Just felt small for us two and dog. Will book 2bedroom next time. Needed more hanging places for clothes and drawer places. More spots for hanging outdoor clothes and shoes and boots.
I booked with the team at Cologin to plans proposal and had initially booked a twin lodge in error thinking I’d booked a double. The team were kind enough to offer a full refund and suggest the Cruachan after hearing of my plans. This was the best choice as the place was wonderful. I had some trouble finding out where to go once there as I had lost signal so did not receive the text with directions but the team in the barn bar were incredibly helpful in providing directions to the accommodation. Came up to get away from Fireworks as have very nervous Dog - after checking prior to booking that it would be quiet it turned out to be just perfect. Weather was mild for time of year and sat with patio doors open on Nov 5th to utter quiet. Dog lay sleeping after nice day out walking. Been here before so know what to expect and as always they delivered. Thank you
We have stayed many times at Cologin as we love the location as it's quiet but yet so close to Oban itself. Also our dog is welcome. Katie and other staff are so accommodating.
We had a lovely stay last week. The cabin was clean, bright and well decorated. The location is beautiful! Its hidden and private, but close to the town so you can pop back and forward as needed. We brought our dog along, and there were plenty of dogs around. I wish some owners would've been more considerate however, as a couple of times I came out of the cabin and found dog poo right by the deck (despite the site saying to clear up after your dogs!). Myself and 7 friends stayed in the Cologlin Farmhouse for 2 nights, the house was exactly what we were after. Katie’s customer service was second to none. The farmhouse is located right next to the bar and restaurant which we were also met by great customer service and tasty food for a bunch of hungry farmers! Thanks again, we will definitely be back!

We had a lovely time at Cologin. We had planned a trip to Mull but unfortunately the ferries were not running, that was disappointing but we still had a good day out visiting Oban.The accommodation was excellent; very homely and I got a great night's sleep. Unfortunately I slipped on the decking in the patio. I would suggest a sign to indicate that the decking is slippery when wet. That aside I could not fault the place and I would recommend to family and friends.
