This location, whilst tricky to find, is just fantastic; breathtaking views and peace and quiet! The cottage was clean and well equipt, including information about the area and lots of board games. Our kids LOVED feeding the chickens our scraps and the pool was a big hit and a decent size for proper swimming. We had good weather so largely used the house as a base to explore the area and all the beaches. The owner was friendly and helpful, but kept to himself which we appreciated. We would certainly recommend this property to friends and family and would book again should we go to the same are...more
Perfect home from home the ideal place to unwind and recharge the batteries. To see Wales at it's best there is no better place to stay.Beautiful views lovely country walks. The only way to appreciate the Ysgubor is to stay there.
The owners of the house, Kim & Nigel, are lovely and friendly people. The have made the house into a very comfortable home. Everything we needed was there. We could not have started our holiday in a better way. Thank you once again.
This is our third year here and we can't fault it. A very well equipped house with all you could need. The location is brilliant, good access to the lovely sandy beach. The grandchildren loved it. The owners are next door and extremely helpful.
We stayed here as our honeymoon and it was amazing. The cabin was really lovely and fully equipped with everything we could want. The views are amazing. The perfect place to recharge.
Another lovely stay in this holiday house. Everything spotlessly clean. 2 large settees to relax on. Lovely white bed sheets, bath size white towels. Mirror over the chest of draws in the bedroom would help, hotels and holiday homes it's always a problem so I take my own. Weather not so good this time but we were able to control the heating so no problem mornings and evenings.
The cottage was very clean and super spacious. Olwen was a fantastic, helpful and friendly host. And properly is located in a lovely quiet area located with easy access to Snowdonia, Conwy and Denbigh - which was ideal for us.
Our arrival at this cottage created an immediate "wow" factor, being set in an idyllic rural setting with extensive shared grounds, including a lake. The cottage itself is superbly appointed in every respect, with high quality fixtures and fittings, with an extreme degree of cleanliness and attention to detail in evidence. Within an atmosphere of total relaxation and tranquility, we found the proprietor most hospitable and accommodating, whilst at the same time not overly intrusive. The cottage is ideally situated 5 miles north of Porthmadog, enabling car travel across Snowdonia, the Lleyn Pen...more
What a find this cottage was. The little Coach House is ideal for an 'away from it all' break. Cosy, comfortable and lots of space for two. Perfect as a base for exploring Snowdonia, the coast and The Highland Railways. Or if you want a quiet day, lots of places to sit and read, inside or out. Lovely private landscaped lake area just 2 minutes walk from the cottage. Highly recommended.
We had a fantastic short break here. The cottage is immaculate - everything seemed very new, but there were lots of vintage features to give it a homely feel. It has been decorated beautifully and is very cosy and warm with central heating and a log burner. The beds were amazingly comfy, the kitchen is very well equipped, and plenty of gadgets such as TV, DVD player, iPod dock and wi-fi. The garden is spacious with a seating area that looks out over the fields and Abersoch beach. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you.
Excellent property in a superb location. First time to Anglesey and it's a gem of a place can't wait to get back!
We had a lovely weeks stay apart from the weather. The house was lovely and in a very good location for the shops, front and castle. The accommodation was very good. The only problem we had was with the heating we couldn't work out how to put the heating on. The paper work said it came on a various times but it always seemed to be cold. The parking was an issue on occasions but I think that was the local's being disruptive. All in all we had a nice stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Storehouse Cottage. It was the perfect base to explore the area and we loved the cottage so much we ended up adding another two days to our stay! It was an incredibly charming cottage and fully equipped with everything we needed and was also immaculate. The Queens Head Inn is across the street and they served as our contact whenever we had any questions. We also dined there frequently because of their fabulous food and service. We highly recommend the cottage.
We had an amazing time, the cottage was perfect for us Joyce was so friendly and was there to greet us when we arrived and had the cottage nice and warm for us, the wine and cakes were an added bonus. Thank you very much
Beautiful apartment ideal beach location , owners very helpful , perfect location , apartment new renovated and perfect for all
. Das Studio ist...more
Really nice but this thing insists I type more so I am continuing to type until I have entered requisite characters
A wonderful place, beautiful and practical, every little thing was thought of! We had a fantastic holiday.
We had a relaxing week in the gorgeous Farmhouse with our two young daughters. It is large and well equipped, with beautiful views across open countryside. Only a short drive down to the coast and nestled in the stunning scenery of Snowdonia. A perfect trip and a recommended property.
The apartment was great; ideal location and super facilities. Lots of space for 2 couples - big bedrooms, roomy sofas in the lounge for all to collapse on after busy days out. Nice to have the bedrooms on different floors as well, as it gave us the feeling of a bit more privacy for each couple. Unfortunately, the smell of damp and general dampness throughout let it down a bit. We did a wash while we were away, but due to the weather weren't able to hang the items outside, and some things weren't properly dry by the time we left (too warm to put on heating). Slippers and jackets left in the...more
We had a lovely time in this apartment, everything we needed- cosy, comfortable and brilliant views.
Really enjoyed our stay at Tapestry House for a week from Easter Saturday through to the following Saturday. There were 10 of us in all, 6 adults, 2 primary age children, 1 toddler and 1 high speed, (on his hands and knees), baby. In this upside down house the fitted child gates to the stairs were highly valued. The house is well appointed and comfortable with a good sized garden and a great balcony although the weather was a bit cool for us to be able to really enjoy it. Wi-Fi was a disaster over the Easter weekend but the router was replaced by Wednesday and everything was then OK. When...more
we were a party of seven including a 6 year old and a17 and 20 year old.The house offered plenty of space for all of us and having the extra upstairs lounge made all the difference. The owners met us in person and there was a lovely welcome gift of bubbly, welsh cakes, milk ,teabags erc. waiting for us. Access to the dunes and beach from the house is great (no need for dog leads) - straight out of the gate and you're on the dunes. we did all our own cooking and there was every pan and utensil that we needed and plenty of glasses and crockery etc. The only things that i can think of that w...more
We had a super week. The Piggery is a wonderful place to stay, and it felt like a little bit of luxury! The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need and are extremely welcoming and friendly. The location is stunning, and there is so many fun things to do within a close proximity.
I've stayed in a lot of apartments and cottages and this is one of my favorites. The house is very comfortable and exactly as shown in the pictures. It's very nicely decorated and has been renovated, so it has all the modern conveniences. The kitchen was the absolute best part. It was perfectly stocked with cookware, dishes, etc. so we were able to cook most meals at the cottage. The lounge was very comfortable as well. The upstairs bedroom was very large and the bed was pretty comfortable. The only downside was the shower. It is installed on a low, angled ceiling, so that if you are over a ce...more
We arrived just as the new owners themselves were moving in. They were extremely hospitable and helpful despite the pressures on themselves in just moving. However, the downstairs was tired, suggesting the previous owners had decided not to invest anything before their departure. The kitchen units needed attention and some utensils looked worn out, particularly the cutlery. The downstairs toilet/washroom needed better lighting while some parts of decor looked like retrievals from a car boot sale! The website also claimed the cottage had internet. For us, access to 3G is not the same as full...more
Excellent location ,quite and peaceful ,short walking distance into Conwy , would have booked for 2017 ,but the price has increased too much !
Picturesque settings, great for taking a break the hustle of every day life. Great central location to go walking or the to the coast. the laundry has a nice mix of modern and rustic features
This was my first holiday in North Wales for 40 years and the first for my family, we all had a great time, with many varied days out exploring what the North Wales had to offer had to offer, North Wales has many breath taking views. The house location being rural may not suit everyone, but for us the absolute silence, the views, the character of the house, made it awesome.we do hope to return soon.
Unbeatable vistas from comfortable large apartment. Never ending displays of sea, mountains and wildlife. Could of spent a week just looking out the Windows.
the house is lovely and modern, the bathroom is huge but I would prefer a bath as well as a shower, the underfloor heating was great in the bathroom and lovely toiletries to use. The bedroom is huge with a very large bed and lovely bedding. The kitchen is very small but useable, no washing machine but dish washer. No internet, which in this day and age I find odd, I thought it was advertised as having internet. We had a problem with the hot tub we tried to use it on the sat but it was showing 44 degree and was unable to even get in it as to hot, we rang the owners (one number no one answ...more
perfect place to stay if you want a peaceful time. The cottage is lovely and comfortable. We stayed in the winter but would love to return in the summer to enjoy the garden.
The good things first. Location, yards from the beach, wonderful views from the house. Bedding and towels spotless and lots of cutlery, plates, etc. Layout of house inside is good. However, the house is in desparate need of a facelift as the interior and exterior needs a coat of paint. Outside space is good but the weeds are coming through the decking, the garden is overgrown and the outdoor furniture is wooden, has not been maintained and is in poor condition and broken in places. When we arrived, with the house having been vacant the previous week, the first thing we had to do was clean the ...more
Peaceful, relaxing, calm. Great family get together place. Would go back again. Sort water heater out on arrival or cold showers
Beautiful modern property but spoilt by its location. No garden, shared access with rundown chapel and no pet walking area as it is in the midst of row of dilapidated housing. It is uphill so is not suitable for people with mobility problems but is ideal for surfing enthusiasts.
We had a beautiful stay with our whole family including our grandparents and dogs, wonderful walks around and fresh crabs from Church Bay. The cottage is perfect decorated - with a great sense for colors and furnitures.
Clean and comfortable with lovely view of the estuary and nice walk to either Conway or Llandudno. We did experience a smell of curry from the restaurant below on the Saturday evening and there was some noise from the extractors outside of the apartment. After a long journey it would have been nice to have a pint of milk and a bottle of water in fridge on arrival. The battery in clock in the kitchen needed replacing and the central heating was coming on later than specified. However, we did have a lovely holiday.
Beautiful location, lovely house though I wouldn't class as luxurious. One of the showers didn't work properly which had been noted by previous rentals but not fixed. Stingy with the logs for the burner. Having bats in the roof was a great bonus, and bliss not having wifi. Lake can get busy and noisy when weather good, so needs bearing in mind in 'high season' if you want a peaceful stay. There are no canoes ,,as stated by a previous reviewer , they were locked away. Having said all that it was a wonderful place to sit with a G&T after a hard day in the hills.
Ideal for what we wanted to do........able to park outside the property.......be carful if you have a low profile car ....the slope is sharp......lot of places closed for the season......but still plenty of things to do and places to eat.
Landau is set in a quiet, scenic location and the owner was welcoming. However, despite me asking before booking that there was internet provided and being assured there was. The Internet was not working. We needed this to book days out and plan our journeys, so this did impact greatly on our holiday. I spoke to the owner on departing and was told, 'yes it can be a bit hit and miss'. This is not what I was told by the owner when booking. Also the television signal only worked intermittently. For £600 I expected more.
The Apartment was very nice, cosy an clean. The fridge was full of delicious things for an original welsh breakfast. The furnitures were new and the kitchen was also well equipped. It was very near to the city centre and the promenade as well as the most of sights in town. It was a pleasant stay for our family.
A quiet and peaceful setting, the hall was full of period features and detail. 3 of the 4 bedrooms were of excellent size and all were ensuite. The garden was large and on 3 levels.
Spacious, well equipped and in a convenient location for sight seeing. There was plenty of room (six adults, one child and three dogs) and Anglesey is a beautiful island with lots of great beaches. We also managed to find a couple of dog- friendly pubs serving great food. we would definitely return to Gull House and Anglesey in the future.
We stayed at the Stables with all the family to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need for a great weekend. We were there with my four month old granddaughter and we asked for the heating to stay on and this was done with no bother. We were recommended the Oyster Catcher Restaurant by the owner and we spent a lovely evening there. Cottage excellent value for money and we intend to return
We visited Hunters Lodge for a weekend in October 2016. We were the only visitors so was very quiet and peaceful, just what we needed. An excellent Base to explore the delights of Anglesey.
