The cottage provided a peaceful retreat in beautiful surroundings.Tasteful decor and all equipment we needed for our stay.Within easy reach of places to visit. Only sorry when we had to leave. Useful hint shower over bath and to get in might not be so easy for less able bodied.
10 of us took up residence for a week in this lovely property overlooking the river. The house was amazing, unbelievable comfy and extremely well equipped. The house flowed and provided room for people to get away from others for a quiet read. The bed linen was lovely and the towels fluffy, something that is not always featured in rented property. It was safe for children, had a lovely garden and electric gates with plenty of room for cars on the drive. The owners of the property were extremely helpful, telephoning to make sure everything was OK. All in all everybody had a great week and...more
Lovely cottage on the mill pond. Wonderful big kitchen, dining and living area. Great Emsworth location for walks and for shops and restaurants.
I stayed in this apartment in october , is a great location , is very nice and clean apartment . Very recommended !!!
My stay at this wonderful cosy cottage was almost 3 months. As a photographer and a friend of nature I literally fell in love with this beautiful place surounded by plants, open fields and nice hiking possibilities. The place is clean and friendly my only complaint was the time was too short. The lodge itself is fairly compact but still has a fully kitted kitchen, small dining area (incl. flat screen TV), a decent sized bathroom and 2 bedrooms:. The private rear courtyard is just perfect to have breakfast in the summer. There is also wash room in a small shed across the front carport a...more
Cottage is with everything in it, all very well, with a beautiful garden what can used by the customers, in a very beautiful area.
A lovely well kept, comfortable and well equipped home. With 5 adults, a teenager and a baby we were very well provided for. We even managed with the one bathroom between us although an en suite would have been lovely. The property is up an outside set of stairs which we managed very well even with a pushchair, I think some people may struggle though so need to be aware of this as it was not clear in the listing. Overall a very good place to stay and not far to travel to the places we needed.
Simply lovely accommodation and a great location. Two super pubs in walking distance with a ramble across some fields and footpaths.
We followed these apartments being built , had always wanted to stay ,and we had a great weekend here . The views are of the marina are stunning and the location was so peaceful and quiet . Everything was spotlessly clean , the beds were very comfortable and the showers amazing ! The apartment felt nice and warm too . It was very well equipped with all you need for a selfcatering break , although we probably could have done with a few more mugs and another saucepan or two , but that is a small point . There are nice walks in the immediate area and lots of cycling possibilities too ....more
We have stayed at 17 Quinton Fields 3 times. We live in New York and we have elderly family members in Emsworth, so the apartment makes a good base for us. We love it. It's spacious and spotlessly clean. The furnishings are simple and tasteful. The modern kitchen makes meal preparation easy. The area is very quiet and just a short drive from Emsworth town. On our recent visit, a relative stayed with us, so it was useful to have 2 full bathrooms (an en-suite and a family). The place is well-equipped with everything guests might need. Just one small observation - it was very chilly on our rece...more
Perfect village location. Traditional cottage with superb modern features. Close to hills, beaches, chichester, midhurst, goodwood. Nice pub at the partridge.
Wow factor apartment complex beautifully furnished high end finish. Stunning views of the marina. We are locals and stayed whilst moving home and still enjoyed it. Would highly recommend.
Very well equipped and comfortable Lodge. Peaceful location and ideal for walkers and bird watchers.
This house is beautifully decorated and has stunning views from the back of the house. We'd definitely stay again.
Very comfortable stay. Walking distance of the city centre. Everything worked well. Plenty of parking. As it is a ground floor apartment some people might find the fact that if you lift the blinds to let light in, it feels as if you are in a fish bowl. But that is a question of taste. Not as quiet as hoped because of the building work opposite but that will be completed. Wifi connection erratic - some days none at all.
As soon as we walked through the front door we felt as though we were in our own home. The kitchen was a wonderful room and it was a joy to cook in there. We hope to return again soon as there is so much we didn't have time to see in Chichester and more to explore in the surrounding countryside.
Everything about this cottage exceeded our expectations. Our hosts were absolutely brilliant. The surroundings and the garden are beautiful. The apartment is of a 5 star standard.
A very easy and comfortable stay, with thoughtful and generous owners. Would not hesitate to recommend it.
This flat was excellent with all the facilities required and in an excellent location . If we plan to stay in this area again the salterns would be our first port of call . The flat overlooks a beautiful harbour with plenty of good eating places nearby and some beautiful places nearby such as chichester and the arundel wetlands centre which we thoroughly enjoyed . The fob for raising the barriers was a bit unreliable but did work , possibly a battery issue . 2 weeks to return the deposit was a bit lengthy . These are minor issues and generally we were very happy with the flat and we would st...more
The property was very clean, spacious and comfortable. We could see that the owners are gradually updating the property by the addition of a fairly newly installed kitchen, which was cosy but well equipped. The views of the sea especially from the upstairs windows were spectacular. My mum's highlight was lying on her bed just looking out the window at the sea. The owners had a wide range of toys, books and puzzles available which kept 4 children very happy and amused. The children also loved playing in the back garden and exploring the beach. The property is well situated in a quiet resi...more
Very comfortable with tasteful decor. We had a lovely time there on our trip from NZ, relaxing walking in the local woodland which was beautiful in autumn. The cottage was perfect also for two couples, one elderly, with a bedroom and bathroom at each end of the cottage and communal living area between. We loved being behind the old stone wall and within the beautiful grounds of the manor house. Perfect for my in laws with no stairs to climb. Also very warm with good central heating and plenty of sunlight. Thanks for a great stay.
Great enjoyable stay at this property. Very well equipped and comfortable, loved the downstairs bedroom with courtyard. and also balcony on 1st floor
Great place to stay for exploring the Sussex coast. Homely place with all the modern amenities, helpful having the owners close by who were very welcoming without being too intrusive. All in all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to any small family who like to get out and about!
Bedrooms and bathroom very nicely refurbished and the beds and duvets were lovely and comfortable. Very short walk into Midhurst. We didnt realise that there was no parking so hadnt warned my parents where to unload their car and also hadnt know to tell them that there are steps off the road into the house. However house was lovely and would recommend.
We arrived late at night and expected the house to be cold, but no, the heating was already on, bliss! The house has been tastefully decorated with good quality furnishings and the kitchen fully equipped. However we did not avail ourselves of the kitchen equipment as we ate out each evening at the many restaurants in and around Bognor Regis and Chichester. The shower room and bathroom were nicely decorated and all linen provided. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to stay in this lovely house.
We spent 10 very confortable days at Budgenor Lodge, with friends. We found the apartment very clean , had everything we needed
Brewery Cottage is spacious, comfortable, elegantly furnished, secluded, and only 7 minutes walk from the City centre. The huge eclectic living room book wall was a delight. The bedroom was very comfortable, as was the bathroom. The kitchen working area was a little tight, and we found the combination microwave/cooker somewhat limiting - lacking the shelves referred to in the user manual, only one item of any size could be cooked at once. The owners, David and Lynda, are both friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the early March weather prevented us from taking advantage of the pleasant garden...more
We have stayed at 42a previously on a couple of occasions - location is great, and the house is always clean and well presented. We look forward to staying again in the future. Shame that they have put their prices up this year.
Very adaptable space worked extremely well for our large group of 20, great location and very helpful agent and staff.
The bungalow is tastefully furnished, it lacks bedroom wardrobe and draws in second bedroom which is not good for 2 couples, the cupboard in the hall could be used as a wardrobe very easily with a little thought, it did spoil our visit. The rest of the facilities were very nice. Tv very complicated with 4 handsets to make it usable. Nice situation for walking into Midhurst, and parking off road for the 2 cars was also great.
I stayed for four months whilst waiting to move into my new house. A cosy house in the winter, in a friendly square. Look in the cupboards and you'll find everything you could need. Good wifi connection and the garden is dog proof. A few minutes from Midhurst and very convenient for Chichester and the coast.
Our stay was due to repairs being done at home and my husband was unable to stay there due to health problems. It was perfect as it was very quiet and close to all amenities. The owners David and Anna are delightful, very friendly and helpful, even the neighbours were nice, not forgetting the daily visit by the cat looking in through the window and the antics of the birds nest building and the starlings putting on a daily show. Everything we needed was available. If we need to leave our home again we will definitely look to stay there first and recommend it to others.
Superb apartment in a superb location. Very hi-tech equipment, comfortable beds and luxurious showers. Have booked again!
104 Orchard provided an excellent location affording an easy walking distance to Chichester Center and the rail station. Although we did not hire a car for what was our second visit to Sussex and Goodwood in particular, the lack of convenient parking may be an issue for some. Overall a clean and comfortable for a weekend or extended stay.
Great place to stay with everything you need only a few miles away. Cottage is excellent with one exception the garden is just a very small patio with a pond and views blocked by huge hedge. Inside the cottage is very nice, with great facilities for someone unable to use stairs, every bedroom has an ensuite which is a good feature. Rooms are spacious, light and airy. No traffic noise. Close to marina, very short walk. Would definitely recommend it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had the pleasure of meeting the owner who as very friendly and dealt with our requests as soon as possible. The property itself was perfect for our needs although the road was busy during school peak times. The interior was spacious and made to feel very homely which was ideal considering we had a young family. Overall it was value for money and would recommend it for others.
the apartment was in the centre of town, but was quiet ,and safe. there was plenty of room, and apart from the leather sofa being slippery!!! everything else was very comfortable. we would come again.
Great place to stay for a week. Well equipped and newly refurbished. Both bedrooms reasonably large but only one loo in the one bathroom. It does have wi-fi but no dishwasher. Very small enclosed garden which is on the main road so quite noisy most of the time. This is not 'away from it all' as there is constant traffic to and from the coast. There is quite a large, well stocked Nisa 2 minutes walk away which was handy and a petrol station opposite. Good to be a short drive from West/East Wittering as well as straight into Chichester. There are 2 parking spaces but both are narrow so you...more
Benges was a beautiful place to stay with an amazing garden . It's right by woods so great for dog walks . The only thing I would say is it's right by a very busy main road which isn't a problem but the garden is not enclosed so you do need to be careful if you have dogs that may wander! The house is just lovely though and everything that you need is there . We would definitely stay again as it's a great base for Chichester, the Witterings and surrounding areas. Lots of great pubs nearby as well if you want to eat out .
Enjoyed our stay in a very comfortable apartment. So much so we have rebooked the same one for a months time. 1 big negative that I know others have commented on is the clear glass front door that has no blind or curtain.
Our second stay at the Salterns. It's a beautiful apartment in a wonderful setting on the marina, handy location for Chichester and the south coast beaches and harbours. However, as on our previous stay, we had a problem with the keysafe on arrival and, more importantly, the toilet, which occasionally flushed continuously. Despite attendance by the on-site mechanic this problem continued and was annoying. Hopefully it will be resolved before the next guests. Otherwise we would recommend this apartment, especially for the lovely balcony and luxurious shower.
The cottage was clean and modern, well and efficiently heated and the beds comfortable, and everything worked well. It felt a little clinically bare (we had specifically looked for somewhere 'cosy' for Christmas) with lots of huge white walls etc. But it worked fine. We'd specifically asked about coffee-making facilities and told there was a cafeteria - but there wasn't, so we had to buy one. Overall a very good location and extremely comfortable and well maintained property. Being in the South Downs which attracts cyclists and walkers, we could suggest offering a secure place to keep cycles o...more
This was our second stay at Aura Favoni. The house is a little dated, but the locations and the beautiful garden make up for this. The house was spotless and the bedding beautifully fresh and clean. We would certainly visit again.
We had a really lovely Long weekend away in this lovely little gem of a find. The location is great with the village in walking distance and Portsmouth and Chichester really close by. The house is very unusual being on stilts, it is so well presented clean and tidy and the views are great. Lovely walks right from the house with lots of wildlife. I would highly recommend a stay here and would love to visit again.
This was our second consecutive family Christmas at Toll House which says something. The arrangement of the rooms is ideal for a free flowing family gathering. The spacious open plan kitchen dining room is both attractive and convenient for cooks and diners alike, while the atmospheric sitting room offers space for others to sit quietly if they wish. The house is extensively equipped to a high standard and the owners take a personal interest in the needs of visitors. At Christmas the house was beautifully decorated for our arrival.
Lovely house in a fantastic location, which was a perfect base for visiting family. It was well equipped and comfortable. The only down side is there being no bath. With two young children who aren't keen on showers. I would still recommend the house and we'll most likely book again in the future.
The kitchen lights did not function on the Friday night. If the chalet has trip switches we did not know where they were. With the help of a table light from one of the bedrooms we coped. The hot water did not seem to function at the basin closest to the road. There did not seem to be instructions as to how to make the TV function. We could not make it work. The directions to 4 were not that clever but with a little help from a passer-by we got there. Selsey is a confusing place! For those coming from the east the best turning off the A27 is the B2145. Have returned to Oysters for many years, and in never fails , the location is wonderful, with fabulous views across the water, even in poor weather there is something of interest to view. The pub next door does great food, however it can be quite noisy especially during the summer months with customers drinking & eating on the outside terrace which is only a few feet away from one end of Oysters. Need to have care car parking outside Oysters as the tide comes in right up to the property wall, we saw one unfortunate lady's car ruined as the tide went into her vehicle. One needs to park in the...more

Perfect views, outstanding walks right outside the property, good pubs & food outlets within walking distance from the property.
It was a lovely, very comfortable cottage in beautiful surroundings. We will definitely be back some time.
We enjoyed our first visit so much we returned the next year. A comfortable house, nicely decorated and well- equipped. The parking place is a real asset, as street parking is difficult nearby.
A lovely, spacious and well-appointed house in an idyllic setting just yards from the foreshore - we had a wonderful week and would whole-heartedly recommend it.
Cosy apartment with a great location . Yards from the beach and just a few more steps in the opposite direction to busy Church Road . There is such a choice of restaurants. You will never starve in Hove !
We had a wonderful stay at the lazy meadow. Child friendly, spacious, all appliances worked well! Right down the street was the corner store and co-op and in Havant shops, food, etc. We will be staying again in the future!
Great place!Great Location. We will be back in the future and would book this place again.Wes Wittering must be one of the best beaches in this country.Stunning!!
Good location and comfortable property. Well equipped, warm and cosy for a spring visit from Australia! Would stay there again of ever back to Emsworth.
We were a family group ( ages from 1 to 68!) and we stayed in Park View for 2 weeks over Christmas. The house was perfect for our needs. The bedrooms were large and each had it's own bathroom. The living area is spacious and plenty room to entertain guests - and keep an eye on little ones at the same time. The swing park across the road was very useful for amusing bored youngsters. Midhurst is a very attractive town with plenty shops, cafes and pubs - and within easy reach of other places of interest. The only criticism I could make was that the kitchen could do with an upgrade of pots, pans ...more
Odd things wrong which we reported to marina office. Only one mirror which was in bathroom so nowhere to see to dry hair etc. Dimmer switch not working over dining table. Two locks on front door only one worked. One door not hung correctly so banged even if tried to close slowly. Took a while to realise that if turned off radiator in hall all none of other radiators worked. worktop stained easily, just with washed dishes draining left circles. Wonder how long will all look god. However. Many things good. Main problem was when we arrived 4.15 pm and apartment had not been cleaned. ...more
What a lovely cottage and grounds for us to enjoy. Had a great week here, the cottage was clean, tidy and very spacious - just a shame there was no freezer or ice compartment in the fridge, or a wardrobe in the main bedroom. The owner was very welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed chatting to him on our last evening over a glass of wine. Thoroughly wonderful break away from the hustle and bustle.
We rented The Barn for seven nights as a venue to host a family gathering for our daughter's wedding. It was a very suitable location for such an event being spacious and well laid out. It was clean, generally well supplied with necessary equipment, crockery etc., bedding was comfortable and overall we were pretty happy with our experience. However, there were some problems that need to be addressed with some urgency; 1. The walk-in shower on the ground floor delivered scalding water and represented a serious risk to children/infants and was in fact quite a problem even for an adult t...more
Overall the house was ok, clean and great location. Personally i think a little work could be done with regards to the holiday letting side, no welcome manual, so no instruction on how to use the shower, heating, etc. and details on where is good in the local area, for dining and sight seeing. We were staying for nearly 2 month as relocating to the area, so for this length of stay, further items were needed, the hoover is hard to use, no mop provided for cleaning the wood effect floors. Only 1 door key. parking can be a little tricky in the cul de sac, no selected parking bay.
I booked the cottage at fairly short notice and the lady at Henry Adams was most helpful. Also, the owner of the Cottage went beyond the call of duty to help out when I had a problem due to unforeseen family circumstances.
Loved our stay. Hope to come back. Bungalow well thought out. In a great situation for beach local shops. Had some great dips in the sea and our dog loved his walks
We had a very pleasant Christmas here with our family and especially liked the sitting room with open log fire. Owner very friendly and helpful when needed advise.
Originally booked the property for a party of 5 adults and 2 small dogs but due to health issues only myself, my wife and our small dog stayed so we had all the bedrooms to choose from. Furnishings were more than adequate and very comfortable, especially the large double bed in the main bedroom, undoubtably the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on. We've stayed in similar properties all over the UK but have never stayed anywhere that's been so comprehensively equipped. This is a huge credit to the owners Helen & Dave as there wasn't a single thing we could have wanted that wasn't th...more
The placement of the Cottage is near by the Sea, that gave us first a beautiful view and second the possibilitiy for wonderful beach walks. The sleeping rooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy, wheras the other rooms could need a bit of refurbishing.
Our 3rd visit. The kitchen is now lacking in some areas - the oven and knives in particular. WiFi is poor. Otherwise, we had a good stay.
A most pleasant place to stay, both for ourselves and our two dogs. With the foreshore just 50 metres away, dog walking was always simple and pleasant. The pubs and restaurants of Emsworth are just 10 minutes walk away through the public footpaths, which run through the marina's boatyard, not brilliantly signed, but the locals were helpful. The accommodation was excellent and we were able to lunch and have pre dinner drinks on the balcony. A fine large table was excellent for entertaining and the property was very comfortable, with a lovely ambiance. We would happily recommend this property t...more
We enjoyed sunny days in this wonderfully located beach house, especially as the kids could just walk out the door and explore the beauties of the beach.
Located close to Chichester, but somewhat difficult to find. You are pretty much in your own when you arrive, with little to no introduction to the property.
We urgently needed somewhere to stay for a few days, found this holiday let. Perfectly acceptable, but is more for warmer time of year. Owner was helpful and very pleasant having been put on the spot somewhat.
