We have had many happy stays at Flowery Dell over the years. It’s situated only 5mins drive from the town of Richmond and only a 20min walk. It’s a great place to relax and unwind, it really is our ‘Escape to the country’ The lodge was immaculately clean, comfy beds as always and such a peaceful site. We have visited in all the seasons but Autumn has to be our favourite. The colours around Flowery and the Dales were amazing. We visited Ripon which was only 35 mins away and had a fabulous walk along the canal with views of the marina and were lucky to spot a Kingfisher. There are so many lovely towns and villages nearby. Middleham Moor is a lovely walk and quite often the racehorses can be seen training on the gallops. Hawthorn Lodge has a lovely open field at the side of it and the wildlife on site is lovely to watch, we saw more deer on this visit than ever before! We travel as a couple with our dog and have always felt very much at home. The hot tub after dog walks is perfect and sitting around the log burner on chilly nights with a takeaway and bottle of bubbly is so cosy and relaxing.

Great location, lodge clean, spacious and has everything you need.
Hot tub is great for a lovely relaxing stay.
Garden table and chairs and a BBQ on the veranda are lovely to sit and enjoy the sun and have a bite to eat and drink.
Only slight thing would be to have a weekly brush of the decking around the hot tub and BBQ to get rid of the cobwebs and dead spiders!

Thank you for your lovely review. We’re so pleased you enjoyed the lodge, its spacious surroundings and, of course, the hot tub! It sounds like you made the most of the veranda and outdoor space too. Thank you also for your helpful feedback regarding the decking – we’ll certainly pass this on to the team. We hope to welcome you back to Flowery Dell again in the future.

The lodge was immaculate and welcoming. The welcome pack for us and our dog was very thoughtful. It had everything that we needed for our stay. The setting was peaceful, the only sounds were birdsongs. The hot tub was most welcome after a days walking! Flowery Dell is well situated for visiting so many places nearby. Wanted to stay longer!

We needed a quick break after a very stressful few weeks. Hawthorne lodge at Flowery Dell was the perfect choice. From the very comfortable beds to the hot tub it was just what we needed. Everything we needed was included in the well equipped lodge and the setting in the valley was delightful. Even the dog had a great time walking round the meadow sniffing for rabbits! Would definitely book again in the future.

I have been coming to these lodges for quite a few years now . Have been to others but this is my go to place all the time . It’s so peaceful, a perfect getaway. Lodges are immaculate and customer service always consistent and 100% . The lodges are in a perfect spot , near to everything but lovely and quiet where they are . The best of both worlds. Never have I been and felt disappointed with anything . The hot tubs are immaculately clean . The lodges have every single thing you could possibly need in them . Nothing is left out . It’s a lovely peaceful spot I never hear anyone being rowdy or loud . There are two pubs close to you but also half hour walk to Richmond or 5min drive . I honestly never want to leave .

My husband and I decided we wanted a quick break from the world over the water weekend. Rang reception and the lady was so helpful. Luckily they had a cabin free for one night which was sleep brilliant.

The cabin is located in a quiet wooded area. Cabin was dog friendly although we do not have a dog, you would never know this as cabin was so clean.

We will definitely be back for another stay.

Thank you Deb for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. Hawthorn lodge is a great lodge and as you said somewhere to store boots and coats as well as the dogs bits is a great addition. The sky TV is a treat especially the sports channels. The local area is great for walking so much variety and some great places to eat that are a dog friendly which is a plus. Lovely lodge. Well equipped kitchen. Great shower. Quiet. Good location for walks. Good Bbq. Very relaxing. Dog walks on site, our dog loved them. Only negative, TV, no catch up channels, also hung on wall, I don't like looking up at it. But other than that everything was perfect.

We loved the setting of our log cabin overlooking the meadow. It was very well equipped, clean & spacious. We had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. It was perfect for us 3 & our big dog. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise!
We made full use of the hot tub & enjoyed our walks around the property. The staff were very welcoming & helpful.

Booked here on the day and weren't disappointed. The lodge was lovely, overlooking the meadow. Great hot tub, gas BBQ and inside was clean and comfortable. The outside furniture was fine but more comfortable modern table and chairs would finish it off. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We have stayed here on numerous occasions and love it. So much so we really don't want to try anywhere else. We usually travel with 2 dogs and the large field and woodland walk is ideal for them.
The lodges are beautiful and always immaculate. They have everything you could possibly need during your stay. The dog packs are well worth getting for the small additional cost.
The positioning of the lodges are such that you aren't overlooked making the hot tub and balcony area very private. It is so quiet and peaceful and only a short walk down into Richmond ( around 20 minutes) where there are lovely small shops, bars and restaurants. Ideal to just ditch the car for a few days/week. There are a couple of pubs near to the site which serve food too. If you need to shop Catterick is only a short drive away with a whole array supermarkets and larger shops.
Would highly recommend. The staff are so lovely, friendly and helpful. Can't wait for the next trip.

Helpful. The surrounding area has some magnificent walks and places to explore. We will definitely be back later in the year. The best place to stay at if you want peace and quiet.

The setting is superb with loads of areas to walk dogs. Lodge has every facility you need, is spacious and very comfortable. Reception staff are exceptional. All in all this can not be faulted, and it's not often I say that. Can't wait to go back.
