The house has been very sensitively converted from an old farm building, with nice exposed beams giving it a classic look. The interior is well-laid out, and very comfortable. The wood-burning stove was very welcome in the winter, when we were there. The owners were friendly, responsive and very helpful. The location, just outside Chichester, is ideal for anyone wanting to enjoy the countryside with easy access to shops. I would stay here again.

Walker can turn round in the hallway and fit around furniture in all rooms. Enough room for frame round either loo. Took my camping recliner as most seats are too low for me. Dining table and chairs sturdy enough to lean on to get up and down. Instruction booklets in black folder helpful. Could do with how to turn off heated towel rails (landlady came round immediately to do it when I asked). Where is water stop cock?
If you have a person who feels the cold, bring along a small heater. I found the temperature just right, but I don't put on my heating until it's under 12 degrees indoors (I am a source of great heat). I put the spare single duvet over the double one on mum's bed and kept her snuggly with hot water bottles and heat pads.
I stupidly tried Google maps to find the place. It was way out as usual. The road has no sign for the name. Putting "Number One" more often in the directions (didn't read the title) would have helped me. I was frazzled after the scenic route from Google.
All in all a very convenient, comfortable place to take my mum when I kidnap her to let my brother rest. Easy to keep an eye on her and let her have a little privacy at the same time. The wooden flooring makes noises apparent in case of a fall on needing assistance, helpful.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Run and 3 years on from our first stay the property and location still have the same wow factor. The property was very clean and all we could need was available in the property. Beds were very comfy and the house was lively and warm. Will certainly recommend.

We had a wonderful time in this house. There are no stairs to climb and an excellent kitchen. It is a peaceful place for comming down and relax in the garden. The property was very clean and perfect prepared with all necessary things you need.

Only scored 3 for cleanliness because the lounge suite covers are very grubby and smelly. Although the beds are extremely comfortable the duvets and pillows needed laundering as they had an odour about them. This was our second visit to The Run this year and we thought the above had deteriorated since then. We have said "No" to "Would you recommend this property to others" due to the comments above.

Also, a basic welcome pack would be appreciated in such a rural setting, other self-catering properties we have used in recent years all seem to provide one.

All linen is professionally laundered before every visit so we will raise with this housekeeping immediately. If we had been notified during your rental we would have changed anything you weren't happy with right away. We have asked housekeeping to take a look at the living room furniture and provide extra cleaning and asked them to advise if there is anything they can't fix.

They say you can't have it all but arguably at The Run, you can. Located in a quiet rural idyll but within easy reach of Chichester either by car, bike or on foot the property is spacious and well equipped with everything you could need in a home from home. You also have the coast and local attractions like Goodwood and the Weald & Downland museum nearby. We stayed here for weeks and didn't want to leave. Walking up the trundle/St Roche's Hill is a must (you can always drive to the car park if you don't fancy the walk) as you get an amazing panorama (from the trig point especially) stretching for miles. The trundle even features a mobile coffee van at the top (excellent brownies) and the wonderful Royal Oak pub near the bottom.

The landlords are nearby and were friendly, helpful and welcoming, we couldn't have asked for more.

For anyone planning a working holiday I found the internet to be fast enough for my needs in that regard at around 23mbps download speed.

We can't recommend this property highly enough and Henry Adams were always very helpful when we had a question.

A wonderful quiet, peaceful location for relaxing. Accommodation was excellent with well stocked kitchen for self-catering. Location was ideal for exploring the South Downs area, Chichester and the coast. Plenty of things to see and do. Great for walking, biking, beach and general sightseeing. Will definitely visit again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2nd stay at the Run. Very peaceful and comfortable to return to in the evening. It is nice to know that it is heated, very efficiently by an air source heat pump, very green! We loved being encouraged to visit the beautiful bluebell wood on the farm, which we did one evening. This is a very attractive part of West Sussex with many very good wildlife sites to visit (Sussex wildlife Trust and RSPB) and pretty good for cycling too.

The Run has everything you need in a holiday home. All Covid safe and secure.
Location was perfect plenty of walking, cycling routes from the door and bus stop in the village to take you up onto the South Downs way or into Chichester. We had Groceries delivered on our arrival easy to organised and choice of super markets. We visited Chichester Marina, Tinwood Estate, Goodwood and Kingsley Vale. And cycled to Selsey, Hayling Island and the Witterings.
No complaints at all thank you for a great 5 night stay.

We enjoyed our stay enormously. It was a wonderfully peaceful. The super barn conversion had lovely outlooks and there were plenty of quiet country roads through beautiful countryside to explore on our bikes. It was reassuringly spotless and wonderfully comfortable, especially after turning up the heating slightly. There was also plenty of dry wood available for the wood burning stove. We found the television difficult to operate. Clearly written instructions would have been useful but it was very nice to meet the owner who came round very promptly to fix it.

It was perfect!

1 quibble - no dishcloths available, nor any dishwasher tablets.

My partner and I had a lovely five night stay here. We were house hunting in the area and it made a perfect base. Large, comfy barn, excellent kitchen and bathrooms. Owner really helpful when we had problems with the TV. Enclosed sunny garden. We went for a couple of good walks from the property along quiet country lanes. Very much recommended.

Lovely stay in a great location within short driving distance of a number of family friendly attractions and days out (we have four year old twins to enterain!). The accommodation is clean and comfortable and equipped with most of the items needed for a week-long stay. The lounge is cosy and inviting and the rooms are all good sizes, enough for little ones to happily run around and play. The two showers and toilets, plus fantastically deep bath, is a bonus for a family group too. Beautiful peaceful surroundings to wake up to each morning and come back to each evening after a busy day out. This is our second visit to this property and we will be returning again I am sure!

This was our fourth stay at The Run. As always out latest stay was a very high quality experience - the cottage is warm, super clean & well maintained, beds are marvellously comfortable, the modern kitchen well equipped with an excellent cook top & oven and two bathrooms, making it a comfortable stay for four adults. A cosy sitting room with wood fire tops it all off. With heaps of walks on the South Downs, all that Chichester has to offer just a few minutes away or just doing not much at all but enjoying the beautiful countryside, The Run is the ideal spot for a perfect, relaxing holiday.

On our arrival we knew we had made a great choice. The barn was clean and comfortable.
Everything was high spec from the showers to the kitchen.
The underfloor heating was easy to use, the kitchen fully equipped and a fab wood burner.
We stayed with our 3 small children and it was very practical.
The location was great at the foot of the Downs yet 10 mins to Chichester.
We would definitely hope to come back our only issue is them not allowing dogs, we would have loved to have brought our dog.

Lovely quiet location with open views and small private garden, foldaway canvas chairs provided. 10 minute walk across the fields to The Earl of March for great food and atmosphere.

House is well equipped. Beds are comfortable. Bedrooms are small but adequate. Wardrobes and drawers plentiful.

2 parking spaces in front of property.

Soundproofing good, you can't hear any noise from neighbouring let (Semi-detached)

We had a lovely time at THE RUN, because of the location for our activities ( horse riding, golf, pleasure flights at Goodwood) and the barn is very cozy.
We are looking to come back on next summer.
I would recommend to provide some information about the wifi connection and how it works for the garbage collection since we had to ask the owner for this.

Fantastic but it would have helped to have an instruction sheet on how to use the washer/dryer, how to do the TV channels, where or what the wifi password is and a little more info on places to go and explore. We couldn't find any ice block trays either. We decided to go to the office in Chichester to find out these things but found out from the sales office that the holiday rental office was not even in Chichester so a lovely lady in sales tried to help by calling but got no response from the holiday rental office, she even rang emergency number with no response, finally after an hour someone called back, this woman was not even working but came to the barn to try and help us and it wasn't easy for her either but she finally got it so thanks to those two wonderfull ladies.

The cottage was clean and modern, well and efficiently heated and the beds comfortable, and everything worked well. It felt a little clinically bare (we had specifically looked for somewhere 'cosy' for Christmas) with lots of huge white walls etc. But it worked fine. We'd specifically asked about coffee-making facilities and told there was a cafeteria - but there wasn't, so we had to buy one. Overall a very good location and extremely comfortable and well maintained property. Being in the South Downs which attracts cyclists and walkers, we could suggest offering a secure place to keep cycles outside the cottage? And a bucket for cleanings cycles and boots after a day getting muddy!
