The River Waveney marks the border between Norfolk and Suffolk and Mendham Mill sits astride the river, surrounded by hundreds of acres of beautiful water meadows. Four award-winning cottages which include the stunning Georgian Miller’s House have been created from houses, a granary, and other estate buildings. The owners are on hand assisting visitors who wish to fish or make use of the canoes or rowing boat in the sparkling private waters of the river. With places like Southwold, Aldeburgh and Norwich all within easy reach Mendham Mill is ideally located.
Lovely holiday for our 3 generation party. Excellent bathroom for our disabled family member and generally very comfortable. Lovely views of the countryside, quiet and peaceful, and yet it's only 5 minutes walk from the pub! We'd definitely consider booking again.
We were in the Nest for the second time. It will not be the last time. The cottage, the gardens around the Mill, Suffolk and Norfolk are the reasons we will come back again and again. James and Nick are amazing hosts!
So wonderful to relax in beautiful surroundings - view aerial video on webpage.
James and Nick have worked so hard to create such a unique holiday experience.
The area has such a range of things to do - or just 'chill out in your own private garden.
This is our second visit and the diaries are being looked at for a return stay.

We went to Sir Alfred Munnings for tea on the first night and had a good meal and had a Chinese takeaway last night, loads of food!
Can't fault the Lodge, everything provided, from lovely ...more

We all had walks around the estate and appreciated the hard work that went into its restoration and maintenance. The owners were friendly, approachable and informative and talked about the estate and its history with enthusiasm. The hou...more
