Lovely clean and tidy accomadation. Had a good view of torbay would recommend to family and friends.
A beautiful cottage in a fab location. Steep stairs up and down to harbour area but easy if taken slowly! Cottage was beautifully decorated and attention to detail was brilliant. The pretty bedrooms for the children were very special and a nice change to the normal bland functional spaces. Deleighted to see crabbing nets and buckets available for us to use and buckets and spades for the seaside too. Washing machine and dishwasher was an added bonus too. The views from the cottage were amazing and even though there was no outdoor space to relax in the short walk to the great cafes made up ...more
Thus house is amazing. It has everything you need and caters for 8 people very well in terms of space and bathrooms. Views over the harbour are breathtaking. We are already looking at dates to rebook. The location is second to none, 10 mins walk to the harbour. Regular boat trips to Paignton, Dartmouth and Torquay. Lots to do and see and many lovely restaurants and pubs. We miss the house already!
Stunning location, peaceful and convenient. Very relaxing stay with the most comfortable beds! Would highly recommend!
Stayed twice now , brought family down 2 bed time , mom dad and sister want us to book again for next year lovely cottage spot on in every way
We have returned relaxed from our lovely home from home holiday cottage. The house had everything you need, comfy beds, towels provided, a well equipped kitchen, a stunning bathroom and milk and home made biscuits on arrival. We will be back.
Another great stay with Brixham Cottages. Can't fault them - Easy to deal with - Great properties - Many Thanks
I found the accommodation bright and comfy and in a good location. Well worth going back too!.......
very impressed with cottage close to harbour, spotlessly clean, bed linen and towels lovely and white. very comfortable beds, great bathroom a home from home atmosphere. only downside was a smell of pets, as we don't have any we probably noticed it more we left window open when we were in but when it had been shut up and on coming down in the morning it was noticeable. had we read up that pets were allowed we would not of booked it. all in all though it did not spoil our holiday.
We all have had a lovely time in this lovely harbour view cottage. We are thinking about coming back next year. There are lots of nice places to visit, and have a great time. Thanks Moonfleet well done. Mr John Stenhouse.
Stunning views of the harbour from this clean comfortable, well equipped apartment. Only downside was that the garage was too small for our car, but parked for free on nearby street without any problems. Plenty to do in and around Brixham. Would definitely recommend this property.
kittiwake has every thing you need and more only thing is the uphill walk from harbour when you have baby in a pushchair with all bits and bobs and not good for older people
St Elmo's Cottage is a pleasant home from home, a well appointed place to base yourself for a holiday in Devon. Spotlessly clean and obviously well maintained. The only drawback was a steep staircase which my 85 year old step-father struggled with, it would have been nice to have known about that beforehand
We have stayed at Moorings Reach on several occasions, and as always perfect location and wonderful town house. Everything on our doorstep.
This is the third time we have stayed here and have always been amazed at the location, stunning views and cleanliness of Top Gallant. Alawsys our 'go to' place to stay at Brixham.
Am writing this whilst sitting on the balcony in the sun. Do not want to go home! Four decks has the most perfect views you will want while on holiday in Brixham. The place is very well equipped and most importantly for someone who suffers with a bad back the beds are so comfortable. It is situated perfectly for walks into the harbour and town, and the coastal path. Have been coming to Brixham for 37 years since I was a child and this place matches the views I remember on those perfect family holidays. Steps down to property maybe a bit awkward if you have mobility problems but really not an i...more
Lovely appartment. Well presented everything we needed. Well equipped kitchen. Perfect for a couple get away. Good location in beautiful Brixham!
Had an excellent week. Directions and how to enter complex and accommodation excellent. Short walk into Brixham via Fishcombe Cove lovely and scenic. Lots to do in the area. Loads of restaurants across the price range. Pool excellent but could do with a few more degrees to take the chill of when we are lacking the sun. Could do with a parosol for the patio area. Would definitely come again.
We had a very enjoyable stay in the cottage which was near to shops, restaurants, and bus stops. The cottage is well equipped. Although it is centrally located it is not noisy at night. There is plenty of storage space for clothes and we were grateful for the washing machine as we were there for two weeks. It was exactly as described on the website. The parking space was an added bonus.
Our stay at Sandy Bottom Holiday cottage was fabulous, home from home and extremely comfortable. We loved it so much we didn't want to leave! The views were wonderful and we never got fed up of gazing through the lounge window. The only downside was the parking but to be honest, once we had sampled the cottage it really didn't matter! We are hoping to return next year if we can get the dates we require.
Perfect location , tranquil yet only ten minutes from the busy harbour side. Lovely garden to sit and enjoy the sunshine and the fantastic shoalstone lido 30 seconds out of the garden gate, a lovely week and worth every penny.
Have Really enjoyed our stay. We have managed to get around without a car using ferries and buses which are all located nearby
Our second stay at the Moorings End property - we love the location and having a whole house to ourselves. The property is well maintained and clean...it would be good to replace the sofa's in the near future, but i can see alot of investment has gone in to the property since last time anyway, with the new bathroom on the top floor and mods to the family one. We'll be back again im sure :-)
This is a very comfortable cottage with excellent views of the harbour from all of the rooms. Good for families and couples, although the stairs are quite steep to get to the bedrooms.
The accommodation was amazing and the views were incredible. We stayed for two weeks and loved every minute. One small niggle was that it overlooks a fish factory which can be quite noisy. There is also no parking which can be a hassle but once you're parked there is no need to drive as everything you need is in the harbour. Including fun boat trips to local attractions.
We had a fab stay at skylark. It is lovlely chalet in a nice park abd central to local town. Would stay here again.
The things that stopped us putting good for cleanliness was the draining board and the shower wasn't spotless. The cottage had everything needed to be comfortable BUT the mattress was very soft and didn't appear particularly new. The quality and the fit of the bedding was also poor. We also could not close the bathroom window (it was like this when we arrived), and the bathroom door would benefit from some attention as it needs slamming to shut properly and is very noisy. Having said all this we really enjoyed the cottage, the location was ideal and the outside space was very good. There was ...more
This cottage is ideally located for access to Brixham centre & the harbour and is in fairly good condition. Cleanliness could have been better- I found numerous cobwebs throughout the property and the top floor had not been vacuumed prior to our arrival. One other issue was that we were left with 2 bags of rubbish at the back door from the previous occupants and there was no information as to where or when to leave the bags out for collection leaving us with no option but to add to the rubbish pile when we vacated. Customer service was excellent - we had requested a high chair and travel c...more
The bungalow was very clean and tidy it had a good location for getting about either walking or on buses,I recommend going on the ferry to Torquay very reasonable. Its a pity there was no wifi thats my only complaint apart from that brill plus we were very fortunate with the weather heatwave ha ha,
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in little lookout. Wonderful sea views and excellent location. Unfortunately there was a problem with the Boiler in the property but it was dealt with very promptly by linda and Johnny at Brixham Cottages. Could not fault the service. This was the sixth year we had booked with them and we will definitely be back next year.
We have enjoyed staying here and we have enjoyed the view from the window. Everything that we needed has been provided. A bonus has been that it is easy to walk to the harbour which is lovely. It is in a good position for visiting lots of places. We have had a really good week.
A beautiful property situated a short walk from the harbour. The house is furnished to a high standard with the added benefit of the 3 double bedrooms having ensuite bathrooms. I would thoroughly recommend the property and would definitely return for another visit.
Comfortable, clean bungalow in a peaceful setting. Close to the coastal walk into Brixham and just 10 minutes walk from Berry Head nature reserve and cafe.
The cottage was fab, with all its quirkiness it was a real delight and we would definitely be making a return visit in the future. However, when I originally booked online there was no mention about the building works next door. It was around a month after booking I revisited the site to show my mum and was surprised to see the additional information added around the construction works and its disruption, however it noted it should be finished around the may mark ?? ( unsure exact dates). I checked the web page after that date and the note had gone, I automatically assumed the building work h...more
Had a lovely stay at the cottage, it was great to have such amazing views from the living area including balcony, plus two of the bedrooms. Great to be able to walk everywhere and park car away from house and forget about it. Compact kitchen but all you need for a holiday stay. Some areas need a bit of tlc but nothing that would stop us returning again. Would recommend it to friends and family without hesitation.
Smugglers is a very nice little appartement with a great view over Brixham and the harbour. Just a view steps and you are in the center of Brixham.
This is the holiday rental with the best view in Brixham ! Booking with Brixham Cottages is absolutely easy through their website. Directions and advance information is best we have seen so far. The Keepers Cottage however left us with mixed feelings. The location and views are outstanding, parking is close by in one of the few unmetered streets. It might be a challenge to find a spot though. We parked when we got there and did not move the car for the week we stayed. Basically you do not need a car in Brixham. All is either a short walk away or can be reached by ferry or bus (Torquay, ...more
The view sells this place for me, could chill out forever looking out at sea. Property is comfortable and clean. Only down side is walking up the hill.
Superb views from a well appointed, spacious and very comfortable house. The location is excellent with easy access to the surrounding areas.
The cottage is in a lovely location, only a few minutes walk to the town, but there is no car parking at the property, however, there is on road parking nearby if you can find spaces, but do not let this put you off. We have stayed in this area of Brixham before and it is convenient to everything and in a quiet area. There is a nice decked area at the rear of the property and harbour views at the front so ideal to just chill out an relax. The cottage is clean and really comfortable and well equipped. The beds were nice and comfortable. The owner has provided an interesting book...more
Wonderful place to stay with the most amazing views you couldn't wish for anything more. The only thing my wife mentioned was that a mirror near an electrical point would be handy and as always more coathangers, otherwise perfect.
We had a good vacation in the cottage. We stayed 2 weeks and it would be better if we would have received clean towels and linens for the second week. We used the wassing machine but the towels took a long time to dry.
We had a weeks holiday at Gulls Perch. We loved the location. Extremely close to the harbour & a fabulous location with good views from upstairs. You have to be prepared to walk a little distance down a steep hill to get your luggage into the house as you cannot park outside the priority. It was OK though & not too difficult. The property was clean but the bedding was a little tired & had small holes in it. We mentioned this to the manager of the cleaning agency on the day of departure. The lights also blew on our first day (Sunday) & these were not repaired until the following Thursday ...more
lovely holiday, rained a bit, but it didnt dampen our spirits. When it thundered you could hear the drains, On arrival the smell of fish n chips was poignant,.however we loved the holiday and will return,.the flat is in a perfect position . THANKS
This was our third family holiday staying at Dolphins and we all enjoyed it. The place has great views and is in easy reach of all the amenities, we will be back.
Stayed in Brixham many many times since 1993 but have always stayed over the other side of the harbour overlooking the sea but this year I left it late and cobblers cottage in Higher Street was about the only one left. We arrived early and the owners were still there cleaning. Charming couple who even took our cases upstairs after we left & went for a walk to let them finish off. Tea bags, sugar, coffee, milk, tea towels, washing up liquid, bath towels, loo rolls & hand soap were also provided which was brilliant & saved us having to buy them. The cottage was very small but served its purpose...more
Set away from the main hustle and bustle we had a comfortable stay, enjoyed the short walk into town
We visited little Cobden to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and were attracted to the description & photos on the website. The cottage was certainly unique and we loved the bathroom. The only real drawback was the lack of storage in the bedroom. We were impressed how well stocked the property was, and could see a lot of thought has gone into it. We did not need an alarm clock while away as our seagull neighbours were quite vocal. Although we enjoyed our stay we feel we would prefer a sea view of we return to Brixham.
Cottage in good location. Stairs very steep but did state this in description but not for the elderley. Everything you need is there only one thing when using the cooker only one half of the grill worked.
We had a lovely stay at Weston Cap which was well situated to walk into Brixham but probably only if you are reasonably fit - the uphill walk back might not suit everyone but as a walker it was fine for me. The house is very spacious and clean with everything you need, however in my opinion it does need a bit of attention and upgrading. The toys and games provided were really good for the children and the adults got quite obsessive with the jigsaw puzzles - a great way to spend your time when the weather is poor.
We had a great week's holiday at this property and loved its location close to Breakwater Beach, Brixham lido and the beautiful Berry Head nature reserve. The sea views are stunning from all levels and we particularly loved the top sun deck in the evenings and the conservatory for our morning coffee! The house is spacious and decorated/furnished to a high standard. Our only criticism would be in some of the equipment provided not being quite right for a house that sleeps up to 8 people. Small details like a bigger toaster (there is just a 2-slice toaster at the property) and a larger dishwashe...more
Just had a lovely week in hairpin cottage. The views are fantastic and watching the boats coming in and out at all times of the day and night was one of the highlights.
Lovely cottage with good amount of space and so handy to the harbour... only down side for us was definitely not disabled friendly AT ALL.. steps up to property are only for the fit and even the couple of steps to the front door are so steep!! Far too hardcore for even slightly less mobile.. this cottage is advertised with a disabled friendly icon - don't believe it just simply not true ... if you are 100% fit and able book it if any less that that then don't :)
This cottage was lovely and a great location as was a quick drive to Painton and 30 minutes from Torquay. It could of done with a washing line as I had to dry towels on the two radiators in the two bathrooms. The cottage has three floors with 3 bedrooms on the ground floor I asked the comfort level to my family sleeping downstairs and it was all lovely apart from the bunk beds my mum said she could feel the springs . The middle floor was a living room and kitchen they had lots of records, games etc to use the was good . The upstairs was an on suite bedroom with shower and toilet. It was a...more
You need a car - but parking in Brixham is difficult. Nice pubs and restaurants in Brixham. The area of the Dartmoor National Park ist beautiful. Its a short way by car to go there and it is very different from the seaside.
Excellent views, good shower. Dangerous stairs, 89 steps to get to street level. Challenging cottage
