We had a very enjoyable stay at Swallowsnest. We were a family group of 10 with 4 youngsters ranging in age from 3 up to 11. The swimming pool was a big winner as was the games room and outside play space. The cottages (2 interconnecting) were well equipped with plenty of space for everyone to relax.
Booked for a big birthday and lovely to be able to accommodate the entire family in what was really one property. Beautifully appointed with all we needed and large enough to all be together when we wanted. The pool was super and much enjoyed.thank you for helping to make this a memorable birthday!
We love staying at Cranmer Country Cottages, especially for the beautiful warm swimming pool, and the Norfolk countryside. I have to say that there were at times, twice of which were in the middle of the night, very loud noises from aircraft landing at the nearby Sculthorpe landing strip (which I read has the second longest runway in Europe). But I would happily go back to CCC for another stay, and would just put up with these aircraft noises.
Had a lovely time in Coot, just a shame about the weather, we chose a bad week. Max loved watching the rabbits hopping about outside our door. Just as well leads were mandatory. I do have to mention the V2 Osprey aeroplanes which one could hardly ignore as they flew right overhead, several times one afternoon. Can’t be helped and not your fault! I was unsure how to use induction hob and everyone very helpful.
Beautiful cottage just as I’d hoped, perfect for our family. Well equipped, everything we needed for our stay. Beautiful outlook - would love to come back for longer in the summer months to make the most of it. The children loved the games room and the swimming pool, and the private swimming hour was perfect. Ideal location for exploring the beautiful Norfolk coastline. We will definitely be looking to return in the near future.
We had a wonderful short break (2 nights) at Wagtail. The cottage was spotlessly clean and generally in a good state of repair. The location is very peaceful and tranquil with plenty to do within a 30 min radius. The pool was a fantastic feature; it's great to have allocated times so that we could enjoy it by ourselves, although we did also use it during the communal hours and that was no great hardship. Plus there's a decent games room which we used for a game of pool on our last evening. The cottages themselves are well equipped and come with an extremely comprehensive set of manuals and ...more
We adored our stay at Owl Cottage. The accommodation itself was lovely and clean, the decor was great and it had fab provisions for a four-night stay. The main draw for us with younger kids was the outside playground, pool and games room and these really didn’t disappoint. As we had a mid-week stay, we didn’t have any issues sharing these with the other cottages. The bbq was fun, and we really lucked out with the weather. The only tiny thing we’d suggest is providing some fly spray / fly tape because with the windows and doors open with the lovely weather it was quite the party scene for the f...more
This was our first stay at Cranmer Cottages (Woodpecker) and we were not disappointed. The cottage was extremely clean & comfortable in an excellent location. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and close to beaches and lots of excursions for the small people. We were particularly pleased at the low flying aircraft for the aviation enthusiasts amongst us! The swimming pool was a real gem as the weather was very hot when we stayed (mid August). The paddock for the children to play safely in was a huge bonus. Perfection in every way, thank you I am sure we will be back :)
We had the best time staying at Cranmer Cottages for a multi generational family birthday. Everything we required was in the cottage. It was very clean, comfortable and well designed. The swimming pool and games room were fantastic for our family as was the secure and safe field fir the children to play in.
We booked this lovely cottage last weekend for our family of six adults and 3 young grandchildren, (5,2,1). The cottage was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen with crockery, utensils, glasses etc. The bedroom mattress’s were soft, but we had the best nights sleep. There were high chairs and travel cots for the children. We enjoyed the swimming pool at the cottage, and having it to ourselves as per timetable. We used the games room and the children enjoyed the swings and slide in the field. The cottage is not far from the beach and other small village’s nearby. The family all enjoyed th...more
Given good directions to property. Instructions for parking and accessing the property out of reception hours were easy to follow. Fakenham not too far away for grocery shop. WiFi was not terribly good but the whole area around there seems to be much the same. We didn’t use the leisure facilities as we were only on a short break as our first visit to Norfolk. So much we wanted to see in the area. One little issue was the low flying aircraft which gave us a bit of a fright the first night wondering if there was a heating/water problem. From my FlightRadar App it was not RAF or US Airforce. Seem...more
