatcher and our first in a lodge. So pleased we booked the lodge as the recently installed air conditioning was fantastic in the 30c + heat we had for most of the week! The hot tub was also amazing, relaxing in the evening looking out onto superb views,with the distant bleating of sheep. So relaxing! Rivercatcher is beautiful maintained and looked after by the dedicated team and it is an absolute credit to you all. Aled, as ever extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you!
