12 Coolin Drive is a well appointed family holiday cottage just a few minutes walk from the town centre of Portree, Isle of Skye. On a quiet residential street it has a modern kitchen, lounge / dining area with wood burning stove, a family bathroom with bath and walk-in shower, two double bedrooms and a single bedroom. There is private parking to the rear of the property and street parking to the front.

This lovely cottage was perfect for our one week stay. It was roomy, clean, and charming. Beautiful walks in the mountains and bus trips to Quiraing and Dunvegan Castle were our highlight. We did not have a car but we had a wonderful experience in the highlands. Highly recommend.

Just come back from a week's break in staying in this home from home bungalow. Extremely clean and well furnished and in a great central location for exploring the island. Lovely views too and only a few minutes walk from the bustling centre off Portree. Couldnt ask for any more really. We would definitely come back as good value for the money and the lovely owner was very attentive. Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent cottage, wonderful holiday.

The cottage was reasonably priced for a week in mid August. It is well located about 2 minutes walk into Portree. Everything inside is really nice, clean carpets, lovely crisp bed linen and comfortable beds, nice fluffy towels, a very clean and well kept bathroom and a nice kitchen with nice clean utensils. There were other useful things including nice tea-towels, teabags, bin bags and washing up liquid. There is also a stove in the front room and wifi which works. Probably one of the best self-catering cottages I have stayed in. There are spectacular views to both front, back and side. The front views are the best of the Cuillins although we didn't see them until the last day! The Old Man of Storr is visible from the side terrace but it is very midgy so you are unlikely to want to sit there for long. There are views of the harbour to the rear.

A very nice cottage that's clean, obviously well-maintained and very well situated as a base for visiting downtown Portree and accessing the surrounding region. The bathroom is the weak link in an otherwise ideal place - the sink and small shelf/drawer unit are simply too small and there is no light over the sink which makes shaving awkwardl. Also the bathroom lighting could be better as using the tub with a light is like being under a spotlight. A way to turn off the ceiling fan would also help so that bathing is a bit more relaxing. Otherwise a very nice place that we are happy to recommend.

Great beds, although some extra wool blankets would have been nice.
Kitchen well equipped (also impressive selection of cleaning supplies).
No remarkable view, but only 5-10 min walk to centre (depending on individual fitness ).
