In the heart of Broadstairs, just a stone's throw from golden Viking Bay, Michaelmas Cottage is a beautiful double-fronted Edwardian home. From the moment you step inside, you will instantly feel right at home. Light-filled rooms with tall ceilings have been tastefully decorated in soft coastal tones of blues, greys and greens whilst retaining many original features and charm. The cottage sleeps six comfortably and offers everything you will need for a relaxing and fun-filled family holiday. Two modern bathrooms mean no queues when it's time to get ready and there's plenty of space for the whole family to unwind, whether you're playing board games or watching a movie on one of the Smart TVs. Wake up to beautiful sea views while sipping on morning coffee and enjoy slow suppers and laughter-filled evenings with loved ones. The flint-walled garden is a little sanctuary of its own, completely private and perfect for quiet afternoons reading a book or evening drinks after a day exploring, all in the shadow of the Victorian church next door. It is a real suntrap surrounded by trees and greenery.

With the beach just 30 seconds away, and independent shops, cafés, bars and even a vintage cinema on your doorstep, there’s no need to get in the car once you've arrived. Whether you are here for bracing winter walks, rock-pooling with the kids or simply enjoying fish and chips on the sand, Michaelmas Cottage is the perfect base for your next family adventure.

We enjoyed how close this place was to the centre of town, especially with two of our party who have mobility challenges at the moment. We found the internal finish to be a good standard, though a few guests before us had left their mark on the melamine dining table. The sitting room was a touch smaller than we’d imagined from photos, but the upstairs snug room was a welcome addition to offset that.

A comfortable house with every thing we needed for our stay. There is no off-road parking but we had no problem parking 3 minutes away on Eastern Esplanade. The location is great with 2 beaches and a good selection of restaurants and pubs within a 5 minute walk while the road is very quiet.
