Nine traditional Irish Cottages situated in Tullycross village within ten minutes drive from uncrowded beaches; the finest fresh-water angling; sea fishing; golf, picnics on the islands dotted off the seashore; pony trekking and invigorating tramping through the plum coloured mountains of Connemara National Park.

Your cottage is a romantic blend of the rustic and ultra modem, combining the traditional design of the authentic Irish thatched cottage and home comforts like an all-electric kitchen and central heating throughout. The area has a variety of good shops, pubs and restaurants. Babysitting, cleaning and other optional services can be arranged. Cots on request. Washer/Dryers and colour T.V.'s. Pets welcome.

1 dbl, 1 bunkbeds, 1 roll-out

Very uncomfortable and not young child friendly. Nothing to do for young families in Area.

Generally unpleasant experience and left after 2 days(3 nights) of our 1 week booking. Firstly, had to contact the owners after the booking and money being paid (which is not what Irish Self Catering Cottages say should happen) to confirm the booking and which cottage we were in. Also to make them aware that we had a 2 year old child. They said they would provide a cot but it never appeared. On arrival it turned out we were in a different cottage from the one in the email. The bedding was damp and the floor in the downstairs passage and toilet were
always wet and slippy. It seemed come from water rising in the toilet. Upstairs the window didn't close but downstairs only the bathroom window opened. No stair gates and wood burning stove with no appropriate fire guard further highlighted the lack of young child friendly status. Due to lack of cot we spent entire (shortened) stay waiting for ourchild to fall out of bed or bringing him into our bed to keep him safe so nobody had much sleep. Apart frim the stove the cottage did have oil heating with floor vents. These sat up slightly and were not in good condition. Had to ensure everyone always had their shoes on so that their feet weren't cut.

Dear Nicola We are so disappointed that you left you did not enjoy your stay and that you left before we could address the points you raised. When you had not arrived by 9pm we thought you were not coming and I apologies for the confusion that ensued. I was unaware that the cot had not been transferred from Cottage 1 to Cottage 9 and did not find this out until they were leaving on Tuesday. This upset me very much as it could have been rectified in minutes had I been contacted and both parents and baby would have had a good nights sleep. I apologise and take full responsibility for this mistake. Part of the charm of our properties which are more than 200 years old are the slate floors from the Burren and the sash windows. I am disappointed that they are not to your satisfaction. I had 2 people check the cottage on your departure And they found no wet floors and no trace of damp bedding and I can assure you that this would be something we take very seriously so that all our guests have a cosy and comfortable stay. Thank you for the point of the stair gate, we have now purchased one to have on hand should it be requested. We thank you for your comments and are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. We will be delighted to welcome them back to Renvyle for a complimentary stay and hope to show you that there is a lot to offer in our area such as; Connemara National Park – 2km Kylemore Abbey-5km Killary Adventure Centre-5km Oceans Alive Sealife Centre-2km Leenane Heritage Centre-7km Diamonds Riding Centre1km All are family friendly and most have facilities and play area for little ones. We have four quiet, safe sandy beaches on the peninsula and we are located on The Wild Atlantic Way and the Connemara Loop. Kind regards Anne
