Fabulous experience all round. Excellent location for exploring North Devon. The cottage was well presented, spotlessly clean, well decorated and equipped. The grounds were beautifully maintained and all staff onsite were courteous and helpful. Would recommend without hesitation and we look forward to returning one day soon.
What an amazing property! The Lost Manor was the perfect place for a family getaway. We so enjoyed having our choice of activities without leaving the property - swimming pool, tennis courts, indoor games and beautiful gardens to relax in! Alice was a fantastic host and ensured that all was prepared for our stay. Her suggestion of a Chef (Cooking with Gazz) to come in and cater for a special evening, was one of the highlights of our stay! We left the Lost Manor quite mesmerised by its charm.
We were looking for somewhere to stay where we could really switch off and Pipistrelle Barn didn't let us down. The weather was incredible and the barn is tucked away under the trees and very private. Waking up to the birds singing was so lovely. Coulscott is close to beaches and lovely places to visit. We didn't want to leave and will be staying for longer next time! The staff were so friendly too. I would highly recommend a stay there. Thank you and we will be back soon!
We had the best first holiday as a family. The weather wasn't so good but that didn't matter. There was plenty for our 3 year old son to do. The play room was great, as was the outdoor play area and swimming pool. He absolutely adored feeding the animals each morning. We especially loved the very friendly little grey rabbit. The hot tub was my much needed treat, loved it. Alice and luke were very friendly and welcoming. The cottage and whole area was beautiful. Can't recommend enough.
We went with our adult children and grandchildren (6 adults, 2 toddlers a baby and a dog). We were blessed with good weather so it made our week even more enjoyable. Pool and soft play was great and used them a lot. Drove to Ilfracombe and Woolacombe beaches very easy to get to. Went to the Wildlife & Dinosaur park in Combe Martin 5 mins drive away. Walks and feeding the goats every morning was a great fun. Hot tub was used most nights after kids went to bed. We even stayed an extra night we didn’t want to leave. It has the most amazing views and you are instantly relaxed when surrounded by su...more
We returned for a weeks holiday after staying previously, last time their dog Polly was only a puppy and now a grown up dog. Our cottage was very well equipped plus well maintained, it was a very peaceful holiday with other family members in another cottage. Alice and Luke were fantastic host and was great catching up again. We will definitely return
We had a family holiday at Coulscott with other family members and also hired Bantam Cottage, Peacock wanted for nothing as everything had been thought about, it was very clean and well maintained. Very peaceful with lovely grounds, children loved the pool plus all the play areas and various animals
Lovely site and we had a super week.We travel a lot and although the cottage was very nice we were expecting perhaps a higher standard when described as luxury.A few little niggles which we didn't worry about but Alice would have dealt with we are sure very promptly. Parking is very limited. There are electric car chargers which is great however we had an issue accessing these as non electric vehicles blocked access. There were only two electric cars on site and we think the site was not full.Possibly overkill but large signs indicating for electric vehicles chargers would be sensible but I acc...more
We rented both the Farmhouse and Georgian House at the beginning of July for our first complete family gathering, which comprises our three children with their respective spouses and each with their two sons ranging from 3-18 years. The families are spread over three continents so not a simple task to achieve. The two houses are adequately integrated to make it almost transparent that it is two properties. Meals were consumed mainly in the Georgian kitchen, which was a bit of a stretch for 14, although the round table outside with parasol was also utilised at times. The Farmhouse kitchen ...more
We stayed at this beautiful house in late September 2024 as a family of 9 plus baby. Beautiful views and lots to do even if the weather is wet. The soft play area and indoor swimming pool came into its own for our toddler. There is a really good outdoor area with trampoline, tractor and lovely large Wendy house to name a few.
