Cottage is with everything in it, all very well, with a beautiful garden what can used by the customers, in a very beautiful area.
Lovely cottage on the mill pond. Wonderful big kitchen, dining and living area. Great Emsworth location for walks and for shops and restaurants.
My stay at this wonderful cosy cottage was almost 3 months. As a photographer and a friend of nature I literally fell in love with this beautiful place surounded by plants, open fields and nice hiking possibilities. The place is clean and friendly my only complaint was the time was too short. The lodge itself is fairly compact but still has a fully kitted kitchen, small dining area (incl. flat screen TV), a decent sized bathroom and 2 bedrooms:. The private rear courtyard is just perfect to have breakfast in the summer. There is also wash room in a small shed across the front carport a...more
The cottage is the perfect place if you look for a remote place in the english countryside. You may even see deer from the bed rooms which have a unique view into the natural scenery. The living room and kitchen are very spacious and comfortable. Sightseeing spots like Petworth House or Arundel Castle are just a few minutes drive away. Last but not least - the landlady Clare is very friendly and helpful. It was a perfect stay for us!
Surima is a clean, comfortable and convenient home from home within walking distance of the centre of Chichester. We enjoilyed our stay here very much.
A lovely well kept, comfortable and well equipped home. With 5 adults, a teenager and a baby we were very well provided for. We even managed with the one bathroom between us although an en suite would have been lovely. The property is up an outside set of stairs which we managed very well even with a pushchair, I think some people may struggle though so need to be aware of this as it was not clear in the listing. Overall a very good place to stay and not far to travel to the places we needed.
The cottage provided a peaceful retreat in beautiful surroundings.Tasteful decor and all equipment we needed for our stay.Within easy reach of places to visit. Only sorry when we had to leave. Useful hint shower over bath and to get in might not be so easy for less able bodied.
10 of us took up residence for a week in this lovely property overlooking the river. The house was amazing, unbelievable comfy and extremely well equipped. The house flowed and provided room for people to get away from others for a quiet read. The bed linen was lovely and the towels fluffy, something that is not always featured in rented property. It was safe for children, had a lovely garden and electric gates with plenty of room for cars on the drive. The owners of the property were extremely helpful, telephoning to make sure everything was OK. All in all everybody had a great week and...more
Simply lovely accommodation and a great location. Two super pubs in walking distance with a ramble across some fields and footpaths.
Enjoyed will be back ASAP Second visit and just as enjoyable and of course good weather helped......The boathouse is a lovely place to go for coffee and cake late afternoon before having a walk before dinner......can't fault any of it....
We have stayed at 17 Quinton Fields 3 times. We live in New York and we have elderly family members in Emsworth, so the apartment makes a good base for us. We love it. It's spacious and spotlessly clean. The furnishings are simple and tasteful. The modern kitchen makes meal preparation easy. The area is very quiet and just a short drive from Emsworth town. On our recent visit, a relative stayed with us, so it was useful to have 2 full bathrooms (an en-suite and a family). The place is well-equipped with everything guests might need. Just one small observation - it was very chilly on our rece...more
Perfect village location. Traditional cottage with superb modern features. Close to hills, beaches, chichester, midhurst, goodwood. Nice pub at the partridge.
Very well equipped and comfortable Lodge. Peaceful location and ideal for walkers and bird watchers.
We had a wonderful weekend at The Salterns, it is a beautifully appointed apartment. Highly recommend.
This house is beautifully decorated and has stunning views from the back of the house. We'd definitely stay again.
Very comfortable stay. Walking distance of the city centre. Everything worked well. Plenty of parking. As it is a ground floor apartment some people might find the fact that if you lift the blinds to let light in, it feels as if you are in a fish bowl. But that is a question of taste. Not as quiet as hoped because of the building work opposite but that will be completed. Wifi connection erratic - some days none at all.
This apartment is very tastefully decorated and very well equipped with all that you need. Towels and linen excellent quality. Lovely location by the marina and walking around the harbour. Boathouse cafe in the marina good too. I would stay there again.
Everything about this cottage exceeded our expectations. Our hosts were absolutely brilliant. The surroundings and the garden are beautiful. The apartment is of a 5 star standard.
A very easy and comfortable stay, with thoughtful and generous owners. Would not hesitate to recommend it.
This flat was excellent with all the facilities required and in an excellent location . If we plan to stay in this area again the salterns would be our first port of call . The flat overlooks a beautiful harbour with plenty of good eating places nearby and some beautiful places nearby such as chichester and the arundel wetlands centre which we thoroughly enjoyed . The fob for raising the barriers was a bit unreliable but did work , possibly a battery issue . 2 weeks to return the deposit was a bit lengthy . These are minor issues and generally we were very happy with the flat and we would st...more
This is the perfect place to stay in Chichester, quiet but in walking distance of the city,The property has everything you need,a home from home, your car is safely parked off the road,There are pubs and restaurants all in easy walking distance and shops and market, would stay again
Very clean and well equipped. Good location with plenty of parking. Would stay there again. Would have liked a table and chairs in the garden.
The house is really lovely in the most fantastic location, overlooking the "pond" & a 2 minute walk to the sea & the Emsworth part of Chichester harbour, with the most beautiful walk all around the harbour edge & shore. We were so impressed with the house, it is bright & light & lots of lovely decorative touches & artwork which made it feel homely & welcoming. It is clearly a much loved home & we were privileged to stay there. The ground floor bedroom & bathroom were perfect for my elderly mum to avoid stairs in the night & 2 bathrooms were great for our family stay. We would return tomorrow &...more
Great place to stay for exploring the Sussex coast. Homely place with all the modern amenities, helpful having the owners close by who were very welcoming without being too intrusive. All in all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to any small family who like to get out and about!
Great enjoyable stay at this property. Very well equipped and comfortable, loved the downstairs bedroom with courtyard. and also balcony on 1st floor
We spent 10 very confortable days at Budgenor Lodge, with friends. We found the apartment very clean , had everything we needed
We found New Park Studio was comfortable, with all the conveniences ( such as laundry facilities, kitchen equipment, books, CD's and tourist information). Its location is also convenient: it is a short walk to the shops.
Our family had a lovely short break at the salterns at the end of May. The apartment was really clean, comfortable and very spacious. Nice big beds, good showers and a nice big bath. The kids loved the green space outside the apartment - plenty of space to run round, play games. Would stay again.
This is an excellent base for exploring Chichester and the surrounding coastline and forests. It was perfect for our family with the added bonus of a brilliant playground a short walk away. The photos do not do the house justice with the beautiful garden and a very high spec of furnishings throughout. Also excellent Value!
A wonderful half term week had by all for a much needed family get together. The space was perfect for all the kids to run around, play ball games and the games barn was a hit. There was also enough space to sit and read a book in peace while the children were busy doing other things.
The bungalow is tastefully furnished, it lacks bedroom wardrobe and draws in second bedroom which is not good for 2 couples, the cupboard in the hall could be used as a wardrobe very easily with a little thought, it did spoil our visit. The rest of the facilities were very nice. Tv very complicated with 4 handsets to make it usable. Nice situation for walking into Midhurst, and parking off road for the 2 cars was also great.
Our stay was due to repairs being done at home and my husband was unable to stay there due to health problems. It was perfect as it was very quiet and close to all amenities. The owners David and Anna are delightful, very friendly and helpful, even the neighbours were nice, not forgetting the daily visit by the cat looking in through the window and the antics of the birds nest building and the starlings putting on a daily show. Everything we needed was available. If we need to leave our home again we will definitely look to stay there first and recommend it to others.
Old Lock Cottage was an excellent place for three couples to stay - with a shower room each. Well equipped, spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the local walks, the beach at West Wittering, Chichester and the short ferry ride across the estuary to Bosham (seasonal). The walk from the ferry to Bosham is lovely.
Great location - nearby railway station was helpful. Lovely little village. Security deposit refunded quickly.
We stayed at 4 The Salterns for 9 nights recently with our two small dogs and loved our time there. It's not easy finding luxurious dog friendly holiday lets, so we were very pleased to find these. The apartment is beautifully designed, appointed and very comfortable, a real home from home feeling. The sunset views from the terrace are simply breath taking! Unfortunately we found the apartment hadn't been cleaned for our arrival, but to be fair both Henry Adams and the Premier Marinas did everything to rectify this swiftly and more, so they recovered the situation with excellent customer s...more
104 Orchard provided an excellent location affording an easy walking distance to Chichester Center and the rail station. Although we did not hire a car for what was our second visit to Sussex and Goodwood in particular, the lack of convenient parking may be an issue for some. Overall a clean and comfortable for a weekend or extended stay.
A friend and myself stayed here to celebrate a special birthday. The apartment was beautifully appointed looking directly onto the estuary and out over Chichester harbour. The apartment was clean, spacious and bright and with every conceivable comfort, and eating at The Deck brasserie only 5 mins walk on the marina was a plus. Lots to do and visit in the area. We arrived by train into Emsworth station which is only a short hop away and also walking back into the town was easy and convenient for shops and the weekends provisions . We had a glorious stay, we could have just stared at the view fo...more
Lovely well equipped property in a perfect location. Close to town but quiet rural spot surrounded by lively countryside and walks
We loved our stay at the Salterns ( 2nd week of June) The location was fantastic and the views from all windows was excellent. It was fantastic weather which of course helped a lot!! The standard of the apartment was very high quality and just wished we could have stayed longer!!
A fantastic location, the house was nice and made you feel at home. It was a family holiday and having the beach so close made the week and we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. The rooms and house was very spacious, this made it nice for all the family to have there own space. Certain parts of the house need modernising but it not a problem and had no effect on the stay at the house. We will hopefully be staying here again next year.
The bungalow in Carlton avenue was great. On arrival it was very clean & well presented. The welcome card, cake & basic provisions were very much appreciated. The property is comfortable for 4 people & the large garden is a great space with sun, shady areas & outside dining. It backs onto a school & is therefore very quiet outside school times. The double bed was very comfortable although it feels small when accustomed to a king size at home. The decor & bedding clean & fresh. The kitchen is well appointed & the only thing we missed was a teapot! Haha. The bathroom is modern & well appointe...more
the apartment was in the centre of town, but was quiet ,and safe. there was plenty of room, and apart from the leather sofa being slippery!!! everything else was very comfortable. we would come again.
Really nice flat! The bathroom could be a little bit more user-friendly ;-) (shower can be only half-closed, no shelves or hooks to deposit your stuff near the washbasin). But apart from that everything was really good. Much space, very nice interior decoration, clean and at a perfectly central postion in Chichester.
We haved a problem with hot water at arriving and cleanliness of the house. Laura was very efficient and solved the problem the next day. I think the person in charge of cleaning and control the house before our arrival didn't look properly.
Benges was a beautiful place to stay with an amazing garden . It's right by woods so great for dog walks . The only thing I would say is it's right by a very busy main road which isn't a problem but the garden is not enclosed so you do need to be careful if you have dogs that may wander! The house is just lovely though and everything that you need is there . We would definitely stay again as it's a great base for Chichester, the Witterings and surrounding areas. Lots of great pubs nearby as well if you want to eat out .
Great stay for two families, great location, lovely garden, friendly service, easy access to beach, big house, good for walking swimming sailing paddling cycling relaxing
This was our second consecutive family Christmas at Toll House which says something. The arrangement of the rooms is ideal for a free flowing family gathering. The spacious open plan kitchen dining room is both attractive and convenient for cooks and diners alike, while the atmospheric sitting room offers space for others to sit quietly if they wish. The house is extensively equipped to a high standard and the owners take a personal interest in the needs of visitors. At Christmas the house was beautifully decorated for our arrival.
Have stayed at Oysters many times and keep returning it is unique in its location and Bosham is such a lovely relaxing place to stay. The staff at Henry Adams have always been superb and most and are so obliging.
Spence Cottage is a fantastic place to stay, the modern decor and kitchen was lovely. Power shower and laundry room were unexpected bonuses. Location is great, near to beaches and country walks. Lots of nice eating places on the doorstep. The only negative points were the untidy garden and noise from traffic but neither of these spoilt our holiday.
Nice roomy house for 6 people. Good size bedrooms, lovely size garden - just be careful playing football that the ball does not go in the stream. Chairs in the lounge were a big hit! Small minus point is the shower - need to make sure there is no water and pressure loss out of the tube under the console. Good wi-fi.
We had the best time staying at the cottage. The only thing i will change are the cleaning of the carpet and the sleep covers of the sofas, wich have seen a better life.
The flat is located in a quiet area but still in a good reach of the city center. It ist nicely furnished and well equiped. When we hab problens, the agency had them solves asap.
We used to live in the area so knew where and what we had booked. Beautifully equipped apartment. Everything of a very high standard. Lovely little balcony overlooking the marina and it would have been a fantastic place in the evening sunshine for a drink and take in the views of the Sussex countryside, unfortunately we had absolutely dreadful weather, so couldn't use it. Even though we had poor weather the apartment gets very hot so the upright fans in the main bedroom and lounge would be needed during better weather. A couple of little niggles would be no grab handle in the bath to help...more
We shall come again, but cutlery and glassware were not clean, and the next couple arrived a day early.
There was a loose floor board at the top of the stairs The shower floor was slippery and there were no handrail to hold on to
It was a lovely, very comfortable cottage in beautiful surroundings. We will definitely be back some time.
A lovely, spacious and well-appointed house in an idyllic setting just yards from the foreshore - we had a wonderful week and would whole-heartedly recommend it.
We enjoyed our first visit so much we returned the next year. A comfortable house, nicely decorated and well- equipped. The parking place is a real asset, as street parking is difficult nearby.
Cosy apartment with a great location . Yards from the beach and just a few more steps in the opposite direction to busy Church Road . There is such a choice of restaurants. You will never starve in Hove !
Beacon square was a perfect location for our vacation rental. We traveled to England from the U.S. to visit my husbands grandparents and with two young kids needed our own space. The house was clean and well stocked. Kids dishes and cups were a nice surprise. The house is well maintained and the garden is gorgeous. If it didn't rain, we would have really enjoyed it, The house is a short distance to town and I enjoyed the walk every morning. We would stay here again. My own suggestion would be to add a hair dryer. Coming from the U.S., I learned before my hairdryer does not work with ...more
We stayed at Chartwell Mews for 3 weeks and very much enjoyed it, we were sorry to leave. The house is in a lovely location, peaceful and convenient for the town. Set very close to the common, it was a perfect spot for country walks. The house was very well equipped and presented; very much a feeling of being at home! The owner couldn't have been more helpful.
Good location and comfortable property. Well equipped, warm and cosy for a spring visit from Australia! Would stay there again of ever back to Emsworth.
This bungalow is in a lovely location, everyone was friendly. Our family used this as a retreat from losing a loved one as we used to spend our childhood holidays in pagham. It was perfect, beautiful beach, if you are looking for a bungalow full of warmth, a home out of home look no further. Dishwasher, washing machine, wonderful views. The old arcade just a 10 minute walk away. We will be booking again next year for sure. Had such a wonderful time
We were a family group ( ages from 1 to 68!) and we stayed in Park View for 2 weeks over Christmas. The house was perfect for our needs. The bedrooms were large and each had it's own bathroom. The living area is spacious and plenty room to entertain guests - and keep an eye on little ones at the same time. The swing park across the road was very useful for amusing bored youngsters. Midhurst is a very attractive town with plenty shops, cafes and pubs - and within easy reach of other places of interest. The only criticism I could make was that the kitchen could do with an upgrade of pots, pans ...more
Great location, A few local pubs nearby and a lovely restaurant called crab and lobster.... You are a stones throw from the pebble beach and 20 minites drive from West Wittering beach which is sandy.
We had a lovely weekend at Kalami. The property has been recently renovated and is very well presented. It's location is also fantastic, just one road back from the beach. In terms of constructive feedback (and while the weather wasn't good enough for us to use it!), it would have been nice if the law had been mown and the garden tidied. Other than that, just great.
We rented The Barn for seven nights as a venue to host a family gathering for our daughter's wedding. It was a very suitable location for such an event being spacious and well laid out. It was clean, generally well supplied with necessary equipment, crockery etc., bedding was comfortable and overall we were pretty happy with our experience. However, there were some problems that need to be addressed with some urgency; 1. The walk-in shower on the ground floor delivered scalding water and represented a serious risk to children/infants and was in fact quite a problem even for an adult t...more
We recently stayed at the cottage which is in an excellent location. The cottage is small but comfortable and makes an excellent base for exploring the area. Ideal for a couple or a family with small children. The decor is lovely. Could be improved by offering a freezer, increased shower pressure and a hand basin in the toilet.
What a lovely cottage and grounds for us to enjoy. Had a great week here, the cottage was clean, tidy and very spacious - just a shame there was no freezer or ice compartment in the fridge, or a wardrobe in the main bedroom. The owner was very welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed chatting to him on our last evening over a glass of wine. Thoroughly wonderful break away from the hustle and bustle.
Great holiday in a perfect location. Abundant selection of books. Lovely neighbours. Attention to detail much appreciated. Didn't want to come home. Only negative uncomfortable lounge chairs.
Cozy, convenient slef contained cottage located in close proximity to the town centre of Chichester, just in 10 minutes walk you will reach the town centre. Water pressure and hot water supply was especially good. Comfortable bed rooms. Beddings and towels were clean and tidy. Large freezer and fridge which provided good food storage during my stay. I enjoyed a very pleasant week with my family in the cottage during my son's half term break and will put this cottage in top priority for future visit to Chichester.
Overall the house was ok, clean and great location. Personally i think a little work could be done with regards to the holiday letting side, no welcome manual, so no instruction on how to use the shower, heating, etc. and details on where is good in the local area, for dining and sight seeing. We were staying for nearly 2 month as relocating to the area, so for this length of stay, further items were needed, the hoover is hard to use, no mop provided for cleaning the wood effect floors. Only 1 door key. parking can be a little tricky in the cul de sac, no selected parking bay.
We very much enjoyed Fishermans Cottage, it is equipped with all you could need for self catering including a barbecue which was a surprise as it was not included on the itinerary. Lots of games in the games room/ playroom and super views over the sea in the room above or as the children called them the children's playroom and the adults playroom also beach games and beach equipment for the use of. We would have liked a larger TV in the lounge and a second in the playroom and maybe a second front door key although the key safe worked well. The garden furniture is quite tatty and really needs...more
Originally booked the property for a party of 5 adults and 2 small dogs but due to health issues only myself, my wife and our small dog stayed so we had all the bedrooms to choose from. Furnishings were more than adequate and very comfortable, especially the large double bed in the main bedroom, undoubtably the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on. We've stayed in similar properties all over the UK but have never stayed anywhere that's been so comprehensively equipped. This is a huge credit to the owners Helen & Dave as there wasn't a single thing we could have wanted that wasn't th...more
Our stay was for 2 weeks. The house itself is beautiful, nicely renovated with a sun trap back garden. Parking outside for one car very comfortably, 2 is tight. The living room/ dining room is a good space with a large tv. The kitchen is small but has good appliances. It could use a washer/dryer for the laundry rather than just a washing machine. We got lucky with the weather so the clothes lines worked for us. There were plenty of plates, cups, glasses, cutlery and utensils. The main bedroom is lovely, the second is snug with the 2 beds and has very little draw space. The big negative for ...more
A comfortable Deckhouse in an excellent location. It is well equipped and everything works. Ideal for exploring Chichester harbour.
Our 3rd visit. The kitchen is now lacking in some areas - the oven and knives in particular. WiFi is poor. Otherwise, we had a good stay.
Located close to Chichester, but somewhat difficult to find. You are pretty much in your own when you arrive, with little to no introduction to the property.
We urgently needed somewhere to stay for a few days, found this holiday let. Perfectly acceptable, but is more for warmer time of year. Owner was helpful and very pleasant having been put on the spot somewhat.
