Creel cottage,Dairy House, The Old Cheeseloft and Byre by the Sea, coastal self catering holiday cottages , pet friendly and situated on the coast with uninterrupted views out across the Ross Bay, in the beautiful Stewartry District of South West Scotland. Sited on the picturesque Solway Coast. The sea is only a stones throw from the cottage! Location, location, location……when you want to get away from it all!
We had a fabulous week here, the house is stunning and extremely big. This is our second visit to Ross Bay Retreat and we plan on coming back next year, The location is great for walking and feeling away from it all but after a short drive you are in Kirkcudbright a lovely seaside town with lots of cafes and shops. Sue the owner can't do enough for you and the lemon cake on arrival was delicious.
This place is also super dog friendly!
WOW! What can I say about our stay at Byre by the sea.
The cottage is so clean, well presented and homely. Everything has been thought out with care and love.
We were gifted a delicious chocolate cake and ice cream on arrival and the kettle was warm.
The views from both inside and out on the patios was phenomenal. We spent a whole day just soaking in the surrounding views, watched the tide go in and out, caught sight of a regular deer visiting the shore, birds flying overhead and the sun setting. It was simply magical!
The beach, although a little muddy in places was a lovely place for ou...more
Friendly host, fantastic location, lovely warm house.
This is one of the most peaceful places I have ever stayed, away from the hustle and bustle of normal life.
I would highly recommend.
Creel Cottage was very comfortable & with stunning views over the sea. Everything had been carefully planned and equipped from the seaside decor to the lovely Stressless chairs & footstools. Definitely hope to return again. Thank you Sue for your excellent care & attention.
We really enjoyed our stay and it is inevitable that we will return!
The location is oerfect and overall the cottage meets all needs. Just a couple of minor points - there is a need for more coat hooks bith downatairs and at the bak of the bedroom and bathroom doors.
