We had the most wonderfully relaxing stay in Mardon Cottage. The accommodation was excellent – super comfy and cosy with everything we needed for a week away. The play room in the attic was a huge hit with my 6 year old and to have our own little garden which caught the afternoon sun was a bonus. The play barn provided lots of evening entertainment and we borrowed the bikes twice during our stay for a cycle along the river towards Fingle Bridge. This was our third stay at Clifford Barton. It's perfect for an extended group as we had two cottages but managed to fit everyone around the large dining table in Bridesmere for dinner. The two huge sofas in the lounge area are comfy and great for socialising, while the large dining table also makes board and card games for lots of people possible. The bedrooms are nicely furnished with plenty of space and comfy beds. We also enjoyed the hot tub as a treat one evening, enjoying spectacular stargazing in the dark skies of this remote location.
