We stayed at Church House Farms for around 11 weeks over this summer, in two different stints, after moving back to England from another country. Staying here has been a wonderful experience.
The house itself is clean and comfortable, everything works well, the shower is amazing. The property grounds are delightful, with centuries-old trees, ducks and sheep and a host of wildlife as regular visitors. The grounds have a steam room and jacuzzi, which we did not try out but it looks great. The area is very rural with pretty lanes leading to tiny hamlets and villages - but if you have a car it is not far to get to supermarkets, banks and other amenities.
The hosts are lovely and made sure that we had everything we need. When we first arrived they brought us farm eggs, there were tea, coffee and biscuits; they gave us advice about the local area, helped when our car broke down and helped us with printing and other practicalities.
Overall this is a fantastic place to stay and I am sad to be leaving. I can't recommend it enough.
