Our stay at Rona started off with a warm welcome from the cottage owner and continued with spotting a whale from the lounge window within half an hour (we set our scope up straight away). The cottage was spotlessly clean, very warm and cosy and was gorgeously light. The kitchen was equipped with all the equipment you could need and the bed was very comfy. The area around the cottage is very picturesque. Whales, dolphins and porpoises are regularly seen from the cottage window and on occasion you can even spot submarines. The cottage is a perfect place to stay.
An excellent central apartment, close to railway station. Well appointed for two couples with everything you need for a self catering week. Good contact with owner who was very helpful. Five minutes walk to the main shops and excellent restaurants. We can recommend The Fig and Thistle just down the road.
Would definitely recommend this property and hope to return ourselves.
This is the first time we have stayed on the West Coast mainland of Scotland and enjoyed the holiday immensely. The cottage had everything you need for a holiday and even though the weather was against us it didn't matter as we still got out and about. Having previously visited the Scottish Islands many times we are well used to experiencing more than one season during a day!
