Our family, including a toddler, had a wonderful stay at Ferry Point House in August and cannot recommend the property highly enough. The house has stunning floor-to-ceiling windows giving a 180-degree view over the wonderful scenery of the Gare Loch. The house is fully, and very thoughtfully, appointed, with a high level of comfort and has capacious bedroom and living room space.
This is the third time I have stayed at Chapelhill with a group of friends and family, and it will not be the last. The host Liam really goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and will happily sort out any issues at the drop of a text or call. The house is a perfect size for 8 people and is well equipped with absolutely everything you could need. Every time we return he has added some new features..since last year he has added a fully equipped gym on the ground floor of the boathouse as well as wireless phone chargers beside all the beds, and he has even decorated the washing machine to ...more
Had a lovely relaxing 5 night stay for our Anniversary. Had everything we needed with a fabulous welcome pack which was a lovely touch. A few minor issues for us. Very peaceful apart from the main road noise with the bedroom being very close, we closed the window vents which made it much better. Water was brown which was strange seemingly from the hills so had to boil water to drink and not a nice look when running the bath. The blinds were nice, however didn't block out the light which in the bedroom, is a must for me when on holiday. We still had a really lovely time.
Excellent accommodation Good / responsive customer service Fab views of the loch Good location to explore
Genuinely one of the most scenic places we have stayed. The lodge had everything you need for a cosy break.just a short walk to duckbay marina and Cameron house for lunch/ dinner.excellent communication from start to finish.
We loved the apartment and especially the view. Secure & safe parking in the gated castle grounds. Just a couple of very small annoyances, fireworks very late one night - I suppose as the venue offers a small wedding/celebration party venue and also there appears to be no soundproofing from the apartment above, the occupant was a insomniac with clogs on!!
We enjoyed our stay in the Cottage. Unfortunately we arrived on a Sunday with masses of people who also enjoyed the week-end at the Loch. We were also disappointed by the village Luss as on the internet it was described as a lively little town with numerous places to go (which was not really the case). We had initial troulbles to get into the cottage and therefore contacted the lady mentioned for assistance during our stay (lodge manageress Caroline). Nobody answered the phone and we had no call back in the whole 2 days during our stay. Fortunately we finally managed to get in. Otherwise we w...more
If, strictly speaking, the term "luxury" refers only to the lodges, then unable to comment further; however, if the self-service accommodation within the castle building is also included then the term should be taken with a pinch of salt.... The castle and the surroundings, of course, exude luxury and make for a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable stay, but the apartment we stayed in did not fully live up to this: although it benefited from many comforts (and not just the basics), cleanliness and maintenance left a lot to be desired, the drive leading from the main road to the castle is full o...more
Cannot fault the facilities available and sauna and hot tub excellent. Cottage had everything you would require.
A lovely peaceful setting and a comfortable lodge. Everything was really clean and the starter pack was helpful. There are a couple of things it might be useful to know before staying: - the bathroom is on the ground floor and the stairs to the mezzanine bedroom are quite steep and polished so might not be suitable for less able/older guests. - the light in the bathroom is on a timer and it does go out when you are showering. The room is dark as there is no window. Also it would be useful to have some printed information in the house on the local area - walks, access to the Loch, restaur...more
Flat definitely has the wow factor. Huge picture windows overlooking the loch - couldn't be better Very comfortable bed, but sofa could be more comfortable.
This place is absolutely beautiful the bedrooms and sitting rooms overlooking the lake are beautiful and peaceful, the cottage is well set up with everything that you need it’s like a home from home. I will definitely be back, it’s a nice peaceful break.
Well appointed accommodation. Kitchen well equipped. Two TVs with satellite. Good bathroom. Comfortable lounge with high ceilings. Spacious flat in an excellent position. Short walk to Loch Lomond beach. An excellent value for money stay.
Nothing luxurious about No 15 - short on soap, no toiletries and very mean with toilet paper. Also five wine glasses between six is not enough. Noise insulation very poor - could hear every whisper above and through the wall from neighbour’s tv. Really needs a downstairs loo? Whole complex would benefit from some kind of hub - cafe/shop? Thank goodness for Duck Bay! Adequate but saved only by location at loch side - hedges straight in front need cutting back urgently. Could be soooo much better!
