Dalraddy Holiday Park was established in 1968. It covers 39 hectares of what was originally heather moor land. The park currently contains 82 fully serviced traditional static holiday caravans, 6 fully serviced wooden chalet style caravans, 67 fully serviced wooden chalets, 36 pitches for touring caravans and facilities for up to 50 tents making us one of the largest caravan and camping sites in the area. The park also sells static caravans and chalets and acts as a letting service for owners that includes cleaning.
Services on the park include a licensed shop; which provides a retail outlet for estate produce, acts as a booking agent for activities and has a computer with free Wi-Fi. There is also a launderette, children's play park and a recently refurbished central toilet block with under- floor heating.
There are an array of activities to enjoy which are available on the Alvie and Dalraddy estate such as Quad biking,1.5 km zip wire course, horse riding, fishing, gorge walking, paintball, bush craft survival courses, clay pigeon shooting, archery and stag feeding. You can even learn about the environment and history of the estate by enjoying a guided tour .
We stayed in chalet 71 for 7 nights in April. The chalet is clean and very comfortable and we were impressed with the service we received from the staff in the holiday park. The park itself has the most amazing views: unfortunately, this chalet is surrounded by trees which is why I've marked it down for location.
This was almost an ideal chalet for a family trip with the young children (1 and 3 year old).
Plenty of grass space outside for them to play away from the road
Very little passing traffic to be concerned about.
Not cluttered so very easy to move the ornaments to a safe place.
Good view of the Cairngorms and we saw some deer out the front window.
Close to the road to Aviemore and surrounding area.
Not so good point
only one bedroom was large enough for the travel cot
Overall we all enjoyed the location and were lucky with the weather and lack of midgies.

great location, comfortable static with decking around it lovely and peaceful caravan park set in a woodland and friendly .staff.
Aviemore 3miles great places to eat sit in or takeaway.. highland wildlife park 10mins drive
plenty of walks not far from caravan will be back again thanks x
Proved to be the perfect setting. Very quiet surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife. Superb walks running from the campsite to Aviemore or Kincraig. Central for all main sightseeing resorts and towns.
Stayed for a week with kids, very happy with accommodation. Everything was clean and tidy. Chalet was in very good condition and had all mod cons. Would recommend. The traditional sweet shop in Aviemore was also a hit!
The chalet was warm clean and enjoyable It would benefit from a shower in the main bathroom rather than just in the ensuite The location for views was amazing and isolated but its meant there was a half mile walk in pitch dark on rough roads at night when the barrier was down But the chalet was beautiful and well furnished and tidy
What was good:
Good views from the chalet and lots of space around
Useful veranda at the back for storing bikes out of the rain
Shower was powerful
Underfloor heating worked well
Water was piping hot
We had a problem with the shower - the staff were very helpful and got a plumber in to fix it the next day
And not so good:
Chalet looks a little run down from the outside
Kitchen and bathroom could do with some updating
Only two small pans and a frying pan to cook with - a casserole dish and bigger pan would be useful
Mattress protectors would be practical on kids beds
Great customer service over the phone when booking. Booked campervan in for two nights but we went to visit friends and on return someone else was at our pitch 218 on the second night. They had plugged in, had slippers on and a beer in hand so didn't have the heart to push them off. They said that they had called but no one was answering at the office since it was after hours so just helped themselves to our space. Finally got someone on the phone and we were offered a cramped space next to the toilet block so drove round site to find a better one and called back to confirm it was available. W...more
