I hired the lime house for a Hen Party I was organising, through out the booking process and prep for the weekend Rachel couldn’t have been any more helpful. The house is so spacious and located on a stunning farm, the kitchen is so well equipped and it was a perfect location for our group of 22 ladies. The piglets that were across from the house were a much adored added bonus to the views and experience. If you are thinking about booking your the house for a hen I would highly recommend we had an amazing weekend and I would absolutely book it again.
Highly recommended for a family get-together, celebration, or breakaway in a beautiful place with amazing accommodation & facilities, everything you need is on-site, and I hope to make it back again sometime soon.
Loved our stay here, great location and lots to do in the area. The yurts were very comfortable and easily sleep up to 4 people.
We spent two nights here over the Easter holidays with the kids and wish we could have stayed longer. We had such a fantastic time. The weather was for the most part wet but the kids (10, 7 and 2) really enjoyed playing in the mud and puddles in their wellies and rain gear. It was our first time doing anything like this and we absolutely loved it. The hot tub was an absolute bonus! The facilities are great, showers and toilets really well kept and the kitchen was well equipped. It was the birthday of my partner, the place was amazing, very quiet and with plenty of things to do. We bought some meat and wine in an amazing local butcher in Slane, then we stayed in the hot tub for the whole afternoon (one of the best activities in the farm) with a glass of wine and then barbacue, The staff was super friendly with our question and gave us plenty of charcoal for the night and the meat. We will absolutely come back!!!
My sister and I and our 3 boys stayed for one night as a mini break over Easter school holidays and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it The weather was not in our favour but everyone still enjoyed it. Kitchen facilities are amazing, stove in the yurt was the highlight, led lights around inside of yurt was a big hit with kids, hot water bottles provided in yurt was a very pleasant surprise. Will definitely be returning this summer with more family for another stay
We chose this property to stay in for 2 nights for our trip to Emerald (Tayto) Park as it is only a 20 minute drive away and was incredibly good value compared to other accommodation near the park. I had stayed in the Ash yurt previously and was thoroughly impressed with those, and now having stayed in Lime House I'm even more impressed. The room was extremely spacious, clean and comfortable, as were the communal areas of the kitchen, dining and living spaces. We really enjoyed our stay at Lime House. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The site was lovely and we enjoyed many walks along the river. We would love to come back and bring the grand children.

A group of 10 of us stayed for one night at the River House. From first contact with Rock Farm they were extremely helpful in assisting with the booking, answering any queries, and helping to sort a craft activity we wanted to incorporate into the day provided by a third party. The check-in and out was easy and the house was warm, clean, and comfortable, and had the basics provided. There was lots of communal space and the bedrooms were spacious. We spent two wonderful nights in the Ash yurt enjoying lazy days checking out the wildlife and surrounding area. With such fabulous facilities onsite, it's a piece of heaven where you can recharge your batteries & tap into your inner child - thanks a millon Carina & Rachel for being such great hosts!
Beautiful location with very friendly staff. Everything was super clean and fully supplied with everything you would need for your self catering stay
improvement works are needed. Stone Pathways are needed between the Yurts and the toilet. During the night , it’s difficult walking across mucky ground with kids. The track/road needs to have the potholes filled as they are quite large and will damage cars. Suggest having direction signs to where the huts/yurts are located. I know ye have some but it’s not sufficient. I say this as I met people who didn’t know where to find their yurt. Kitchen area is fine but extra lights are needed. Excellent Accomodation . Spacious , comfortable and very well equipped . Staff went out of their way to be hospitable and welcoming . Couldn’t recommend it more .
Rock Farm Slane is set in an idyllic location, close to the town but far enough away that you feel like you're a million miles away. The Bell Tent we stayed in (Dexter) was comfortable but quite rustic. The beds were clean but I was surprised at the number of insects. I know we were "glamping" but there would have been less if we'd slept outdoors. The campsite has great facilities - campfires, kitchens with all the equipment you need, plenty of storage, a hot tub, a bbq and a pizza oven. Unfortunately the pizza oven isn't sealed properly (it's seen better days) so it doesn't work properly....more
We spent 2 nights at Rock Farm Plane for a wedding. It was a perfect location for a family-get-together! Wonderful atmosphere, all very cosy and a good service. We would recommend it!
We came as a group of 24 and had an extremely enjoyable stay. It was the first day of business after covid for the rock farm and they had the place impeccable. It is a very scenic and beautiful setting, I will most definitely be coming back and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Thank you Rockfarm.
We loved our stay at the Tamworth Bell tent it was lovely to wake up surrounded my the beautiful nature of the great outdoors. The tent was so comfortable and the kitchen and shower facilities perfect. We all loved our experience including children.
We had a really enjoyable two nights - four young kids and they had a ball - an ideal way to do the camping experience but without the hassle of pitching tents sleeping on the ground - lovely walk around Slane and the river as well and Newgrange Farm just up the road and a day in Emerald Park on the way home. I was actually pleasantly suprised at how fantastic the break was - dry weather helped a lot of course !!
I would have expected more comfort and cleanliness for a Glamping home! Pictures on website are more promising than reality. It’s not more than a bed in a tent with lots of insects/animals
