Lovely cottage on the mill pond. Wonderful big kitchen, dining and living area. Great Emsworth location for walks and for shops and restaurants.
The cottage provided a peaceful retreat in beautiful surroundings.Tasteful decor and all equipment we needed for our stay.Within easy reach of places to visit. Only sorry when we had to leave. Useful hint shower over bath and to get in might not be so easy for less able bodied.
10 of us took up residence for a week in this lovely property overlooking the river. The house was amazing, unbelievable comfy and extremely well equipped. The house flowed and provided room for people to get away from others for a quiet read. The bed linen was lovely and the towels fluffy, something that is not always featured in rented property. It was safe for children, had a lovely garden and electric gates with plenty of room for cars on the drive. The owners of the property were extremely helpful, telephoning to make sure everything was OK. All in all everybody had a great week and...more
Cottage is with everything in it, all very well, with a beautiful garden what can used by the customers, in a very beautiful area.
My stay at this wonderful cosy cottage was almost 3 months. As a photographer and a friend of nature I literally fell in love with this beautiful place surounded by plants, open fields and nice hiking possibilities. The place is clean and friendly my only complaint was the time was too short. The lodge itself is fairly compact but still has a fully kitted kitchen, small dining area (incl. flat screen TV), a decent sized bathroom and 2 bedrooms:. The private rear courtyard is just perfect to have breakfast in the summer. There is also wash room in a small shed across the front carport a...more
Surima is a clean, comfortable and convenient home from home within walking distance of the centre of Chichester. We enjoilyed our stay here very much.
A lovely well kept, comfortable and well equipped home. With 5 adults, a teenager and a baby we were very well provided for. We even managed with the one bathroom between us although an en suite would have been lovely. The property is up an outside set of stairs which we managed very well even with a pushchair, I think some people may struggle though so need to be aware of this as it was not clear in the listing. Overall a very good place to stay and not far to travel to the places we needed.
All round value for money, the location was great only 2 minutes from beach and shops very easy to find. Debbie, Mum & Dad were very welcoming, even with our dog Max . Everything was supplied, from towels, to washing machine, ironing board etc.. home from home! They even gave us a doggy bag full of biscuits for our dog and supplied us with biscuits too! We would highly recommend this to others and would book again in the future.
The cottage is the perfect place if you look for a remote place in the english countryside. You may even see deer from the bed rooms which have a unique view into the natural scenery. The living room and kitchen are very spacious and comfortable. Sightseeing spots like Petworth House or Arundel Castle are just a few minutes drive away. Last but not least - the landlady Clare is very friendly and helpful. It was a perfect stay for us!
Simply lovely accommodation and a great location. Two super pubs in walking distance with a ramble across some fields and footpaths.
We have stayed at the Orchard previously and cant recommend it highly enough. Living room, bed rooms are all very well equipped, as is the huge kitchen. The garden/outside areas are well kept and maintained, with fantastic views to the rear.
Excellent apartment with lovely view of the marina. Well furnished and equipped and we enjoyed our stay very much and found it very relaxing. We liked the iPad which was left for our use. Everywhere was spotlessly clean with the most comfortable bed and excellent shower. Some points to consider:- We assumed (wrongly) as there was a cafe and shop at the Marina where we would at least be able to buy milk etc on arrival. The only thing in the fridge was a bag of chocolates! Most places of such a high calibre would at least have a pint of milk in the fridge. Our other suggestion would be...more
We enjoyed a super week at number 5 apartment at The Salterns. We know the apartments very well anyway as we keep a boat at Chichester marina and have also stayed at number 1 earlier in the year. The apartments and grounds are beautifully looked after, the apartments are spacious, light and airy, being very tastefully furnished and well equipped with quality fixtures and fittings - and they are absolutely spotless. The views are stunning all round and our elderly parents, when we were not boating or out for the day, thoroughly enjoyed pottering around the marina visiting The Boat House Cafe an...more
We had a wonderful weekend at The Salterns, it is a beautifully appointed apartment. Highly recommend.
This apartment is very tastefully decorated and very well equipped with all that you need. Towels and linen excellent quality. Lovely location by the marina and walking around the harbour. Boathouse cafe in the marina good too. I would stay there again.
Very comfortable stay. Walking distance of the city centre. Everything worked well. Plenty of parking. As it is a ground floor apartment some people might find the fact that if you lift the blinds to let light in, it feels as if you are in a fish bowl. But that is a question of taste. Not as quiet as hoped because of the building work opposite but that will be completed. Wifi connection erratic - some days none at all.
Very quiet location and with one en-suite bedroom, another double bedroom with adjacent bathroom plus additional WC in the living area on the first floor suitable for two couples or a family. The kitchen was well equipped but we would have welcomed a frying pan with a lid.
Very well-equipped & comfortable cottage. Remote location with lovely walks and wildlife. Helpful & hospitable owners. Lots of interesting places and countryside/ coast to visit nearby. Perfect place to stay and explore the area
Lovely little apartment, ideally located for Goodwood, Chichester, Arundel or travelling further afield with easy access to A27. Very friendly and helpful hosts.
This is the perfect place to stay in Chichester, quiet but in walking distance of the city,The property has everything you need,a home from home, your car is safely parked off the road,There are pubs and restaurants all in easy walking distance and shops and market, would stay again
The house is really lovely in the most fantastic location, overlooking the "pond" & a 2 minute walk to the sea & the Emsworth part of Chichester harbour, with the most beautiful walk all around the harbour edge & shore. We were so impressed with the house, it is bright & light & lots of lovely decorative touches & artwork which made it feel homely & welcoming. It is clearly a much loved home & we were privileged to stay there. The ground floor bedroom & bathroom were perfect for my elderly mum to avoid stairs in the night & 2 bathrooms were great for our family stay. We would return tomorrow &...more
We spent 10 very confortable days at Budgenor Lodge, with friends. We found the apartment very clean , had everything we needed
We found New Park Studio was comfortable, with all the conveniences ( such as laundry facilities, kitchen equipment, books, CD's and tourist information). Its location is also convenient: it is a short walk to the shops.
Great enjoyable stay at this property. Very well equipped and comfortable, loved the downstairs bedroom with courtyard. and also balcony on 1st floor
Great place to stay for exploring the Sussex coast. Homely place with all the modern amenities, helpful having the owners close by who were very welcoming without being too intrusive. All in all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to any small family who like to get out and about!
Beautiful countryside with excellent opportunities for longer and shorter hikes. Not too far from the beach (40 km). Pub with good food within 10 min drive, shops further away. Car necessary.
Our family had a lovely short break at the salterns at the end of May. The apartment was really clean, comfortable and very spacious. Nice big beds, good showers and a nice big bath. The kids loved the green space outside the apartment - plenty of space to run round, play games. Would stay again.
This is an excellent base for exploring Chichester and the surrounding coastline and forests. It was perfect for our family with the added bonus of a brilliant playground a short walk away. The photos do not do the house justice with the beautiful garden and a very high spec of furnishings throughout. Also excellent Value!
The bungalow is tastefully furnished, it lacks bedroom wardrobe and draws in second bedroom which is not good for 2 couples, the cupboard in the hall could be used as a wardrobe very easily with a little thought, it did spoil our visit. The rest of the facilities were very nice. Tv very complicated with 4 handsets to make it usable. Nice situation for walking into Midhurst, and parking off road for the 2 cars was also great.
Our family holiday at Still Waters and Emsworth was excellent in every respect, Our party`s ages ranged from 86 to 12,
We booked this property as a late decision and glad we did. We had seen the properties before when walking around Emsworth and had always wondered what they were like to stay in. Certainly 6 Avocet Quay was a real gem. It comfortably slept the 3 adults (plus it was dog friendly - with the usual restrictions). It was probably the best equipped holiday let we have had. We were able to get a view of the water at an angle but of course is was a 1 minute walk to coast path anyway. At night it was lovely and quiet. The cafe in the marina was 5 minutes away and beyond that a nice stroll round the...more
Our stay was due to repairs being done at home and my husband was unable to stay there due to health problems. It was perfect as it was very quiet and close to all amenities. The owners David and Anna are delightful, very friendly and helpful, even the neighbours were nice, not forgetting the daily visit by the cat looking in through the window and the antics of the birds nest building and the starlings putting on a daily show. Everything we needed was available. If we need to leave our home again we will definitely look to stay there first and recommend it to others.
Lovely area, good location, lovely bungalow, spacious, friendly neighbour, good ownership Would go again!!
Great location - nearby railway station was helpful. Lovely little village. Security deposit refunded quickly.
We had a lovely time at THE RUN, because of the location for our activities ( horse riding, golf, pleasure flights at Goodwood) and the barn is very cozy. We are looking to come back on next summer. I would recommend to provide some information about the wifi connection and how it works for the garbage collection since we had to ask the owner for this. Many thanks to the owner of the property for her kindness and the late check out. Goffredo di Sette
Hi, we really enjoyed our stay at 11 Shorecroft, Aldwick, it was very peaceful and a great house with the beach backing on to the back garden, perfect for morning and evening strolls along the beach. The house itself was very spacious and we had 8 people staying (4 adults + 4 kids) and we never felt that we were crowded in plenty of room for everyone. The kids loved the place with the garden and beach on the back door step, great location 10 mins from Bognor Regis train station meant easy access to day trips to London without having the hassle of driving, also there is lots of things to do in...more
Leuk huis in een rustige straat netjes ingericht en goed verzorgd . De eigenaar had veel informatie over de regio beschikbaar. Ook de wifi was uitstekend.
We stayed at 4 The Salterns for 9 nights recently with our two small dogs and loved our time there. It's not easy finding luxurious dog friendly holiday lets, so we were very pleased to find these. The apartment is beautifully designed, appointed and very comfortable, a real home from home feeling. The sunset views from the terrace are simply breath taking! Unfortunately we found the apartment hadn't been cleaned for our arrival, but to be fair both Henry Adams and the Premier Marinas did everything to rectify this swiftly and more, so they recovered the situation with excellent customer s...more
104 Orchard provided an excellent location affording an easy walking distance to Chichester Center and the rail station. Although we did not hire a car for what was our second visit to Sussex and Goodwood in particular, the lack of convenient parking may be an issue for some. Overall a clean and comfortable for a weekend or extended stay.
We loved our stay at the Salterns ( 2nd week of June) The location was fantastic and the views from all windows was excellent. It was fantastic weather which of course helped a lot!! The standard of the apartment was very high quality and just wished we could have stayed longer!!
Pleasant cottage in a lovely area. Owner extremely helpful. Good facilities, Recommended for walkers.
the apartment was in the centre of town, but was quiet ,and safe. there was plenty of room, and apart from the leather sofa being slippery!!! everything else was very comfortable. we would come again.
We haved a problem with hot water at arriving and cleanliness of the house. Laura was very efficient and solved the problem the next day. I think the person in charge of cleaning and control the house before our arrival didn't look properly.
My ladies were very happy and comfortable, which gave me peace of mind as I'd booked it for them, due to a double booking in my property.
A great, dog friendly home from home place to stay. A nice and easy 10 minute walk to the beach and only a short drive to the bigger towns and Chichester. The cottage has everything you might need and handily has the local shop a few doors away.
Really nice flat! The bathroom could be a little bit more user-friendly ;-) (shower can be only half-closed, no shelves or hooks to deposit your stuff near the washbasin). But apart from that everything was really good. Much space, very nice interior decoration, clean and at a perfectly central postion in Chichester.
A lovely setting and a well equipped house. Parking would be an issue if we had brought more than one car as space is very limited. Couldn't one car park on the drive? The rubbish bins outside were rather an eyesore as they were completely full to overflowing when we arrived. One other slight complaint - it would be nice to receive a welcome pack on arrival, not just a jug of milk in the fridge. By the way, one of the curtains in the lounge is hung inside out!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cottage, Murrayfield House. The owner who lives nearby was very helpful and made sure we had no problems throughout our stay. The gardens are beautiful and we felt very relaxed whilst there, we will definitely return.
We had a wonderful stay at Aura Favoni. The house is very well equipped & the location is perfect. The garden is stunning too. We'll be back .
Excellent location for those who love the sailing scene. Lovely walks around the area. Buy a weekly parking ticket for the nearby car park. All the pubs in the area serve good food but the views from the house make it just as nice to eat in and watch the tide rise and fall just outside your windows.
Nice roomy house for 6 people. Good size bedrooms, lovely size garden - just be careful playing football that the ball does not go in the stream. Chairs in the lounge were a big hit! Small minus point is the shower - need to make sure there is no water and pressure loss out of the tube under the console. Good wi-fi.
Many items were missing in the house e.g an iron, ironing board and an ice bucket, to name but a few. Altogether it was very poorly equipped. None of the duvets fitted their covers and there were a great many niggly things like this. A pity as it is a very pretty house in a lovely garden but the standard of comfort was not up to its billing and not fitting for the number of bedrooms it provides.
We had the best time staying at the cottage. The only thing i will change are the cleaning of the carpet and the sleep covers of the sofas, wich have seen a better life.
Toll House is an extraordinary house. It´s old but very charming. It´s located in an area with many cottages, therefore the neighbourhood is very quiet. Everything we need was in the house - thank you for that. A few things could be better - the shower in the small bathroom needs a general cleaning and the quench head from the bathtube should be descaled, because there came so little water out of it, that it was not really possible to take a shower. And please change the mattresses in the double beds, they are very uncomfortable.
A gorgeous cottage with a lovely character where old is mixed with new. Very family friendly and child proof. Well equipped with everything you need. It had a shop only two minutes walk and the beach only five minutes drive away. The only downside I can think of is that there was only one bathroom/toilet. I highly recommend Spence Cottage to familys as well as two couples. Me and my husband stayed for a week with our son, his girlfriend and their 1 1/2 year old son.
We shall come again, but cutlery and glassware were not clean, and the next couple arrived a day early.
There was a loose floor board at the top of the stairs The shower floor was slippery and there were no handrail to hold on to
Beacon square was a perfect location for our vacation rental. We traveled to England from the U.S. to visit my husbands grandparents and with two young kids needed our own space. The house was clean and well stocked. Kids dishes and cups were a nice surprise. The house is well maintained and the garden is gorgeous. If it didn't rain, we would have really enjoyed it, The house is a short distance to town and I enjoyed the walk every morning. We would stay here again. My own suggestion would be to add a hair dryer. Coming from the U.S., I learned before my hairdryer does not work with ...more
Cosy apartment with a great location . Yards from the beach and just a few more steps in the opposite direction to busy Church Road . There is such a choice of restaurants. You will never starve in Hove !
It was a lovely, very comfortable cottage in beautiful surroundings. We will definitely be back some time.
We enjoyed our first visit so much we returned the next year. A comfortable house, nicely decorated and well- equipped. The parking place is a real asset, as street parking is difficult nearby.
The best thing about this house is it's excellent location, close enough to the beach you can taste the salt in the air. Big + for fast internet connection and lots of home equipment like washing machine, dishwasher and much more.
The location is FIVE STAR and Pagham a delightful spot. It is not really a cottage, but a much loved 'family gathering' second home, I would guess. We had a wonderful week together...son and grandchildren. I would like to stay again...so that says it all really. Thank you very much.
We stayed at Chartwell Mews for 3 weeks and very much enjoyed it, we were sorry to leave. The house is in a lovely location, peaceful and convenient for the town. Set very close to the common, it was a perfect spot for country walks. The house was very well equipped and presented; very much a feeling of being at home! The owner couldn't have been more helpful.
We thought the apartment was absolutely delightful and very clean and comfortable. However the peaceful tranquillity was spoilt for the last two days of our stay by some very noisy and inconsiderate people staying either side of us .They were talking very loudly on the terrace until late and slamming doors which disturbed our sleep. So although very nice, one is at the mercy of whoever is staying in the apartments at the same time. This needs to be addressed .
We were a family group ( ages from 1 to 68!) and we stayed in Park View for 2 weeks over Christmas. The house was perfect for our needs. The bedrooms were large and each had it's own bathroom. The living area is spacious and plenty room to entertain guests - and keep an eye on little ones at the same time. The swing park across the road was very useful for amusing bored youngsters. Midhurst is a very attractive town with plenty shops, cafes and pubs - and within easy reach of other places of interest. The only criticism I could make was that the kitchen could do with an upgrade of pots, pans ...more
We had a lovely weekend at Kalami. The property has been recently renovated and is very well presented. It's location is also fantastic, just one road back from the beach. In terms of constructive feedback (and while the weather wasn't good enough for us to use it!), it would have been nice if the law had been mown and the garden tidied. Other than that, just great.
We throughly enjoyed our stay at Himalaya. The picturesque village of East Lavant is a great location. It is so well placed to explore Chichester and the South Downs. The cottage is comfortable and adequately equipped. We would certainly stay there again.
Great holiday in a perfect location. Abundant selection of books. Lovely neighbours. Attention to detail much appreciated. Didn't want to come home. Only negative uncomfortable lounge chairs.
We rented The Barn for seven nights as a venue to host a family gathering for our daughter's wedding. It was a very suitable location for such an event being spacious and well laid out. It was clean, generally well supplied with necessary equipment, crockery etc., bedding was comfortable and overall we were pretty happy with our experience. However, there were some problems that need to be addressed with some urgency; 1. The walk-in shower on the ground floor delivered scalding water and represented a serious risk to children/infants and was in fact quite a problem even for an adult t...more
Cozy, convenient slef contained cottage located in close proximity to the town centre of Chichester, just in 10 minutes walk you will reach the town centre. Water pressure and hot water supply was especially good. Comfortable bed rooms. Beddings and towels were clean and tidy. Large freezer and fridge which provided good food storage during my stay. I enjoyed a very pleasant week with my family in the cottage during my son's half term break and will put this cottage in top priority for future visit to Chichester.
Overall the house was ok, clean and great location. Personally i think a little work could be done with regards to the holiday letting side, no welcome manual, so no instruction on how to use the shower, heating, etc. and details on where is good in the local area, for dining and sight seeing. We were staying for nearly 2 month as relocating to the area, so for this length of stay, further items were needed, the hoover is hard to use, no mop provided for cleaning the wood effect floors. Only 1 door key. parking can be a little tricky in the cul de sac, no selected parking bay.
Beautiful house with lovely garden. 3 double beds and 4 single beds so great for a big group like we were. And house has got everything you need. Only the double bed in the garden house was quite uncomfortable and only suitable for 1 person, not a couple. But the other beds in the main house were great. In terms of the location please note that the map on the ad is very misleading, it shows the house being in Eartham and we thought we could walk to the local pub in 5 mins. It is actually 5 mins drive/40 mins walk north of Eartham! so don't expect to be able to walk anywhere. Also we found it o...more
We enjoyed the position of this unit and the fact it had a bath attracted us to it. Also no dogs allowed, so no danger doggy smells. I felt slightly vulnerable in bathroom as there was no frosting or blind in bathroom, so felt people could see in. There was a fault with the temp controls which we reported to owners who were going to look at it. Initial response was it was fine mon, it wasn't, we arrived mon, control at funny angle and were unable to add any cold water to bath or shower. Made us smile, usually in cottages cannot get decent amount of hot water for bath. However had we ha...more
Although we loved the location of West Mount Cottage and the welcome pack was very thoughtful, the 2 most crucial items in this property were sadly lacking. The beds were extremely uncomfortable (my husband suffers with a bad back and was in agony by the middle of our stay), and no relief could be found on the sofas as they also lacked any support whatsoever. No dishcloth (I bought one), mop and bucket, broom, vacuum or toilet brush were provided so any cleaning was almost impossible. I would suggest the beds and sofas be replaced to ensure a comfortable stay for future guests and more facili...more
Excellent location - it has its own parking and is within a 10 minute walk from West Wittering beach; a wonderful unspoilt sandy beach. Nicely decorated and in good condition - neutral décor and wooden flooring. We thought the property was perhaps a little smaller than we expected from the pictures. It probably lends itself better as a location to stay for a couple, or during the summer. The kitchen was equipped with decent quality items such as the toaster, kettle and blender and the vacuum cleaner ensured we could clean up any sand bought back from the beach(!). It was also helpful to...more
We stayed at Fisherman's Cottage and found it charming. Beautiful location near the beach and ideal for all ages. The children loved the games room which was filled with interesting things and the room above overlooking the sea was great to chill out in. Good sized rooms and all you could need there.
Originally booked the property for a party of 5 adults and 2 small dogs but due to health issues only myself, my wife and our small dog stayed so we had all the bedrooms to choose from. Furnishings were more than adequate and very comfortable, especially the large double bed in the main bedroom, undoubtably the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on. We've stayed in similar properties all over the UK but have never stayed anywhere that's been so comprehensively equipped. This is a huge credit to the owners Helen & Dave as there wasn't a single thing we could have wanted that wasn't th...more
We stayed at this apartment for just over a week. The apartment looks just like it does in the photos. It is modern, on the ground floor & has no grass garden, just a small gravel area at the back. The cleanliness of the apartment was only just acceptable. Bathroom mirror wasn't properly cleaned, the 2 bedroom carpets should be professionally cleaned or replaced, I did try to hoover them but the 2 hoovers in the apartment where not great. The kitchen/living area needed a good hoover too. The kitchen sink hadn't been properly bleached. Now I will admit that that I am fussy and some of these thi...more
Very much as you can see in the pictures and it is excellent for small boat owners as there is a nearby slipway. The second bedroom is small but fine for younger children. Also only a short walk to the village centre and pubs, cafes etc. My only small grumble was an error with the booking: the owners didn't know there was a booking that weekend and the beds hadn't been made and no key left for access. Fortunately I arrived during office hours and all was easily sorted. Might have been different if I'd arrived at night...
Our stay was for 2 weeks. The house itself is beautiful, nicely renovated with a sun trap back garden. Parking outside for one car very comfortably, 2 is tight. The living room/ dining room is a good space with a large tv. The kitchen is small but has good appliances. It could use a washer/dryer for the laundry rather than just a washing machine. We got lucky with the weather so the clothes lines worked for us. There were plenty of plates, cups, glasses, cutlery and utensils. The main bedroom is lovely, the second is snug with the 2 beds and has very little draw space. The big negative for ...more
Our 3rd visit. The kitchen is now lacking in some areas - the oven and knives in particular. WiFi is poor. Otherwise, we had a good stay.
The cottage is excellently located just a couple of minutes walk from the seafront and the excellent Lobster Pot cafe. Our children (12&9) were very safe on their bikes to cycle through the park across the road to the promenade. The accommodation is cozy but was a little musty especially in the kitchen area. The kitchen was well appointed and equipped for holiday style cooking. It would have been helpful to have somewhere inside to dry clothes etc as the weather was quite wet during our stay. Our girls loved their bedroom and found the bunk beds comfortable. The bathroom is through the main...more
Located close to Chichester, but somewhat difficult to find. You are pretty much in your own when you arrive, with little to no introduction to the property.
The bed was uncorfortable and the apparment is good but no like the pictures that show in the web site.
We urgently needed somewhere to stay for a few days, found this holiday let. Perfectly acceptable, but is more for warmer time of year. Owner was helpful and very pleasant having been put on the spot somewhat.
Kitchen was very small needed an extractor fan in the kitchen as the fire alarm kept going off. The small room outside needs a toilet as there is no where to go if you need the toilet in the middle of the night.
