Dalraddy Holiday Park was established in 1968. It covers 39 hectares of what was originally heather moor land. The park currently contains 82 fully serviced traditional static holiday caravans, 6 fully serviced wooden chalet style caravans, 67 fully serviced wooden chalets, 36 pitches for touring caravans and facilities for up to 50 tents making us one of the largest caravan and camping sites in the area. The park also sells static caravans and chalets and acts as a letting service for owners that includes cleaning.
Services on the park include a licensed shop; which provides a retail outlet for estate produce, acts as a booking agent for activities and has a computer with free Wi-Fi. There is also a launderette, children's play park and a recently refurbished central toilet block with under- floor heating.
There are an array of activities to enjoy which are available on the Alvie and Dalraddy estate such as Quad biking,1.5 km zip wire course, horse riding, fishing, gorge walking, paintball, bush craft survival courses, clay pigeon shooting, archery and stag feeding. You can even learn about the environment and history of the estate by enjoying a guided tour .
We'd previously had a fantastic stay at Dalraddy and were keen to return so booked Chalet 71. The chalet is very well equipped, spacious, clean and comfortable and easily accommodated our party of 5 but could comfortably accommodate 8. The finishes in the chalet are to a high standard, especially the bathrooms and kitchen, which was a great size. The sauna is a great addition. The location of the chalet is in a very quiet spot, well secluded from other chalets. Sadly while there is no mountain view due to the pine trees, it did mean that we were secluded and while in the living room we were ab...more
Beautiful chalet with excellent facilities, really clean, lovely furnishings and king size bed. Had everything we needed as a family, washer / dryer, dishwasher, microwave etc. Wifi but poor signal so can't be relied on. Great location, close to Aviemore, you can cycle there in half an hour or drive it in about 5 mins. Brilliant cycle paths around the site, amazing scenery and very quiet. Shop on site for essentials and you can book activities there. Did quad biking, pony trekking and zip park, all really good. Chalet 36 was a great find, would def go back again.
This caravan was perfect for our first little holiday with our 2 year old son. He loved the caravan and was really sad to be leaving. The location was excellent, 5 minutes in the car to Aviemore and there was so many activities to do locally that we wished we were staying longer.
The chalet was warm clean and enjoyable It would benefit from a shower in the main bathroom rather than just in the ensuite The location for views was amazing and isolated but its meant there was a half mile walk in pitch dark on rough roads at night when the barrier was down But the chalet was beautiful and well furnished and tidy
We very much enjoyed our stay in chalet 48. Everything was fine, but two things would have been an improvement -
a larger fridge--the one there was very small for 6 people. Some chairs to sit outside on the balcony, since we were lucky enough to have some sunshine. We do hope to return to chalet 48 again.
draddy is a beautiful campsite well located only a couple of miles outside aviemore. Our pitch was more than big enough for our six man tent and car and had natural shelter from the pine trees. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable of surrounding area. Campsite and toilet blocks were clean and tidy, secondary toilets near our pitch could have done with better lighting through the day though. Lots to do for our three young kids in aviemore and they also enjoyed he play park on site. Overall we loved this site and will be back next year, thank you dalraddy campsite, I would definitely recommend ...more
