Druim Mor, although positioned on a level site, has a terraced lawn and gives commanding views over the Minch towards Stornoway, the hills of Harris and the mainland.

Druim Mor is a very spacious property with five bedrooms. The wifi is excellent and the house is always warm, there is a boost button to use outside of the automatic time settings. Very useful if you are rained off and come home early.
I think that a lot of time and money has gone into the place recently, probably as a result of the new lettings licensing regulations, there are new fire doors throughout and not cheap hollow ones.
We tried to leave it in the same condition we got it, ie spotless.
If we need to stay again I certainly will have no reservations in doing so.

Perfectly fine stay; great location, clean and comfortable. Minor tweaks would be á downstairs shower with the same pressure as other taps/faucets. The dining table and chairs under the stairs are in a space where you can’t use them.

We had a great stay in a great cottage. Everything was good. And then the views.... The always changing lightplay of landscape, sea, sun and clouds. We could watch forever...

This is a special place where we can unwind and disconnect from our normal hectic life. Great location for beach walks, eating out and kids got to horse ride on the beach and have surfing lessons- just a 25min drive away. This was our 2nd stay and we will definitely be back.

This is the second time we have stayed at Druim Mor and it has lived up to what we remembered from our first visit. The house is spotless, comfortable, easily accessible and a perfect base to explore Lewis and Harris. It is close enough to Stornaway to access all the amenities and yet far enough away to be a peaceful and restful place to stay. Thank you John, Heather and John for providing a special place to be. Hopefully we will return in a couple of years time.

Have had workers staying in Druim Mor on a long term basis on and off since September 2020. John and his colleagues have all gone out of there way to help the guys over the course of the let it is very much appreciated by myself and the guys who have been staying, it has made life so much easier having had one place for them to stay for this entire time. The property had everything that they needed and was always clean and tidy. If we have any further jobs in Stornoway in the future Stay Around Stornoway will be our first contact. Can't recommend highly enough. Thank you again from myself and Ricky & Co. we really do appreciate all you have done to helps us.

Considering the difficulties encountered this year by both property owners and prospective guests, we were delighted to actually achieve our planned holiday in Druim Mor, and spent a very happy week there. The owner had warned us that he had been unable to visit the island since the beginning of 2020 to make his usual checks, and although there were some minor diy tasks that needed attention, the property was spacious, clean and welcoming and we would be more than happy to make a return visit should the opportunity arise.

Loved the Druim Mor house in Swordale! Beautiful views. We had a great time with family in Stornoway and the house provided the perfect anchor for our trip. Bigger than we expected. Very clean, the location was outstanding. Would definitely recommend!

Well appointed accommodation with all the comforts of home with great views. Just the right place for exploring the island of Lewis and Harris. We spent a week on the island and were able to visit all the attractions and highlights of these islands without having to travel too far. We would highly recommend John and his team for their help and flexibility.

My family is from the area so I knew it was a beautiful location. We travelled with friends & family to celebrate my Dads 80th. The house was very spacious and comfortable for the 8 adults staying. Everything we needed was in the well set up kitchen. We even had a fridge for the beers! The lounge is very comfy with plenty couches for everyone to relax. The bedrooms are all very spacious too. The added bonus was the wee collie across the road coming to say hello to us every evening. We all enjoyed the trip and look forward to returning.

The house was in a lovely location with excellent views. The beds were nice and comfortable and the heating etc worked well. We had an issue with the internet, but the owner was straight onto getting it sorted for us.

A lovely house with lots of room, everything that you need is there right down to the teaspoons. Quiet area of the island. The house provides a great view over the bay looking towards the hills of Harris.

Druid Mor is an ideal place to stay. Located conveniently to the ferry and town centre yet with a distinct rural feel and absolutely stunning views across the estuary and beyond to the mountains.
A short walk from the garden is a lovely cliffside walk.
We were thrilled with the standard of cleanliness and the high specifications in this house. Every modern appliance was provided and the king size beds were most comfortable and had top quality linen.The sitting room and kitchen are very pleasant places to sit, relax and enjoy the views, or the satellite tv come nightfall.
This is a very high quality house on the beautiful island of Lewis, the owner was most helpful , and we would definitely recommend this property to anyone..Looking forward to returning in the not too distant future.

We spent a great time in that large house with a beautiful view. There s everything you need in the house. It is very well equiped. Thé bedroom are large and confortable.

Thé owner answer very fast to any question you can have.

Nous avons passe un agréable séjour dans cette belle et grande maison avec vu sur mer. L endroit est calme et extrêmement bien situé à 10 minutes de Stornoway.
La maison est très bien equipe. Rien ne manque. Les 2 chambres du haut (dont une avec sa salle de bain privee) sont vraiment agréables et très grandes. On s y sent vraiment bien.
Je recommande vivement

A fabulous house with great views, we had a luxurious amount of space for our group. The kitchen was huge, plenty of room for group cooking and dinner at the table for 8. Bedrooms were spacious as well and we enjoyed a very comfortable lounge to relax in together.
